Dear Diarie , Now what !? Our beloved Queen has send 3 princesses for me to take care, what did I do? 3 spoiled girls and their demands! You better don't f**k it up boy. She has send more of them out and they all will have a story to tell. How the good servants of the kingdom take care of shit. Anyway , gave my self up for this contest and they are in good hands.(these ones like princesses😘). The stuff RQS send for the first days of care are working very well. These Soil Plugs germinate rapido, It's not 48 hours yet! And already little white taps are showing. I've put them in a propagator 23c RH 80%. Today mixed coco and some Perlite and pre loaded it with CalMag. I bought a GHe Aquafarm and clay pebbles To do perhaps a simultaneous grow 2 princesses in the RQS fabric pots and the others in full hydro. I'll see for now let them for a while so I can finish or care for the other girls I'm growing. A RQS Fat Banana auto and a Amnesia are @d22 now. Only 1 day later ,these soil plugs they have send are a absolute wannahave! I've been sprouting seeds for a while now but never saw such a fast seedlings as these 3. I soaked the plugs in some boiled rainwater and of They went. If this is a glance at things to come I'm a happy grower. Experience learnt me that fast seedlings become the best plants I'm sold on these things!👌 It's now d4 and 2 of 'm are already in their new fabric sleeping bags, the other one in a 21 liter Air-pot . 3 x Green Gelato Automatic and 9 weeks of 19/5 and @d35 they will be joined by 2 OG Punch feminised , the other strain of choice, for their veg period on the side. Have to say I'm excited about this grow. 1 ,the contest 2 my first grow inside in the new grow room that I've build. Had some problems my first run because it was pretty much a building site,so! Hardly can't wait for a fresh jar of nice nugs, good luck to all contenders . that

I have a Aquafarm ( GHE ,clay pebbles hydroponics.) should I run the pump constantly or do it with regular intervals say, 5 min on 15 min off. Do I run it at night? Any body any suggestions? I do have a cycle timer ( mojo).

I prefer to run my pumps 24 hours a day as long as you have good drainage. You shouldn't have an issue with clay pebbles. By constantly recirculating your nutrients it keeps your solution fresh and oxygenated. It's the same concept as an aquarium setup.

I'm not a hydro guy, but if your water is aerated it could run 24/7 like other setups. but every 10 min for 2min should be good as long as its wetting everything. the clay balls don't hold a lot of moisture. Guessing when they get bigger they will want more. Hopefully a hydro head chimes in and can give more solid advice. Good Luck!

I would put it on a timer. Just need to get wet once in awhile. Roots need air as much as cool water.

5 times a day at 15 minute drip times is what I use to do with good results. Depends on how much water comes out of your drippers. There are ways to figure it out. Sure if you look online you will find the calculation

Al plants are in their final grow medium , coco and clay pebbles in the Aquafarm. Don't know how that Is working but we are gonna find out along the way. The only thing I'm struggling with is the constant raise of the Ph. It's something I've to watch and find some info about because at this rate my bottle of ph - is gone in 3 weeks and that can't be the case , so !,?.😕

My ph goes from 5.5 to 6.5 in 12 hours. I use a drip system on clay pebbles. ( GHe Aquafarm). If I have to adjust it every day my 1 liter of ph -/- is gone in weeks ,that can't be right, right.? What am I missing, the bottle says "for ph stability!", I mean wtf? Diarie Help !?.😩

prepare your water 24 hours in advance to let the natural ph up drift to settle. ph it to 5.6 or 5.7. pour plenty of that water through your pebbles to buffer the pebbles to that ph. It is best to let pebbles sit in ph water for 12 hours to buffer properly. Always let your water sit for 24 hours before mixing your nutrients and bring the solution to your desired ph. Should be much more stable after.

The plants are starting to take on now there in their final grow medium for some time. Changed the water of the Aquafarm with a solution of PH. 5.5 @EC. 1.1 . The PH. of the Aquafarm is very unstable, I leave it for a while. It takes some time to develop roots to take care of some stability. No more PH + and Ph - corrections that drive me crazy. For now they look great and I see no Ph related issues appear so I hope it will be fine. Some experience on the hydro thing is much needed ,for now it's just a lot of extra work. It has been a nice week and winter seems to be gone so all potted plants will have their hours in the sun outside, still no grow light can beat her nice and warm goodness ,it does me good as well😎! It would be nice when this shit finally gets legal so you can enjoy your hobby without try to hide everything, man what a nice garden would I create ! But for now this is it and we have to deal with it. Did some LST on one of the plants the others need some extra growth . Changed the nutrient solution in the Aquafarm to EC 1.6 and the plants seem to like it. It takes some time I guess to develop a rootsystem to get the plants going because for now the ones in coco grow faster then the Aquafarm grow,we'll see how that goes. The downside of a Aqua or Waterfarm is that you can not run around to put them in the sunshine outside . To bad another RQS grow of a Fat B is not in contest but that one is really going I hope these ones will go as this one👌. The next 2 weeks we'll see some good growth before they go into flower, can't wait my jar is getting scary empty, go babies GO!!

My autos have all gone into flower either in Week 4 or Week 5... Trying to look at your plant, I don't see any indication of pre-flower yet but maybe that's just the photo. I wouldn't worry at all right now - she looks nice and strong and autos do their thing when THEY decide and not a moment earlier! Good luck with the grow!

Start of week 4 Day 25 and they are well on their ways. One of the coco plants had some start up problems and some nutrient burn but recovered from it but is a week behind in growth on the other ones, to bad I believe this will hurt me in yield but since this is my first full coco and hydro grow some mistakes were to be expected. The hydro one had to develop some more roots before catching on but is now catching up fast. Great to sea how fast this goes , I hope they will be the same size as one of their big sisters that is 20 days ahead because that Fat Banana is growing like crazy, never seen a plant growing at that speed, amazing. Nothing much going on ,waiting for them to go in flower in about 1 or 2 weeks and do some LST this week. Can't do much more , I'm gone for 5 days for my work and have a automated watering system that feeds them at 900 with 0.5 liter of nutrient water every day so they will be fine.

Light intensity is the same, but I found that half strength nutrients was plenty strong enough for autos. Never grow 24/0, all plants, cannabis included, NEED sleep to finish their photosynthesis cycle and for a correctly functioning metabolism. A plant with an incorrectly functioning metaboilsm will never produce healthy cannabinoids. 24/0 could only be recommended by people who do not understand photosynthesis or how plants function. 18/6 is optimum for autos, from day one until harvest.

Still in Veg dag 30. One of the plants shows bad nutrient burn. This little princess is not the most healthy one. Same everything as her 2 sisters, but not catching on from the start. This contest comes a bit early ,got little time at hand and away from home for days. The Gelato princess in the Aquafarm looks most healthy of them all. This is because of the automated watering etc. Have to find or build a dripsystem, growing on coco is "the" way to go but you got to have time for it. Noticed that it takes a while for a rootsystem to develop in the Aquafarm, but then it picks up fast. Maybe for autoflowers not the best way of growing . The 10 days extra for roots is time you won't get back, so is behind in size one the other 2. Bought a osmose filter to be more on point with the nutrients. Tap water is 0.480 EC with a lot of chlorine etc. that is taking place for good nutes. The first sign of flower is showing so a flush and change of nutrients for pre flower is on for the next few days. Wheater forecast gives a lot of sun so my babies can have some of that while I have to do some DIY on the Growroom .

No drip systems with coco are the way to go.. are you asking if it’s overkill? Or too much money ? They’re cheap and easy enough to create one yourself just takes time and patience to set up the proper drip rate and whatnot

After close to 40 years of growing and taking extensive notes, including seed size, I can categorically say that seed size has no bearing on plant size. I have grown huge Sativas from tiny seeds and really small plants from huge indica seeds, but not every time.

The first signs of flower are there ! Now the interesting part begins. Last week changed the Nutes in the Aquafarm for pre flower formula. ! of the plants in coco is doing well , had a flush and is now on pre flower to. The other plant had some nutrient burn and is behind. I flushed her with a mild solution and a proper defoliation to see what happens! A big yielder she will never be so some experiments to see how and what. this is my first full hydro grow so I'm learning along the way. Still got 2 green Gelato and 5 Legendary OG Punch seeds to sharpen my skills and have a good smoke in the end is all I need .Screw up-s with 10 or 15euro seeds do hurt and hold you back from experiments. This and next week will be about some training and installing the osmose filter unit that I got. Maybe edit in some pictures or zoiets !😬

Go light and use the liquid version. This stuff will burn a hole through diamond, so dilute it well before adding to reservoir or it will precipitate you nutes. Use half strength. This will spike a 5 gallon bucket near 8 or higher at 2 ml/gal.

What a week! While working on my Growroom ,lostbalance and took a dive into my babies😱. Result 2 of the princesses did not make it. One snapped into and had to be dispatched, the other one I don't know if she makes it. Any way I'm left with the plant in the Aquafarm, a near miss while falling is unharmed . This one is at the end of pre flower and I'm stunned by the vig of this plant. Maybe because I'm not used to hydro size plants, it's 83cm high and about 80 cm round. Wauw !! I hope this is normal size for auto's in full hydro, because I'm already sold to buy more Aquafarms from GHe , it's no lie, these thing are great! All attention goes out to this one the other goes outside ,see what happens! This morning put out some seeds ,some photos from other breeders and the Legendary OGpunch from RQS that will go in coco and will be raised under light and then will go outside. Thinking of buying or building a greenhouse, summers are way to wet for good results and I need a other project 😋 I don't know if I'm lucky because this plant isin day 60 where the other ones are 3 weeks in full flower, or this is normal for plants in hydro but I like it. Always wanted autoflowers with at least 6 or 7 weeks of veg. maybe this is the way to go.

hey there Sanderanders, interesting question, i'm guessing you were expecting quicker growth in hydro, and it does work that way. However hydro is more than just a medium : it's also a set of techniques, and you simply need to do these techniques to get quicker growth. For quick or even just normal growth rates in hydro you need to do a fair bit of root pruning, which when you cut the roots. Without this the plant simply grows slower. Just my personal experience with hydro, without root pruning the growth rate is average or below, with root pruning it's faster. So that's why coco seems quicker, but if you cut the roots properly then you'll see the very quick hydro growth. Hope this helps ! 🚀

This grow was all about learning the process of hydroponics. Needles to say It is not as easy as it looks and takes a lot of time to set up and so... But along the way with help from several growmies it came to a unexpected result. 227 gram dry weight of good quality cannabis. This result ,I'm very happy ,has so much room for improvement that I can't wait for the next grow. I like to thank Royal Queen Seeds for sending me these awesome genetics, I suspect this is a big part of the result, the freebies and a lot of weed. Ofcourse I couldn't wait for the cure and started smoking. Man this stuff is sticky!! The smell is already hard to resist. The taste could be better,no cure yet, Very fresh but you smell and taste the potential. Being a long time haze smoker the effect is not exactly my thing but at night after dinner with a cup of coffee that's more what this is. Being a older person the hardest part of this contest is this damn diarie. Still find it difficult to find my ways. How many times I have to do this over 😤 I will grow this stuff again , never was a big fan of autoflowers but this outcome made me a believer. The starting plugs that came with these seeds are from now on a absolute must have! You see the difference . I cleaned the Aquafarm and it's ready for the other strain "Legendary OG Punch", that's now inside the growplug. Unfortunately to late for a full grow to be in competition but will make a diarie never the less.
