Finally a strong looking sprout 🌱 woot! Planted this North Atlantic Seed Co. freebie after 2 premium seed failures. I was anxious, maybe something is wrong with my bucket. But she popped her leaves up out of the soil on day 4, looking awesome 👏 good job baby girl!

She’s doing great, growing like a weed! Warmer temps in the basement are helping. It has been as high as mid 80s in the daytime.
I’ve been watering every other day. Experimenting with diy gnat traps. Top dressed with one scoop Dr Earth Homegrown. So far so good. Almost ready for a new week.

We have had some warmer days and nights this week. It even got so warm that I had to turn the heat lamp in another direction so she didn’t get too hot. Colder temps this weekend and into next week but I’m hoping it won’t slow her down too much.
I reworked the grow space, removed most of the old Mylar and replaced it with the insulation from the old water heater. Made space for garden plants. Peppers and tomatoes start this week!
Her bucket is H E A V Y going into this week, I top dressed and watered in lots of organic nutes last week so easy on the watering until the bucket feels lighter.
Treated the whole garden with mosquito bits tea for a second time to try and get a handle on the fungus gnats in my buckets. I treated last week but only the buckets with plants in them. I neglected to treat the buckets outside the grow enclosure that held dirt but not plants… well not this time, I think I got them all.
Been thinking about topping this lady so I went for it at week’s end. A cliffhanger to end the week….
She’s growing like mad! 🎩Getting topped at the end of last week barely slowed her down.
I’ve had a raging fungus gnat infestation going on. Trying a combo of stickies and mosquito bits tea for all waterings until they are gone.
Looking forward to 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
But we are still in 🥗🍅

She’s putting out some denser foliage that looks like flowers may appear soon. Top dressed with 3 scoops dr. Earth all purpose.
Watered with tea: 2 scoops all purpose + molasses, aerated overnight.
Moved her under the flowering light.
Ready!
“Look Fred, she’s gotten her boobies” <—who can name the classic GenX movie this quote came from?
One of the women in my grow groups called the early flower-bud a “pistil bomb” and I love that so much. I’m going with it. Late in the week I’m seeing pistil bombs!
Blueberry is actually looking blue. I’m noticing a distinct bluish tint to the foliage.
Maybe just a wee bit overfed as I’m seeing curled leaf tips.
Time to switch to flower nutes anyway, top dressed with 3 scoops flower girl.
A lot of changes this week
Top dressed with 3 scoops flower girl
Then flower girl tea a couple of days later
She’s looking overwatered
Oops! Gonna give her a break for a while now
Hope she recovers okay

She was fine the next day.
Looks like she might grow tall!
It’s a brand new week growmies!
Welcome to it.
I think I nute burned this girl a little but now she’s recovering really well and stretching upwards.
I’m gonna let her grow a bit more then do a light defoliation of the larfy buds and older leaves.
Top dressed with 3 scoops flower girl on Saturday
Top dressed with flower girl. Took her out of the grow for a haircut and some TLC. And what did I find but several sacks! She hermed. So I’m gonna have some seeds in this weed. That’s okay I guess. A little late to do so, but I went ahead and lollipopped her stems and checked carefully for any more balls. Super glad I don’t have any other plants in flower right now, so it’s not a tragedy. Just a bit annoying.
HERMINATION! Might get a few beans in this grow.
Luckily I found most of the ⚽️ before they 💨
But there was one that did 🙁
Will keep an 👀 out for further hermage.
It probably happened because I let her get too dry.
Top dressed with 3 scoops flower girl
Bottom watered
Found some boy flowers last week, gonna continue keeping eyes 👀 on her but so far she looks happier and is bouncing back just fine after ball removal and defoliation.
She’s taking water well. I’m not going to let her dry out again
Planning another application of flower 🌸 girl tea this week
7 th week of flower! I can’t believe it, time is really flying.
I’m getting the usual deficiencies, looks like she’s hungry for potassium. I tried giving a tbsp of wood ash.
Getting closer to harvest! I think she liked the wood ash. I’ll keep that in the toolbox!
I’m slowing down the nutes as harvest is soon. Another bit of wood ash and some flower girl, lightly watered in.
This will probably be lady blueberry’s last week before harvest. She’s looking good and smelling good. She actually does smell like blueberries! This has been a fun grow.
117 days seed to harvest. This was a free seed from North Atlantic Seed Co. that I popped after 2 beans that I paid for failed.
2 problems with this grow. (1) Hermy balls mid way through. (2) I harvested a little bit earlier than I planned when I found aphids on one of the buds. Both times I discovered the problem just before it exploded into a huge problem.
Still, Blueberry was fun to grow and turned out beautiful. I can’t wait to try some.
