Benzelsanswered grow question 4y ago Nah, its been bunked finally as a myth. Darkness before harvest doesnt do anything to help at all. End of story. Keep lights on til she is ready and harvest first thing in the morning when she is ready to be chopped. Im a fan of doing a final heavy defol the day before i chop my plants as it makes trimming easier and the high stress is meant to make the plant think its being eaten by an animal and bump up THC production and resin production too in defense. No idea if it actually works, like I said its main purpose is to make trimming easier as I can chop and drop the leaves outdoors in garden bed, and take buds off to be trimmed at a table with less green waste on the table (plus do the work over two days not just one). But bro science says its meant to boost stuff...same as the dark period was meant to. That may be worth a try on one plant and see if it does anything u can see. Just dont waste time leaving em in the dark.
