Germinated via paper towel method. Seeds were transferred to jiffy pellets after taproot reached a few centimeters in length. Pellets hydrated with distilled water. Light at 24" and dimmed to 20%. Humidity dome was removed for photos.

Seedlings are... not doing great. I took my sweet ass time getting the peat pellets into their final home -- 7 gallon fabric pots. This was a mistake, but I wasn't quite ready to start regular feeding and hadn't figured out my EC pen. Other than that, pretty much following cocoforcannabis guide. Using large pot size to compensate for lack of an auto-feed system. Ideally, these would be smaller pots watered multiple times throughout the day, but I compensate with one big fat feed per day to runoff. I considered pitching these two and this point, but I'm glad I didn't. I finally figured out my EC pen and found my runoff pretty high (>4 EC). Flushed with pH'd tap water down to 5.8-6.2 pH and below 2.2 EC. Hoping they survive at this point.

They survived, but not without issues. One of the seedlings topped itself and had some strange leaf mutations -- probably a result of me stressing them in week one. Decent growth by the end of week two. Glad I didn't pitch these and start over. I bumped my nutrient mix down to 1/3 strength as I got the hang of my EC pen and runoff was still measuring high (~2.7 EC). Bumped back up to half strength by the end of the week.

Back up to 2/3 strength nutrients. Starting to have concerns about high humidity, so I played with my AC Infinity fan settings to decrease max temp which, in turn, decreased my RH. I had a planned power outage one day this week that gave my plants an extra ~4 hours of darkness and no exhaust or circulating fans for the morning. When the lights finally came on, RH was reading about 98% and liquid had pooled on the tips of the fan leaves -- I believe this is called guttation. It resulted in some pretty cool pictures.

Nothing new to report this week. Plants continue to be fed at 2/3 strength, half gallon each.

First week on flower nutrients. This is when I started pretty heavy defoliation that continued through the stretch. Starting to see signs of flowering. This week was probably when I had to move my light up as high as I could in the tent.

The stretch is real. I laid down a trellis, but I would hardly call what I did "ScrOG". The net was mostly used to assist LST. Colas were spread as well as I could and some of the taller ones were bent pretty severely. Starting to panic about height at this point and I'm contemplating pulling the filter and exhaust outside the tent to give me another 8" or so. Facing the possibility of a four to six week flowering and the holidays quickly approaching, I change light cycle to 12/12 in a desperate attempt to speed up the finish. I don't know if this did anything but hurt my yield. Defoliation and leaf tucking continues on a near daily basis.

Second week of stretch. Pistils are really starting to show up and smells become first noticeable. Most of the lower growth has been removed, though I do have a few favorite flowers that sit below the canopy that I just couldn't bare to remove. No regrets.

Full blown flowering at this point. The stretch has slowed, but I did have to supercrop the tallest cola on one plant. Really pretty flowers with great aroma.

I was out of town most of this week. Instead of daily feeding, plants were fed the same regimen, but every other day by a caretaker. Pics are from when I got back in town. Excited to find everything alive and thriving. Starting to see lots of trichome development.

I would say this week is where things started to get a little hairy. One of the plants has started to develop rust discoloration and a not-so-natural looking fade. Maybe stressed after my vacation last week, but I decide to push through to the end without changing anything. The upper colas now, in addition to bleached tips, are starting to show heat stress on the leaves. I take no action and decide to wait and see. Also keeping a close eye out for any signs of pest or 'nanners. Two more weeks...

Week 7 of flower and I've got a jungle on my hands. The plants are in control at this point and I'm just carefully continuing my routine. Splotchy fade continues to develop on one plant. Nugs are really starting to stack.

Final week feeding with a "pre-harvest" solution. Natural fade started to show on the other plant.

This was a really fun first grow. I'm incredibly lucky that I didn't have any pest issues or any major problems with my feed schedule. Plants were hung for 10-14 days (staggered trimming because I'm slow) at 60/60 temp and RH. Flower was then cured in 1oz Grove bags for 30 days. A local flower competition was announced shortly before my harvest that included a full THC & Cannabinoid panel.
the end.
