Have you used this strategy of the jiffy starters directly into the big rockwool cubes? Never mind I looked at other diaries.. curious why you don’t use a rockwool starter cube but obviously it’s working for ya!

@HydroHerb420, interesting.. Ive just seen a lot of ppl in the questions page having issues with the peat/jiffy plugs. Dampening off usually or just not making it past germination. Anyhow, we do what works well for ourselves, as long as it’s working no need to change things up!

@Ezzjaybruh, I always use rockwool starters for clones though as you seem to get far stronger and faster root development.

@Ezzjaybruh, personally just had more success germinating them in jiffy’s. A 40mm jiffy pellet fits perfectly into the big Hugo blocks as in does into 4” cubes. Actually fits more snug than when you drop a rockwool starter in!! Maybe Grodan are trying to tell you something with that one!!
