So it's the Sherbet Quine and (in an extra diary) the hopefully not so sensitive Mimosa doing a dance together. I am stoked!

Sherbet is one of my fave weeds to buy in a coffeeshop, I am stoked to finally have it in my grow room.
Mimosa has been calling me from the first day I was browsing strain descriptions. I was visioning myself drinking coffe in the morning, enjoying a mimosa spliff, before I go for a 10km run, then write some cool stuff and become famous & rich. Just because of Mimosa. :)
Let's just start easy.. I put the seeds in the plugs, ensured they stay moist & have a steady temperature of 25Β°C to sprout. I put mine in the oven with just the lights on, if I leave the door slightly open, I have a constant temperature of 25Β°C.
The plugs soaked 30-40ml of water each.. but I put some kitchen paper towel on the bottom of the jar, for an extra drainage.

DAY 1:
The baby queen was born, and a 15L fabric pot was filled with biobizz Lightmix + 50g RQS Easy Boost the day before (in anticipation).
Next day, I potted her in her huge queen-size bed and watered thoroughly (4L). See you in 2 weeks.. :D
Lights are 50cm distance, Switches off, dimmed down to 30%.
DAY 6:
I have to say the plugs really do a good job. Best thing for me is, the shell stays in the soil. I never had such a smooth germination. Really good!
Sherby's seed was open after 24h, the head was getting out after 48h, the root was growing out of the bottom of the plug after 72h!
Growing properly now, the tiny weed. <3 So cute.
Lights are at 60cm height now at 50%. I'd love to have warmer (temperated) lights for veg.. my lights are not warm at all, good for the driver, but I could do with 3 degrees more..

Watered 0.5L water just to add some Enhancer with Trichoderma, forgot to add to the soil. :) Pots still heavy.
DAY 12
Needed to water, so she got her first Booster Tab alongside Easy Plus Micronutrients, dissolved in lukewarm water + added compost tea.
The tabs dissolved well, now let's see what they can do! π¬
Compost tea is very well for organic grows imo. I added just a basic mixture of worm castings, kelp, and molasses. Diluted to 20:1 for the babies.
Will make a tutorial on my compost tea recipes later on! :)
I also added nematodes for fungus gnats, saw some of them bloody critters flying around. :argh:

DAY 16
Due to not so optimal humidity the Sherbet princess grows but doesn't look very royal. ;) I make sure that everything else is perfect.
I put a wet towel on the ground, without this the humidity is around 35%.
Growing roughly 1cm per day, so I guess the overall circumstances are ok.
Watering won't be necessary this week, I guess.
DAY 17
LST - Sherby got her first yoga lesson. OOMMM
DAY 20:
I topped her, I removed as little as possible and as soon as possible. Tenderly patted some curcuma on the cut.
One day before new moon, the juices are all up in the top plant tissue. Curcuma stopped the "bleeding". :)
Watered her as well with 4L of plain water.
She is growing fast now. It's a treat to watch.

There are brown edges on the older leaves.. looks like nute burn to me. I hope that the need of nitrogen will increase now.
They get a lot of light, so maybe I should water more frequently to cut back on the nutes in the soil a bit..
Thinking about whether this is the scientifically correct approach. :D Will let you know!

Watered with Easy Bloom Booster Tablets, they dissolve very well, get my pH down to a perfect value, I love them!! Watered about 3L only because I did it earlier to oppose the nute burn. :) My plan is to have more water in the medium, so the nutes won't concentrate too much.

Please could you tell me what you think about the (burnt?) edges?
My guess is that I should water more often to lower the concentration of nutes in the soil?
Nutes are RQS pellets in the soil, watered with plain water every 10-12 days..

Yes it looks like nutrient burn, but don't worry if it's just about this leave, you can try to water it more often but if you put too much nutrients in your container, it's gonna be hard to change that. Good luck to you

I am going to be so high the next weeks..
Sherbet is my favourite strain, so this one gets 10 stars. Well done RQS, this is more than I expected. Thank you for that!
I popped all three seeds, but only one made it to GD. One plant was the same as the plant here in my diary, but not as overfed. The other pheno turned out very sativa-like with thin finger leaves, really beautiful, and fat, dense, sticky buds.
One pheno grew 1 meter tall and delivered 170g of super sticky weed. WOOOW!!!11
You can see a pic of that one in my diary in the last week.
Anyway, the end product is awesome. They both produce sticky kolas, responed well to topping, potting was also not an issue. Just do not overfeed with nitrogen!
My plants grew between 40 cm and 1 m tall, they prove to be very suitable for indoors.
The effects are just like described on the RQS page: antidepressant, mood-swinging to the lighter side, anti-anxiety.. I personally feel very happy and also a bit hungry after a spliff. :D
Curing smells like caramel at times, the smell in the grinder is fruity and tangy, it's a mouthwatering smell!
Smoke tastes fresh and smooth, not too flashy, if you want to smoke it outside.

SlowpokeFuegobud Sherby was a pleasure to grow.
Because of too much N in early veg, there was an overproduction of leaves with one pheno, still a splendid harvest! This strain produces loads of trichomes. On one pheno I could see them with my bare eyes.
One pheno looks like a sativa strain, but huuuge buds, gave me 170 grams of the best Sherbet weed you can wish for!!1 π
You can LST, top her, or leave her alone. I succeded with either of these methods, haha.
Defoliation will probably be helpful.
