And here we go again!
Buoyed by the recent transition of the C&C and Blueberry to a new ecosystem (check the other diary - I'm starting week 4 with those 4 girls) I popped 3 Blue Dream seeds from Garden of Green. All went well; seeds ready for first pots after quite a long 50 hours.
Into Biobizz Allmix, sprinkled with Plant Success Great White and covered with poly-bags, these broke through well and the last pictures show the girls 5 days from seed.
Looking forward to this run - going to be using my old faithfull set up, whilst at the same time dialling in the new BudBox/FC-E3000 set-up.
Loads more to come but thanks for getting this far, this early. I hope you stick around!
Mid point of week 5 from seed and... well... apologies for lack of updates!
It's been a bit crazy around these parts, just busy, and the COVID, and then had to go away for just over a week so I kept these in 2L pots for a week longer than anticipated as a result, while leaving them in the care of someone else. In effect I deliberately kept them on the 'slow and low' for a while longer than I would have. So, into finals at end of week 4 and here we are, mid to late part of week 5. They'll take off now, without a doubt.
Not much to report, they're doing OK with no issues. This weekend (2-4/04/22) I will flip them but first, an overdue topping and a bit of LST and some mild defoliation too.
A few pics uploaded, for now. More regular updates to come, and if you haven't, do please check out my other current grow, a Cream & Cheese run with a Blueberry for good measure!
Thanks for reading. :)
End of week 1 of flower, end of week 6 from seed.
The girls are zipping along - no issues at all, been very easy so far. I left topping very late and very little LST to this strain (it's my first time growing her - I try to have one (or more) running as nature intended, just for my own information) but I will defoliate at flowering wk 3. There has been minor fan leaf removal here and there, strategically, in order to get that little TS1000 a bit more depth.
Running these alongside my main tent (see my Cream & Cheese diary - ongoing and close to harvest) has been fuss-free too.
I will be adding BioBizz Alg-A-Mic later this week. Would have done so earlier but didn't really look into the benefits of it until recently. I will be using that, with FishMix, as a foliar spray in veg on the next runs.
Thanks for stopping by.
Missed last week's update by two days so, hetre we are - almost middle of week 3 of flower and the stretch seems to have finished.
A little defoliation tonight including some potential popcorn buds. I stripped the 1st and 2nd leaves and buds from all of the stems and have gained some decent space and airflow now.
This week I added a hit of CalMag and Alg-A-Mic to the usual mix of Grow, Bloom and TopMax, and I also, as usual, added a little Great White.
In terms of feeds, 1L per day but in 2 day intervals, aiming for a decent wet/dry routine, so, 2L per plant, every two days.
I have also started worm casting tea, once a week, and add the usual feed to the 12L bucket I use and pump air via an air stone through the mix for a good few hours prior to watering,
No noticeable deficiencies - all seems good so far, but hey, plenty of time for them to throw a f'ing curve ball at me yet, right?
I also have two other diaries 'in progress' so, I'd love if you checked out my Seedsman Lemon Auto grow, an outdoor grow I just started, and my other grow, Seedsman Cream & Cheese which is a couple of weeks from the chop!
Thanks for reading. :)
Toward end of week 9 now, flowering for a little over 4 weeks and they have been fantastic. One thing I will say is that I was surprised how bushy they became; they filled out so much during stretch that I was completely caught off guard but that said, I waited it out and have just completed some defoliation that has helped quite a lot. I removed some of the lower stems that were under the canopy and really doing littel compared to the rest which no doubt would have led to pretty predictable outcomes vis-a-vis harvesting, with likely the top of the plant being way ahead of the lower section and frankly I don't have the luxury of being able to promote that style of staggered harvest.
Woody! Not Toy Story, I mean the fragrance gained from rubbing the stems! This is something of an earthy smelling strain thus far but that said the buds are starting to become much more fragrant and there are some lovely top notes to come from them, no doubt. A lot more floral and sweet.
Nutes are as always, straight outta BioBizz land, ratios are in the nute schedule above. Nothing shocking there. I have given CalMag this week, twice, since I got a bit spooked by my Cream and Cheese grow in my other tent where one of the 3 girls got massively calcium sensitive but curiously the other two did not, nor have done. They're about 8 days from harvest so do please check that out, and my other grow, some Lemon autoflowers from Seedsman that are about to go into finals and into the garden this Bank Holiday weekend.
Thanks for reading and looking at the pics of progress for this strain.
@@David369,
Thank you so much!
They're a very undemanding strain so far. First time growing these so I am playing it safe and letting them run almost as nature intended aside of some late stage topping, some tucking and a bit of defoliation, just to see how they grow without messing with them too much. If they run well I may well run them again in my larger tent and go a bit more drastic with the HST/LST. Good luck with your grow too!
