This is round two for this strain. The first seedling never shed its shell and stopped growing.
Space Bucket grow with 180w UFO LED and 2gal geopot.
Germinated using wet paper towel method recommended by Mephisto on AFN. Planted in a 3:1 mix of Fox Farms Ocean Forest and pearlite. Sprouted 03/22 (within 24 hours of planting seed).
First set of leaves started to twist on day 6. Not too worried, might just be a funky phenotype.
Growing pretty squat. Leaves are curling/twisting a bit due to a little overwatering and genetics. No nutrients given yet.
Light height is still at around 12 inches. I'll probably lower it soon.
Still growing nice and squat, hoping she fills out a little more before flowering. I've been struggling with low humidity so I put a dome over her and it's helped quite a bit. She recovered from overwatering just in time for another round of water. Started LST and it's looking good so far. Might start adding nutes next week.
This is a tiny plant so far, especially with the LST I've been doing. I'm fairly she's a predominantly 24K phenotype rather than Walter White.
Pistols started showing on day 23. Gave her a full strength feeding of Nature for the Gods and have been using their Bloom Khaos Foliar Feed. I only mixed nutes and watered with half a gallon. Have been bending and adjusting the LST daily. Humidity is also up and it shows.
In full flower now. Continuing LST and started defoliating this bushy plant. Made the mistake of underwatering and watered day 33 (with half strength nutes) then defoliated day 34 which is why she's looking a little sad now.
Starting to get frosty! The smell is amazing, too. Very fruity and sweet with a touch of sour. LST and leaf tucking has paid off well, I'm counting 14 tops. I'm doing very light defoliation about every other day. Feeding with full strength Nectar for the Gods.
Trichome production is picking up and the buds are starting to fatten. Have been feeding full strength every 3-4 days. Fed half strength day 48 because of some nute burn. The smell is heavenly; a mix of tropical and citrus fruit with some pine too.
So I burned her pretty bad. I flushed for two waterings and just gave a half strength feeding on day 56. I hope I haven't hurt my harvest too much. Buds are getting dense and fat. The smell is wonderful and hasn't stunk up my house even though I'm not using a filter.
Edit: The half feeding I gave her must have really helped because she's bringing back the frost!
Kinda looks shit but I think she's recovered from that nutrient burn I gave her a week or so ago. All the growth under the canopy looks perfect. The smell is lemon, pine, peppery, and very sweet. Some hairs are tiring orange so I'll be looking at trichomes in a week or so.
This has been a bittersweet week. I had to harvest the main cola due to bud rot. Pulled 10g dry. The good news is that the rest of her looks very healthy. I've started flushing her, it's almost time to chop her down.
This was a Space Bucket grow. The strain grew a little wonky in the beginning having twisted leaves and was a slow grower in veg. Once flowering started she took off! LST payed back dividends in the form of many tops. This also kept the plant nice and compact which was perfect for the bucket. Super frosty throughout. The leaves did get crispy towards the end and a lovely shade of purple. During flower she smelled of lemons, pepper, and quite sweet.
I've only smoked some that has cured for a week so I expect everything to be increased. This is truest a balanced hybrid. Smells of sweet creamy lemons. It is a creeper that eventually hit my eyes and then the mouth (bring something to drink). Mind was clear and body was relaxed. Share some with my mates and was a hit all around. Really brought out the creativity that night. I will absolutely recommend this to any first-time grower or a fellow Bucketeer.
@MephistoGenetics, How rad, thanks for the encouragement! I'm sure whatever I harvest will be great. Toof Decay is next up! Any chance of making a smaller Skywalker?
we haven't thought about making a smaller one, but if you want to grow one small let me suggest starting it in a small pot, say 1 liter, until the plant shows sex, then transplant to a larger container. or you could just keep them in a smaller pot their entire life, although watering and feeding could become quite a hassle that way. all the best to you!
@Grimbol, thanks! It's more about space than stealth for me. I'm definitely learning that it's harder to control the growing environment in such a small space. I'll be happy with an oz.
Wow dude what a heartbreak. Good try man. Sounds like it might be an air flow issue from the confined space. Good luck out there. You got the next one.
Also a piece of unsolicited advice, if there are any mold spores on one part of the plant there is at least one spore on the other parts that appear untouched. That means that once you put it into a jar to cure it, the spores will multiply and eventually the jar will go bad. I had this happen with my friends last grow and months later (even after a bath in extremely potent H2O2), we found mold in the jars beginning to spread everywhere. The potential side effects are just not worth it man, you can get really hurt. I would throw it all away personally. 😰 Sorry dude.
@Grimbol, yeah, it was airflow. Humidity was never that high. I learned so much from this. The takeaway for me and my small environment is to defoliate more undergrowth next time.
I've grown this cultivar twice and am currently growing another . This one I'm growing in my front window with 150 watts of supplemental lighting . I'm stretching this one . They all have tasted the same put I taste some grape on the exhale. I bought another pack for half price cause they're discontinuing it . Love it
