~~ MUSIC IS ON 😎 - since the 8th day, we put a radio inside the tent so the babies can enjoy some tunes (brazilian music, jazz and western classical music) while they grow .UPDATES & WORRIES - although we know it's not ideal to try tro train automatic seeds, we must admit we got greedy: on the 43rd day we topped lemon cheese and amnesia (figured it was a bit late to top ak) - wondering if the plants are too small? it's our 1st grow, and since they're automatic we're worried that they should be bigger by now (especially when comparing to other diaries). even though they're small in comparison, they did grow fast and are getting stronger :) * * * day #42 - added a bit more soil to ak - moved the lights down to 40cm after checking other diaries for auto seeds - added a dry pot dehumidifier to the tent (it's a rainy season so we're not sure it will do a lot, but we're trying) * * * day #43 - scrOGged the babies .WATERING - every 2/3 days (once we realize the soil is getting dry) we're adding ~600ml of filtered/boiled water - since ak is flowering, we're changing her to 800ml and will try to water her more often

Started with 70cm (afraid to "burn" the leaves), but moved it down to 40cm after checking other grow diaries for auto seeds. Should we keep the lamp ~25-40cm away from the plant from now on? *Lamp is a 300W LED panel (full spectrum)

Unfort I cant give you a set distance and be confident its the right distance as every strain is a bit diff. Even diff phenos of the same strain can be diff. One plant might love 40cms while another gets light burn. The best advice i can give you is to use the charts the light company gives you as a guide and tweak it as needed. If the company says 40 cms for example during bloom, Then id go to 50 cms for 3 or 4 days and see how plants look-if good then id drop to 45cms for a few more days and see how plants look, if good then either leave it or drop it to 40 cms and see how they go. if at any point they start to look less than happy, you know that distance is too close and to raise it back up to the last distance the plant was happy at. Thats if your trying to squeeze every last watt and photon out of your light and push the plants as hard as possible. This is an added cause of stress, some plants can take the added stress of very bright light just fine, while others will very quickly show you they dont like it. If your not trying to push the plants as hard as possible, then just find a distance thats working just fine and run with it. if 40cms is working then stick with it, you could drop down to 30cms in theory and most plants would be just fine, ive heard of pple going as low as 8 inches or around 20 cms but Im assuming thats with a 100W light, So if 40cms is working and plants look happy, then run with it. If you want to try going lower, drop it by 5cms each time and give it 3-4 days to watch and see how plants respond before deciding if you want to go back up, leave it or go lower again.

After checking other diaries, realized that *maybe* the plants are a bit small in comparison to what we've seen, so we're worried about the buds-to-be. However, the plants have been growing fast and looking good - are they tho? 😨 *amnesia: 10.5cm *ak: 20cm *lemon cheese: 9cm

Hey Growmie, From someone who grows autos all the time, yes these are quite small for 42 days old, it seems you've had a few issues. The thing about autos is you can't stress them out because they don't have time to recover, so the plant ends up stunted as yours are now. That doesn't mean they won't yield anything just means they won't yield much is all.
