I have to say it’s been a dam good week! vigorous growth, got very bushy so i decided to defoliate the lower growth. The reasoning behind it is so that all the plant has all its energy going to the tops or main bud sites. It seems like it’s consuming more water everyday and i may need a second gallon to water this week. Up to this point i have only needed a gallon or less to make through the week. All in all i like what i’m seeing and gonna try to keep up with her. Till next week later gromies stay up!

Wait, there isnt enough plant there to train yet!! You can even wait til week 4 and train then if the plant is on the short and bushy side, until you have some branches to train dont risk snapping off lil stubs trying to train too early ok.

If it was a auto I would have it bent over already. A photoperiod I would top, and lst 4 branches outwards. 2nd and 3rd nodes I would use. Your growing in coco so don't treat coco like soil. Coco needs heavy irrigation. It should never get dry. Ph is extremely important in coco. Vegging 5.8 in 5.8 out in run off. Flowering 6.2 in and out. Cal mag is always needed in coco. Coco is my best form of growing. Lots of flushing to maintain ph. You can't overwater in coco as long as it dies not sit in standing water.

I would let the plant have 4 main branches so it can spread evenly out the space. then when the branches fulling the net ( % depending on how much stretch a strain has) switch to 12/12. SCROG IT :D

Hey Ckush! Your plant looks good 👍 So i hear you wanna keep an even canopy? Actually i did that a lot a few years ago - tying down my plants to one side.. but in the time that passed i have started to loose my fear to apply more drastic measures.. I would say the best would be to top the plant after the 3rd or 4th node and then tie down the 4,6 or 8 branches like you did it with your plant. After that you can let her grow and she should stay pretty even. That is if you dont wanna apply a ScrOG net, that could provide you with a even more even 😂 canopy.. Check out my diaries, i like to keep my canopies even too..maybe a few pictures will inspire you to do something new.. Good luck 🍀 mate! ✌️

was this amount of defoliation too much or would you think it’s necessary?
