RDWC Purple Punch Auto

Day 1. Germinating as did with photos. Rock wool soaked in RO water. I slightly opened up holes in cubes and placed seeds just under surface. Used tooth pick to easily cover seeds with the rock wool edges of the hole made. Germinating dome kit was set up before hand. Placed heating mat on table in center of the tent. Plugged mat into temperature controller. I put the temperature prob into the dome with my humidity prob and a second temperature prob. Then i placed the four prepared rock wool codes in center of kit. Poked temperature control probe in the side of rock wool cube away from seeds. Closed the dome and the tent. Day 2. No signs of life. Lightly sprayed with RO water. Closed lid on germ kit. RO water ph to 5.8 RH 80% Day 3. Frist signs of life. All four seeds popped. Spayed with ph 5.8 RO water. Closed dome on the germ kit. Checked 8 hours later. All seeds grew and cotyledons are out. Turned light to seedling stage. End germinating stage I'm going to add seedling stage to this week. They will stay in germ dome, untill roots appear coming out of rock wool or third set true leaves show. Will keep the heating mat on doing night cycle. Temperatures in room around tent are colder right now. Rh in the dome is at 78% and temperature is at 78-80° in light cycle and 72-74° during night cycle. I'm going to add seedling stage to this week. They will stay in germ dome, untill roots appear coming out of rock wool or third set true leaves show. Will keep the heating mat on doing night cycle. Using Lotus nutrient guide for week one seedling but at 1/4 strength. Week one Lotus grow powder 600ppm at 5 grams to 150ppm at 1.25 grams. After mixing in Ro water ppm was 230: number being off from desired maybe from Ro water being 25-30 ppm range, scale to measure nutes might be off a hair. Removed a few cups of nute water from jug an added plain Ro back in. Dropped ppm to 180-190 range, called it good. Ph at 6.6, dropped to 5.8 with drops of ph down. Will check them out to see if the are ready for the nute water or to continue with just Ro water. Day 1- Seedling I'm using the Kind XL1000. The recommended height for seedling stage is 48" and lower 6" until sweet spot is found. Last photo grow this beginning height was way to far away and seedlings stretched. Started this one at 36" away and watching seedlings for signs of distress. Rock wool cubes and germ kit looked slightly dry. Slightly wetted rock wool cubes with seedling nute water. Sprayed dome with Ro water and closed it. Day 2 Lowered light 8", seedling stretching more than I'd like. Sprayed dome with ro water to keep RH around 80%. Signs of roots coming threw rock wool cubes. Frist set of true leaves showing. Cudes were getting dry so I lightly watered cudes with seedling nute water. Will check tomorrow to see if ready to be put into RDWC system. Day 3 Frist set of ture leaves are growing good. Stretching seems to slow keeping light at 28". Rh lowerd to 70s by opening vent in germ dome. Today I will set up the RDWC and prepare water. Day 4. Steams on seedings are looking strong. Leaves show good color and growing. More roots are starting to show from bottom of rock wool cube. RDWC was set up the night before an tested for leaks, water flow and amout of water used. Total amout used at this point is 35 gallons. Roughly 5 1/2 gallons per pot and 18 in reservoir. I used the same 1/4 strength Lotus seedling guide. I also added .25 grams per gallon of Lotus cal/mag and .6 ml per gallon of Bushdoctor Kangaroots root drench. Ph the water to 5.8 and cycled the system. The system is set to cycle water every 4 hours. Set up and calibrated Bluelabs ph controller to 5.8 ph an placed in reservoir. I placed the rock wool cubes just above the water bubble line, at fully filled with water, on top of clay pebbles and filled around them with extra pebbles. Being at this size i will continue to water slightly as need with seedling water untill roots are showing threw bottom of clay pebbles. The Rh is 70-75% and temperature are 74-76 Day an night is 70-72. Light is set to 28 inches above pots now.
