After my december bug attack because I ended up with a shitload of quality weed, I needed to take a bit of a break. Began afresh with the grow, my 2nd Lemon Pie Auto, the first one surprised me with 13 zips of very fine quality dense bud. That one was my first bend-over plant instead of topping. I'm more ambivalent these days about trying to maximise yield, I'm over that now. I bent this plant over the same way as the first one and it looks like I'll be lucky to get 6 zips of this. Although the quality of the bud is very high absolutely covered in trichomes. I don't control my humidity or temperature so they are in a very high stress environment at the moment, with high VPD, but you know what it doesn't matter, the older leaves are showing stress in the form of drying out and going crispy, but the buds are looking superb.
The only thing I did different this time is that instead of doing a couple of heavy trimmings where I cut out a lot of the undergrowth as I did on my first Lemon Pie, this one I removed branches when they were not even branches yet, often I pinched out shoots and cut small branches if I thought they'd make life difficult for me. However I am happy with this plant, much less work, I dint have to do any pruning at all, none. It is also about a week or maybe two in front of my previous one which went for nearly 14 week, this one might get chopped in a week or two max. There is no larf there is no popcorn, ever bud is tight.
I took a very tiny bud from the bottom last night and dried it for a couple of hours on the back of my grow light, the QB96's are good for this, 80C and I rest it on the spikes at the back. The stuff it into the Vapexhale EVO, OK I haven't had much to smoke the last couple of days granted, but I was almost tripping. It looks like only about 4 zips but these are very dense buds so I'm hoping for a surprise, but it won't be 13 that's for sure.
