General: Another week of not much to see or do, just letting her grow out and trying to support her along that journey as well as I can. She has been looking strong and healthy with the beginnings of a nice strong thick looking stem. I have been feeling quite pleased with the growth so far as it is my first grow I don't have any experience to go off but to me everything seems to be going well. Watering/ Feeding: This week she has had two 1 liter feeds, one being a full feed on day 9 using the BioBizz range and the second feed was a quarter feed on day 14. I dropped the feeding on the second feed as she was looking healthy and I didn't want to overly stress her as someone suggested I may have been doing so in one of my grow questions, which if you're also new I would recommend having a look at some of the responses people have posted as they've been very informative and definitely an interesting read. I'm not sure that I was stressing her with the feed but I am no expert and she has been doing fine either way so the reduction has not caused any harm and is the safer choice to make as a new grower. Lighting: Around day 11 to 12 I changed my light output up to around about 70%-80% on my SF-1000 from Spider Farmer, so far very happy with the light fits in my tent nicely and gets the job done. I increased the light output because I am aiming for around a 30 DLI with my 22 hours on 2 off light cycle. I do not have a PPFD or PAR meter so I am trusting the PPFD maps I could find online as my guide. I would love to get my hands on the new Apogee Instruments DLI-500 or DLI-600 to enable me to dial in my DLI more accurately but we have to work with what we've got. Environment: I have been manually adjusting the fan positioning multiple times a day as they are on oscillating and I don't want to create any windburn or buildups of humility or heat anywhere in the grow environment. Humidity and Temperature levels have both been pretty consistent in my opinion. I have had a low humidity of 53% and a high of 75% over the week this being a 34.36% change, I would like this to be lower however both ends of this are outliers to the data, when the humidity is generally between 58% and 65% averaging at 63.3% which is only a 8.26%. Temperatures have hit a minimum of 16.1°C and a high of 25.1°C which is a 43.69% difference which again is more than I want ideally but as with humidity generally the temperature is between 18°C and 23°C a 24.39% which I am much happier with, with an average over the week of 20.8°C. Ideally I would like to keep the environment more stable than this but it is in a house that is occupied by multiple people changing the central heating etc. through the day meaning it is difficult to control as I would like. I will try to find a better system for my humidity and hopefully by next week I will have that a little more dialed in. As always I would love for any input people may have I am all ears to any suggestions or thoughts I love to learn and experiment with what I am doing. I hope you are all having a great week and keep it up happy growing.

I am worried about the leaf colour I feel like it’s slightly browned on the tips. Interested on what others that know what they’re looking at more than me think. Good chance I’m being over protective. I appreciate you.

Yes, you are being over protective, no need to worry, she is fine. Often the first few sets of leaves can be weird in all sorts of ways (odd shapes and strange markings) and not necessarily due to anything, just that the plant is still figuring out "what this growing thing" is all about. Sometimes marks like these are the result of people spritzing their plants with water in a misguided belief that cannabis is a rain forest plant and they need hyper humidity, which it does not. The water droplets on the leaves then act like magnifying glasses and scorch the leaves leaving brown burnt spots, so if you are spritzing, then stop. The only time spritzing leaves is acceptable is when cuttings/clones are taken and they have yet to develop roots. Spots can also develop from the same reason (water droplets) inside "humidity domes", which are again totally not required for cannabis seedlings, which need good air supply and air movement to develop properly. Hope this helps, Organoman.

I am worried that I either have early signs of PH fluctuations outside of 6.0-7.0 range or early signs of a calcium deficiency. As you can hopefully see in the picture the tips of the first set of true leave seem to have little spots of discolouration. Any help is appreciated😊

Plants look fine! New leaves will always be a bit paler at the beginning... that's natural! Don't worry about the discoloration at this stage!! The first leaves are pretty much always a bit funky. You may have stressed them out, though by feeding them a little too early! With my autos (which is all I grow), I leave them alone until they're about 1-1/2 to 2 weeks old and then start them off with 1/4 of the nutes. The next time I feed, I bump that to 1/2 strength and then full strength. Definitely add some microbes to that first feeding as they help the root structure become large and strong and they also help prevent lockout. As always, alternate feeding and watering... and always wait until they're bone dry. They're named AUTOflowers for a reason... they're pretty much going to do what they're going to do and as long as you ensure the ph of your soil is within range, they'll turn out just fine. Both your temp and humidity look good... good luck with your grow and relax! Enjoy the journey!

Day 18 leaf worries, browning areas, slightly metallic shine. I think from reading it might possibly be a phosphorus deficiency but I’m not certain so though I’d ask for advice. Thank you for your time and all answers are appreciated. Have a great day!

It is nothing, don't worry and it is not a deficiency, it is most likely a bit of staining from splashing nutrients on that leaf. Besides, no plant will ever have 100% perfect leaves, 100% of the time!

I was about to water and I saw that the leaves have a slight curling and small brown tips. I haven’t fed any nutrients since the 17th at a ph of 6.78 that’s 5 days ago and also watered 460ml as she was looking thirsty ph of 6.37. It’s only just started to show, help appreciated😊

Looking like a PH issues to me or they where ruining low on water and the water that was available in the pot was concentrated in nutrients thus giving them a little burn. Just a guess. not 100% sure. Good Luck!

I think I’ve got pests my two top cola branches have got what look like bites taken out of their fan leaves. I’m hoping someone might know what the cause is I’m thinking it’s a caterpillar, but I’m unsure on how to identify it or get rid of it. Help is much appreciated thanks 😊

Your using a heavy dose for such a young plant. How many times are you feeding? Just once a wk right? Looks like she's a little over fed, and leaf damage can happen by moving pots around, pinching a leaf. I think you'd notice a catherpillar or even such a large bug would eat that much in 1 sitting. And if it were any lil things, youd have multiple very small sites with damage, holes, and you can tell nute marks, on healthy leaves more often than not if you have a mag you'll be able to see where they were eating. Anyways just looks like a simple tear. But you are suffering from PH issues. Lower your PH to a more stable 6-6.3. So are great for taking swings in PH but if you have been giving that PH you could be causing unwanted issues like nutelock. With soil, the watering feeds are just as important as the nutes. As your water feeds come behind your feed and pick up and excess nutes/salts in the soil. Try cute down on nutes. You don't need such heavy doses with soil. 1ml/l at that stage is enough or 7-900ppm max. You can push 2 1400 if your plant can take it in later stages, much later, but always get there say in 100ppm increases or even 50's at a time. And 2 feeds max per wk. Other 2 should be water in between so 4 feeds over 8 days about 150-200ml either nutes mix 2 a wk spread em out and water in between. Best of luck pal.

Good luck and may the weed gods smile upon you mate. I'm growing this strain too, I'm on the 4th week and have been feeding them full doses of biobizz grow and calmag and they have been taking it no problem. Topped and lst'd 2 of them and just lst'd one too and they seem to love that as well

@GreenLiving, Hi mate thank you for the kind words. I'm finding autoflowers are tougher than everyone thinks, when I topped the two ladies they didn't even slow down they just kept growing. If you fancy trying it just cut above the 3rd or 4th node, but if you do be sure to feed her nutrients after because it helps with the shock. Yeah I normally feed at 1/4 or 1/2 strength but I thought what the heck feed her full doses to see how she responds and so far so good

@Green_fiend, thanks for the knowledge your growth is looking great. The feeding seems alright so far I am thinking about changing to feeding every other watering and do a full feed on the feeding days, I think anyway. I also might top I’m not sure how it all works but looking at your growth I’m interested, I know that people say autos don’t like it but I’ve heard a lot saying it’s fine or even better as well so I might experiment with it. Thanks and I hope your run goes great.

@Tropicannibis_Todd, 100% the best way to learn is by doing. That’s exactly what I’ve found through this grow so far if I want to test something out just do it see what happens try to learn what you can from that and progress.
