Timeline:
2/28/2022 - first day of germination.
3/4/2022 - the white taproot finally sprouted and the seed was planted into its final 3 gallon pot.
3/6/2022 - the seed has sprouted. March 6th is officially this little lady's birthday.
So far so good. She received her first watering with Real Growers Recharge yesterday. I gave her approximately 6oz of Recharge solution (1/2 tsp per gallon). She's growing very fast. I have the SE5000 turned up to 80% and hanging 30 inches away and that has seemed to work great. No stretching but also no signs of light stress. Perfect!
I noticed yesterday that her stalk has been growing at a strange angle which has kept her short (see picture 4). Fortunately the stalk has started to grow straight up towards the light again so I'm sure she'll be fine.
So far she looks healthy and happy. I was told that the Roots Organic potting soil I'm using only has enough nutrients to last 2-3 weeks so I am going to start her on a light dose of veg nutes in a few days.
She received her first dost of veg nutes this week (1/4 strength) and I topped her as well. So far she is doing well. I’ve started to gently tuck some leaves to expose some of the bud sites to the light and once her branches get a bit longer I will begin tying them down in hopes of achieving a nice even canopy.
Thanks for checking out my diary!
She started flowering this week. She is staying rather short and squat but she’s looking healthy. I’ll be starting her on bloom nutes this week and I will continue manipulating her branches to expose her bud sites to the light.
She’s moving along at a very nice pace. I introduced bloom nutes to her this past week and she handled the transition with ease. I’ve continued feeding her veg nutes during her stretch but now that she’s truly beginning to enter the flowering stage I will be cutting out the veg nutes and replacing them with with P/K boost.
I really like the structure of this plant. She has stayed shorter and bushier than my others and she has a nice even canopy. Her pistil development is strong. I see more coming in every day. Her smell is really starting to shine as well. I have a feeling she’s going to be very pungent as she gets further into flower.
As always thanks for checking out my diary!
My apologies on being a day late making this post! I just had a very busy day!
She was clearly still not getting enough nitrogen on top of upping her bloom and boost nutes a bit earlier in the week I also added a 1/4 dose of veg nutes for some extra nitrogen. So far she is handling the increase in nutes just fine.
The OCD in me is annoyed that her leaves keep yellowing but I keep reminding myself that the buds are looking good and progressing at a nice pace. That’s what really matters, right!?
Thanks for checking out my diary!
This plant has stayed on the smaller side but oh man does she smell amazing!! Of all the plants I have growing right now this one has the most fantastic smell of them all. I’m really excited to eventually smoke this one! I’m guessing she needs about one more month until she is ready for harvest. Maybe three weeks.
This one is just absolutely fantastic smelling! She’s still showing a lot of white pistils so she definitely still has some time left. I’ve stopped giving her calmag and recharge. I hope she’ll be finished in about three weeks but it’s possible she’ll need another month.
Her buds continue to thicken up. She has what appears to be a bit of genetic foxtailing going on but it’s nothing I’m overly concerned about. I haven’t started looking at her trichomes yet but I’m guessing she still needs another two weeks at least. Maybe even three. I’ll start taking a closer look at her trichomes this week to be sure.
She’s getting close. I’m thinking one more week tops! She smells absolutely incredible and her trichomes are fully milky with a few ambers here and there. Some of her lower buds still look like they need some time so I think I’ll harvest her top, most mature flowers first and leave the lowers on for another 7-10 days to finish up.
I think she is finally ready to harvest! Her buds are big and dense and I was seeing 10%-15 amber as of a couple of days ago. Assuming everything goes to plan I am going to harvest either tomorrow morning or Tuesday mornings. I will report back in a few weeks.
This is a solid hybrid with excellent terps. I would say it leans a bit more towards a night time smoke than a day time smoke but it can work for both.
She was finished in 87 days from seed to harvest. She foxtailed quite a bit in late flower which impacted the density of her flowers but she more than made up for it with her terps.
