Bubba’s Gift

@FlavoursUk, My nighttime temps are in the low 70s, high 60s on a cooler night. I started noticing some color a few weeks ago, but at first I thought it was the lights. Its a great idea to let your first run of a strain grow out pretty naturally. In particular it gives you some keen insights on how this strain likes to grow. I made the mistake of not letting first auto grow out naturally. The buds were nice, the high was great, but I'm sure I could've doubled my harvest with just a few tweeks. I'll know better next time I run that strain. I made sure to put my concerns in my Grow Diary so I wouldn't forget.

@Quexos, Thanks. Yeah, some purple on the outside as well as the insides. I find dropping the night temperatures helps bring out purples in phenos that have that genetic trait. But yeah, definitely.. I always test run a strain before fully committing to growing her out with longer veg times etc. Look forward to it and I’ll keep an eye out 👍

@biggreens420, Thanks mate. Yeah, definitely.. first strain I've come across with next to no stretch. Didn't have the space to veg her longer as I had quiet a few strains running at once but I will definitely give her another run and do a couple plants with a 8-12 week veg if she's a good smoke. Hopefully not too far off now mate, so harvest soon! 👍

@Quexos, I've just updated this diary and her buds are fat and rock hard now. Looking like she will be finished in around 10-14 days. Maybe less. Glad to hear yours is going well though, keep it up. If you need any help with anything just drop me a message pal.

@FlavoursUk, She does seem to be developing her buds really fast. I'm growing a similar looking strain next to Bubba. She is a lot more developed than the other one. I like seeing the comparison between the development of two similar strains.

@Flavoursuk, nice to see you are well into bloom now. Nice flowers forming and a lot of budsites showing. One thing with Bubbas gift, the stretch is very minimal. Personally the most I've faced is 1.5x stretch. So if I flip at 50cm tall the end height at maximum would be 125cm after the stretch. @Flavoursuk, it's not that they are realy over finishing times. 8-9 weeks of flowering for the Jack Herer and today it's been 11 weeks since the switch. But the real flowering time doesn't start with the switch but when there are lots of pistels forming, usualy around 2-3 weeks after the switch. But you probably already know this stuff 😁 So they are in the 9the week of real flowering and harvest is coming up one of these days. I just didn't expect these Bubba's to grow this fast for indica's.

@@JackSpliff, Yeah, I feel your pain. Got a few others running along side the bubba’s gift and it’s a pain when previous strains you’re running go over finishing times, growing pains! Ordered a new tent so should be ok real soon and more space.

@Flavoursuk, same here. I'm waiting for my Jack Herer grow to be finished, wich takes longer than I thought. Gonna give them 15L then (growbags). This is a very bushy strain and tends not to stretch much after the switch, so I'm planning to veg them long enough.

@Humboldt_Seed_Organisation, Definitely has been a challenge without the AC unit! But a few changes and we're good! Picking up now. Glad I haven't switched yet, still yet to top and train her a bit. She is looking promising, just as a reference is she a light feeder or heavy? -I Always start off light regardless but in order to push her boundaries would be good to know. @Flavoursuk, not a problem my friend and great to see the prizes are being put to good use 😎 The heat has been tough world wide and you look to be handling things well and plants look unaffected👍 If this was the flower stage we could have problems but you are still in the vegative stage, and looking good.
