Almost all of my seeds popped. Unfortunately one of my wedding cakes didn't make it :( Bruce banner took a lot longer than usual, I went straight into the 3-gallon pot with those guys. Most of the ladies poked through. A success of 90%. The beginning of this journal started too late so there will be pictures and details missing but I will catch up for the rest of the growth.

What causes mutation? Is it the strains? Will silica do this to the plants? I'm interested to know exactly why this happens or if anything triggers it.

Hello. When you get right down to it, Cosmic Rays cause mutations. A Cosmic Ray can damage a part of the DNA which the cell repairs, but doesn't always get it right. That is where the mutation comes out. Mostly the strain passes the mutation on to the next generation. The mutations can be either good and helpful or bad and destructive for the plant. Chuck.

@Kynareth Thank you!. Trying to get my scheduling down on this so I can not only show others what I'm doing but to prove to myself I can be consistent with tracking it! To be clear this is my second grow. The first time was half-ass organic but this time it's 100% organic. I'm depending on the soil. But to make the soil I used very well prebought fox farm coco soil. Then amended it with topsoil, compost, earth dust base, and boost. Threw it in a 25 gal and threw red wigglers in there. As for the 3 gallon pots Its the same soil however no worms. Going to throw cover crops, Mulch, and just feed them with teas throughout. I wanted to try something new. Something different. And what better way than to do it the way mother nature intended. So far I am inspired by it and it has given me a new understanding of biology. Nice grows btw!
