1/22/21 - Day 1 for all
Added about 2 tbsp. Bat Guano to bottom 1/3-3/4 Promix HP in each 5 gallon fabric pot.
Ones I covered with clear plastic Tupperware seem to have shed the seed husk before the others.
Temp outside closet is mid to high 60's but inside feels 75-ish
Using small personal humidifier and wet towel for humidity
Around day 2 lowered light to about 24"
night of D4 removed Tupperware from all
Fans coming soon!
After much Amazon confusion I ended up getting a small tower fan (Day9)
Using General Hydroponic Ph drops as my cheap meter is busted
Sour Stomper looks like a runt having practically zero growth since sprout
Moved everything into the new 2x4 tent D20. Super packed but once I transplant the photos we will move the autos back to the closet.
Looks like I stunted the Super Orange Haze somehow. I'm thinking I should invest in a quality pH meter rather than the drops.
Alternating between waterings with 1ml/gal Silica and 2.5ml/gal silica + 2ml/gal cal mag out of concern for jumping the gun on the feeding.
Ended up chucking the Sour Stomper around day 16 - Not sure what went wrong, but it would not grow past its Cotyledon leaves. It could have been burned as my light has been at 100% from the beginning, and both the SS and SOH were under the hottest part of the light.
On day 21, I started LST on MS and DG, and had to support the FS as it was falling over.
Noticed first stigmas MS, DG and SOH on Day 22
Top dressed FS, DG, and MS with 1 Tbsp Guano on Day 23. SOH received 1/2 Tbsp
Compared to previous runs, these plants are looking quite stunted.
All watered with Fish Fertilizer Day 27
I'm considering this Week 1 of flower, but the DG is a little ahead and FS is a little behind
Day 29 - Fed Good Bud Bro at 2/3 strength to DG, SOH, and MS. I Gave FS just a drizzle, and watered the rest of the way with regular water.
I'm considering this Week 1 of flower, but this is more like week 2 for DG and FS has not quite flowered yet (as of D29)
Day 31 - Top dressed all with 1/4-1/2 Tbsp. bat guano
Day 44 - Fed DG 2/3 strength bud nutes
Day 46 - Fed SOH, FS, and MS 2/3 Strength bud nutes
Day 49 - FS fading early/cal-mag deficiency. used 2 ml cal-mag in one 250 ml feeding
Day 69 - Fed Bud nutes full dosage to DG and MS
Day 70 - Fed bud notes full dosage to FS
Some nice colors are emerging as a result of the fade and lower nighttime temps.
Day 75 - Chopped SOH - about 7 weeks into flower. Mostly cloudy/milky with some amber. Showed some signs of heat stress. Minor light bleaching and fox tailing.
Day 76 - Chopped DG - about 8 weeks into flower. Mostly milky. Very thick, dense buds
Day 77 - Fed MS bud nutes at full dosage
Chopped day 75. Really not sure what happened, but this plant ended up quite small. All things considered, I'm still quite happy. The flowers have a nice green color with a nice amount of trichomes. I will update with a smoke report.
Not a very functional strain, but one of my favorites for if I don't have much that I need to do. Not super couch-locking, but it has a psychedelic kind of glow. The effects are "cartoony" if you will.
Chopped day 89. In hindsight I would've gone a little heavier on the nitrogen, as the plant started fading much earlier than I would like. Still ended up with a decent amount of quality smoke though.
Definitely the heaviest yielder. I made many mistakes throughout this grow but the Mango Smile proved to be a very hearty cultivar. Maybe would've fed a touch more nitrogen in veg.
