Trying Aquaponic Cloning -- I was sitting here looking at the fish tank that needs cleaned tomorrow. I'll strain the fish poo keep it for nutrients & use the water for a tea. Got me thinking heyyyy it would seem that it has the perfect conditions for hydroponic cloning 🤔 Grow light, the water has nutrients, beneficial bacteria, oxygen, CO² (from fish breathing) & temperature is maintained at 75⁰. Seems like it would work - my two thoughts of why it might not work is possible ammonia in the water &/or the light being too close bleaching the leaves. Hmm test run. If they root... before they get taller I will take them to the hydroponic cloner so they won't get light burn.

Fish seem to like playing with the plants - dragging them around the tank 🤣

The plant still seem to not be getting sufficient light from the aquarium light so I'm going to move them just to keep testing and playing with them.

They weren't receiving enough light from the aquarium light -- it's not meant for plants just for lighting for the fish. I transferred them into my smaller bubble cloner and then back and forth between the grow tent & window for lighting. (These were male cones that I took just to test out my bubble cloners and different methods - I never planned on doing a full run just wanted to just do test runs then discard)

Genial, algún día probaré a hacer algo así, lo más espectacular no es lo repetido, sino, lo diferente

@HappyWeeds, I know - I wish I knew others that did it to learn even more... I love it though, it helps both the fish & the plants. It makes my job easier & saves money.

@cheetah844,True a room is alot
cheetah844
cheetah844commented3 years ago
@JaramnieJazz, I've thought the same thing... I've researched around a little before & some people doing these water flower beds using a pump/aquarium/water table setup that cycled continually. That'd be cool but it'd take a whole room to set one up

So cool , swimming with the fishes doesn’t look too bad at all lols
cheetah844
cheetah844commented3 years ago
@Rangaku, Thanks👍🐠🌱💚 The aquarium water is great for plants. I notice if I use it I don't have any nitrogen deficiencies - I've also noticed if I don't use it I will quickly get nitrogen deficiencies. I'm assuming there's beneficial bacteria in there as well
