I was about to start again after complaining to the supplier about these seeds when suddenly a few of them popped up (Germination has taken 14 days) to their credit the supplier replaced the pack no problems, so here we go again hoping for better Germination this time!!!!!!
4 weeks since sowing these seeds, reasonably happy with the phase 1 plants growth so far, there is one mutant which has topped itself and 2 which are a little bit smaller than the rest, but no problems with that they have a lot of growing to do yet
Today is p day for the first 6 plants in the phase 1 grow, plants are about 25 cm tall and the weather seems to be good for the next couple of weeks so it's time to start planting, tomorrow will probably be planting for the next 6 plants, update 8 plants in the ground as of 6.45 am this morning
Phase 2 plants are finally ready to be planted in the garden, I'll do this in the coming week, update on phase 1 plants have been in the ground for 2 weeks and they are already over the shock of going outside and growing happily, happy days
So far so good for these little beasties, they are growing quite well now, faster than i expected them to be growing so its all good, the last 6 plants will be planted this evening so that will be the outdoor grow all done apart from. The looking after
Ok so this is patch 2 it was planted maybe 2 weeks later than the first batch, they seem to be rooted and growing happy days, I probably should have made separate diaries for them I can see it getting confusing with all the different patches in the same one
One of the first plots to be planted, this plant has shot up in a week, this leads me to believe that it will be a boy, oh well the joys of growing regular weed outdoors, the biggest most well developed plants at this time of year are always boys
I missed a week, this is my first opportunity to visit plot 2 for a while the plants have doubled in size and no pest damage, happy days, one of the plants in this plot topped itself
Plants are growing quickly now its taking up a lot of time to keep them in good order, time we'll spent I might add 😁, my physallis is making flowers and soon they will be ready to eat and my paulownia cutting is finally joining the party and actually growing, yippee, update to plot 2, as there's never any sense of scale in these pictures I decided to Include some, the bottle in the pic is 1.5 litres, they've shot up since I seen them last, happy days 😁
Some real Improvements in these plants this week, and the first flowers which are girl!!!!!!!! I wasn't expecting that, plants look happy, exciting times ahead
First signs of flowering starting to show, oddly all.girls, which I wasn't expecting from regular seeds, also considering that they are supposed to be fast flowering I definitely wasn't expecting girl flowers.this early, but I guess no worries it's all good
Plants are still growing very well, what ever the largest 2 plants are, they are now about 7 feet tall 😁, the other 2 plants, pic 1&2 I think maybe related
Mould is rife in 1 plot, even when the breeder says they've been bred to grow in a cool Welsh climate, ok so Wales is more like the Mediterranean this year, the v rest of the plots in this area are doing well
Looks like flowering has started ish on some of these plants, no sign of any boy flowers though, a tad concerng asi wanted some seeds from this grow, although there's still time, there are plants from 3 different plots I these pictures
Will its been a month for one reason or another, but I've finally got to see simnw plots, some bit flowers and some girl flowers, I'm still undecided whether it's worth trying these plants again as they just can't deal with the intense humidity here in West Wales, as it was mostly an experiment I'm not too disappointed with it so far
