Germination
This is the second seed germinated from a 3(+2) pack of Marathon OG Auto by DarkOwl (Dark Horse Genetics x Night Owl collaboration). A few notes about this diary: 1. I add up my nutrient doses throughout the week and add those to the amounts listed below. Includes water changes when applicable. 2. I use values from the last day of the week values for weekly measurements. light distance, ppm, ph, etc. 3. When dosing nutrients and additives, I use RO water in a 1L water bottle. Shake and add to the reservoir. ------------------------------------- The Setup: ------------------------------------- I built a custom single-site RDWC similar to PA Hydroponics to co-exist with a two-site system running in parallel running another strain in a 4x4, leaving room for a heater/dehumidifier/intake. This allows me to control the nutrients and water specifically for the Marathon OG plant. I made several mods and the system is running three air stones in the sites and one air stone in the reservoir and a final air stone reserved for the top-off bucket, which I will install once they start noticeably drinking. The air stones run across two air pumps for redundancy in case one goes out. For the Marathon OG run, it will run in the single-site system. Here are some essential bullet points about how I'm going to crush this run. 1. I'll be mainlining (if she lets me), LST and Scrog with HST into flower to even out the canopy. I've had success with these techniques and will be applying them to this grow. 2. This plant may share a scrog net with the other isolated two-site RDWC system in the same tent. I'm playing with the idea of two 2x4 nets perpendicular to each other to allow me some crawl space to work in when training. 3. Microbial Mass Pro - Last run, I had great success with this product. On week five, I had roots going down the 3" drain pipe and clogging the inline pump leading out of the reservoir to the waterfall in the plant site. It will be a 15ml dose every two weeks because the single-site system is about 28L (with air gap) and it calls for 0.5ml per liter every two weeks. Beneficials only live for 48 hours then begin to die off, but Microbial Mass uses heavy metals to extend the bacteria's life (from what I've read). 4. Since I'll be using Microbial Mass Pro for beneficial bacteria base, I'll only be dosing Orca twice a week which will serve mycorrhizae needs and additional beneficial bacterias. I'll be using Sensizym for enzymes. 5. I'll be introducing RapidStart for the first time and I plan on using it until end of stretch. 6. I'll be using AN base nutrients for keeping things as automated as possible due to my schedule and time limitations. AN PH Perfect line allows uptake from PH value of 4-8 which becomes very forgiving as my work and family life schedule is demanding. 7. This plant will be grown under a CMH 315 with Phillips bulb but may have some overlap with the HLG Rspec next to it used to grow another strain. I will start the CMH up when the VPD and temps align and the plant is large enough to take the intensity. Until then, it will run under a T5, and possibly a Spider Farmer SF1000 for transition. 8. I'll add the top-off bucket once the plant starts noticeably drinking. 9. Last run (Sage Scout), I tested the results of only performing one single water change during the entire grow - when switching to flower nutrients late stretch. I was setting out to fix a problem I found in previous runs where the PH would swing and the plants would stall every time I performed a water change. I was rather pleased with the results! However this run, I may add an additional water change mid-flower. I had some nutrient build-up on the roots, a couple of spots of rot concern, possibly leading to a salt build-up displaying as a deficiency I was seeing in only one plant. I'm going to set out to only change the water under four conditions because I feel there is circumstantial balance for an optimal run. A. I'm re-using clay pebbles this time to see if I can avoid the PH rise that typically happens in the first two weeks of the run before the roots establish themselves. Once the roots establish, the PH values will settle, but I may need to swap the water on day 14 depending on how high the PH value climbs. It always seems like a cat & mouse game for the first two weeks. B . When we switch to flower nutrients (Week 6-7ish) C. Mid-flower (Week 11 - Salt flush) D. If the water quality degrades. To determine this, I'll smell the reservoir every few days. If it smells like fresh greens, we are good. If it smells like a dirty aquarium, we are not good. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 1 (Mar 05, 2022) I'll be starting day/week count from this germination date. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hour 0 (Mar 5, 2022 // 12:00am) - Germinated at 12:00am in DVD case and paper towel misted with tap water. - Wrapped in a black t-shirt and placed in starter dome with a heat-mat set to 28c. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 2 (Mar 6, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6:00pm (Hour 36) - Germination check: Marathon OG seed has popped a tap root and germinated successfully. Lightly misted paper towel. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 3 (Mar 7, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 12:00am (Hour 48) - Transplanted into Rapid Rooter, misted with tap water then placed in starter dome with heat-mat set to 28C. - Added T5 light above dome and set to 20/4 schedule. 12:00pm - Misted with tap water. 6:00pm - Roots showing - Misted rapid rooter plug with seedling solution (1 L RO water + 1ml of Orca + 0.25ml of Microbial Mass and 0.25ml of Rapid Start) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 4 (Mar 8, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 12:00am - Misted with seedling solution (1 L RO water + 1ml of Orca + 0.25ml of Microbial Mass and 0.25ml of Rapid Start) 2:00am - Mixed solution in flexitank and filled single-site system. 28L RO Water 0.5ml/l of Rapid Start (mixed in flexitank) 0.6ml/l of AN Coco Grow A+B (mixed in flexitank) Resulting Values: PPM 200 Temp: 60F PH 6.0 - Pumped water into single-site system for conditioning and leak check. I added and filled Current Culture 8" net pot with hydroton clay pebbles up to the top of the platform (cavity underneath) inside the net pot. I leveled out the pebbles to create one layer of pebbles over the platform where the rapid rooter will reside. Then I let the misting of air stones and waterfalls wet the hydroton while the solution runs in the system for the day. I should also note the level of water is 3" from the bottom of the net pot. Air gap is so important, and the misting is sufficient to encourage the roots to get into the water. 9:00am - Misted with seedling solution (1 L RO water + 1ml of Orca + 0.25ml of Microbial Mass and 0.25ml of Rapid Start) 6:00pm - Misted with seedling solution (1 L RO water + 1ml of Orca + 0.25ml of Microbial Mass and 0.25ml of Rapid Start) 9:00pm - Added 0.5ml/l of Microbial Mass Pro to system. (28L x 0.5ml/l = 14ml). Added to 500ml water in a water bottle, shake and pour into the reservoir. PPM raised 20ppm. I added MM just before I transplanted because its more economical as it requires a dosage every two weeks. - Transplanted seedling into single-site RDWC system. - When transplanted, then I carefully place the rapid rooter and situate it so the visible tap root shooting out of the bottom of the rapid rooter is in between the pebbles for a straight shot into the bucket. Its been a a 50/50 if it helps at all. Sometimes the root gets lost but always finds it's way. Air: Temp: 78F Humidity: 70% Water: PPM: 220 Temp: 69F PH: 6.1 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 5 (Mar 9, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 78F Humidity: 70% Water: PPM: 220 Temp: 73F PH: 6.3 - Today I'm paying attention to environment values as I just moved to a new residence last month and I'm dialing in the environment with new variables and logistics. The tent is in a basement spare bedroom with an exterior window and I'm hoping for a cool environment. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 6 (Mar 10, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 78F Humidity: 70% Water: PPM: 220 Temp: 69F PH: 6.4 - Not quite finished with building and installing panel for window ventilation and AC, so I’ve cracked a window to lower the reservoir temp as it hit 74F on it's own yesterday. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 7 (Mar 11 , 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 78F Humidity: 70% Water: PPM: 240 Temp: 69F PH: 6.6 - Just keeping the tent warm and humid. Will check roots tomorrow.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 8 (Mar 12, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 78F Humidity: 70% RH PPM 240 Temp: 70F PH 6.6 PH rising. I had this issue on previous runs. PH seems to climb for first two weeks. Clay pebbles have been washed, soaked in bleach /water solution, rinsed and then boiled from last run. This is my first time re-using clay pebbles and was hoping it would fix the PH climbing issue before the roots hit the water. Guess not. Thanks to AN PH perfect tech, I’ll continue to ignore the PH. Marathon #1 has some vigor already yet its tap root is visible but winding around up in the net pot. - Doing well up top of the net pot, green and the first set of leaves (after cotyledons) are striving. - Still no roots coming down yet. I see a bunch winding around and popping out of rapid rooter when I look up into the net pot with a flash light. - Turned small fan on low for internal airflow. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 9 (Mar 13, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 78F Humidity: 70% RH Water: PPM: 240 Temp: 68F PH: 6.7 Gave her some private time. No disruptions. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 10 (Mar 14, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 78F Humidity: 70% RH Water: PPM: 240 Temp: 68F PH: 6.8 - Noticeable growth on the upside of the plant. - Did not check roots - will check tomorrow. - PH still rising one point per day. - Back-filled rest of net pot with pebbles - since net pot visor is in place, light leak wasn’t really an issue. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 11 (Mar 15, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 78F Humidity: 70% RH Water: PPM: 240 Temp: 68F PH: 6.9 - More noticeable growth today. - Tap root is visible in the Current Culture net pot cavity when I look underneath the net pot. Considerable growth given a single day. Should be in the waterl by the end of day tomorrow at this rate. - First set of true leaves after the cotyledons and single leaves just revealed itself. - Added 3ml of Orca to reservoir. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 12 (Mar 16, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 78F Humidity: 70% RH Water: PPM: 240 Temp: 68F PH: 6.9 - Another day of noticeable growth up top. - Removed a few pebbles around top of rapid rooter to checked rapid rooter moisture content - Looks moist (not wet) and spongey. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 13 (Mar 17, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 78F Humidity: 70% RH Water: PPM: 240 Temp: 68F PH: 6.8 - Everything looking good. More noticeable growth today. Will check root growth tomorrow. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 14 (Mar 18, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 78F Humidity: 70% RH Water: PPM: 250 Temp: 68F PH: 6.7 - PH slightly dropping now. - I’m going to let PH ride for now. I’m adding some AN Sensi Grow Coco tomorrow to try and bring the ph down more and hit the 300ppm mark. - Root check! Looks like there are some air roots forming in the inner net pot and three roots of equal length. Root development has been steady all week although most of it has taken place up in the net pot verse dangling into water. When these three all hit the water at same time, the leaf and branch development should take off.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 15 (Mar 19, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 76F Humidity: 70% RH Water: PPM: 220/320 Temp: 72F PH: 6.9 / 6.4 - Added a few pebbles for support. - Taped down visors on top of net baskets. - I moved the CMH out of the way and installed the SF1000 at 40" while leaving the T5 in place. I'll start lowering the SF1000 because it is not dimmable. I'll put the CMH in place when the plant start transpiring. - Running around 7K LUX and I will subtlety start increasing light intensity over the next 10-14 days. - Adding nutrients to a target of 300pm today (see below). - Note: I added the Rapid Start in 3 parts because it brings PH down, I didn't want to shock so I poured the dosage in three parts over 24 hours. Added 6ml of AN Sensi Grow Coco in 500ml RO water. PPM Start: 240 PPM Result: 300PPM PH Start: 6.9 Result: 6.6 Added 10ml Rapid Start in 500ml RO water Start: 300PPM Result: 330PPM PH Start: 6.6 Result: 6.4 Added 3ml Orca in 250ml RO water Start: 330PPM Result: 320PPM PH Start: 6.4 Result: 6.4 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 16 (Mar 20, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F Humidity: 70% RH Water: PPM: 340 Temp: 68F PH: 6.4 - Bumped up heater one degree to a setting of 75f. - Filling up two humidifiers about every 36h. - The one (blue) humidifier will be retired soon and I will install the intake AC Infinity S6. I just don't have the room at the moment with both humidifiers due to the design of the tent and the lower vent ports only exist at the front of the tent. I didn't think about that when I reconfigured the bucket placement for easier training and reach when I moved the two-site system from back to the front of the tent. Currently running a passive intake and AC Infinity T6 exhaust on a setting of 1. - Getting some spring-like temperatures now, closed window and turned on portable AC pointing at reservoirs outside of the tent to bring down water temp. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 17 (Mar 21, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F Humidity: 70% RH Water: PPM: 330 Temp: 69F PH: 6.4 - Lowered SF1000 a few inches to hit the target intensity of 13k Lux at top of the plant. - She is reaching for the sides of an 8" net pot. Almost there. - Next node popped; Second true node after cotyledons and single leaves. We should be popping nodes every other day soon. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 18 (Mar 22, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F Humidity: 70% RH Water: PPM: 320/350 Temp: 72F PH: 6.5/6.5 - PPM dropped slightly overnight. - Added 14ml (0.5ml/L) of Miicrobial Mass Pro to 500ml of RO water, shook well, and added to the reservoir. (Every other Tuesday). PPM value increased by 20ppm. - Just moved into a new residence before setting this up and I had a breaker flip last night. The entire basement is on two 15amp breaks set up as a dual breaker. Lights aren't even at 100% and the AC pointed at reservoirs had been running for 48 hours. There are four other rooms in the basement so this could be something I need to work through. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 19 (Mar 23, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F Humidity: 70% RH Water: PPM: 350 Temp: 70F PH: 6.5 - Spread her wings - So close to the edge of the 8" net pot. - The most vigorous plant in the tent right now. - Lowered SF1000 to a reading of 18K Lux. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 20 (Mar 24, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F Humidity: 70% RH Water: PPM: 350/340 Temp: 70F PH: 6.5 - Added 3ml of Orca to 500ml of RO water in a water bottle, shook, and added to the reservoir. - Noticeable growth all week, next node (3rd) is popping. For reference, the plants structure is like this: Cotyledons / single leaf / node one / node 2 / node 3. I'll be topping at (under) node three as soon as the 5th starts to show itself. 2-4 days. - I'll perform a root check tomorrow. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 21 (Mar 25, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F Humidity: 70% RH Water: PPM: 340 Temp: 72F PH: 6.5 - Root check! Much root development from beginning to the end of the week. - I expect big things from this plant. It's the most vigorous in the tent. - Planning on bumping PPM up a little tomorrow, maybe replenishing to 400ppm with Rapid Start and AN Sensi Coco Grow. RapidStart seems to add weight to the PPM values so I'll keep that in mind. Will also work on increasing light intensity this coming week with an expected topping.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 22 (Mar 26, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 76F Humidity: 67% RH Water: PPM: 350/340 Temp: 72F PH: 6.7 - Today I changed the cooling method. I have an AC pointed at the reservoirs, but today I found a 6" hepa filter at the hardware store and placed it on an intake fan using the AC hose to bring fresh cold air inside. I figured, we have two more weeks of cold temps so there is no need to run the AC if I can draw fresh air in from outside. - Maintaining a water temp of around 70f. - Dropped Humidity to 67% setting on inkbird controller now that plants are establishing roots. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 23 (Mar 27, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 75F Humidity: 67%/65% RH Water: PPM: 340/440 Temp: 71F PH: 6.7/6.5 - Massive inter-nodal growth overnight! - Lowered SF1000 light for a reading of 25k lux. - Dropped Humidity to 65% setting on inkbird controller. - I could top this morning, but I'll wait until the end of the day or tomorrow for a bit more growth; no need to stunt an autoflower. - Plants were fed with 10ml of AN Coco Grow to bring up the PPM to a value of 440 from 340. As always, I added nutrients to 500ml of RO water in a water bottle, shook, and added to the reservoir. Before Dosage: PPM: 340 PH 6.7 After Dosage: PPM: 440 PH 6.5 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 24 (Mar 28, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 75F Humidity: 65% RH Water: PPM: 440/470 Temp: 68F PH: 6.6/6.3 - The fourth node was unfolding, so I chose today to top the plant. I typically top around day 21, so I chose today to help ensure a second topping by day 30. - Topped plant just below the third node. - I'll clear the lower foliage throughout the week as it recovers and begin to train the next two tops. - Added 14ml of Rapid Start @ 0.5ml/l in 300ml of RO water, added to a water bottle, shook, and dumped in the reservoir. Before Dosage: PPM: 440 PH: 6.6 After Dosage: PPM: 470 PH: 6.3 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 25 (Mar 29, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 75F Humidity: 65%/63% RH Water: PPM: 470 Temp: 70F PH: 6.6/6.3 - New tops have noticeable growth overnight. - Will probably wait for a bit more growth before I tie down the new tops. - Cleaned some undergrowth to allow the plant to focus on new growth. Will trim the second node over the next 1-2 days to give it an attempt to avoid any stunting. - Dropped Humidity to 63% - Accounting for -2F leaf temp. Measured leaf temp with laser dot and it was 75f whereas ambient air temp is reading 77f . - Added 3ml Orca to 300ml RO water in a water bottle, shook, and added to the reservoir. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 26 (Mar 30, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 76F Humidity: 63% Water: PPM: 470 Temp: 71F PH: 6.4 - Removed second humidifier - RH is set at 63% so it really isn't needed any longer but having it would even out the RH in the space. The fogger can maintain 63% but I'll add another humidifier if the fogger cant keep up. - Trimmed a bit more growth below the top. - Tied down new tops very gently. - Root check (see photo) A bit of nutrient grit in the air zone, expected with AN. Running Miicrobial Mass and Orca, I don't see any rot happening any time soon. I'll start some - Sensizym enzymes soon. to take care of any dead root matter now that the roots have established themselves. - Large fan leaves beginning to crinkle a bit. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 27 (Mar 31, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 75F Humidity: 63% Water: PPM: 460 Temp: 71F PH: 6.5 - Removed remaining undergrowth below the topping - she can now focus on the growth of the top nodes. - Second nodes popping on new tops. - PPM dropped by a value of 10 overnight. - Had some power surges with a wind storm today and the heater doesn't power back on when there is a power outage. I didn't notice until late in the day because the digital clocks didn't even reset. This threw the VPD out of wack for the day as the ambient air temp was around 68f. Probably won't help the crinkled leaf issue. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 28 (Apr 1, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 75F Humidity: 63% Water: PPM: 460 Temp: 71F PH: 6.5 - Just let her chill and kept VPD in check. - I'll probably bump the nutrients tomorrow is the PPMs drop again overnight - this shows me the first signs she is taking up nutrients. - Not lifting net pots any longer as the roots are starting to wind around the sides of the buckets. - Still filling up humidifier (fogger) nightly - until plants start transpiring on their own. - Lowered SF1000 light a bit more for a reading of 27K lux.

Need to double check VPD. - Should have given Orca today but I got busy with other things. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 30 (Apr 3, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F Humidity: 63% Water: PPM: 450 Temp: 70F PH: 6.5 - Tightened the tie downs some more to level out the shape of the branch. - Nodes are popping, I could probably top today but I'd be more comfortable with a bit more growth. I'll see what they look like at the end of the day. - Root check - root ball has now formed in the back of the bucket. Looked in bucket lid - did not lift. - Water doesn't smell as fresh as desired. I'm looking for water to smell like fresh spring green salad. Gave 5ml Orca (double dose) added to 400ml RO water in water bottle, shook, and poured into reservoir. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 31 (Apr 4, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F Humidity: 66% Water: PPM: 430/520 Temp: 71F PH: 6.4 - Adjusted the training tie-downs on two main branches. - She had enough growth on the new branches, so I topped both main tops for a full on mainline setup (4 tops). - PPM dropped by 20 points overnight. - Ph dropped one basis point overnight from 6.5. - Added 10ml of AN Sensigrow Coco A+B. Before Dosage: PPM: 510 PH: 6.4 After Dosage: PPM: 540 PH: 6.2 - PPM dropped by 10 points overnight. - Changed out intake fan used to cool reservoirs with portable AC as we have some more spring-like days this week on Lake Huron. - Adjusted and tightened the training tie-downs on two main branches. - Lots of growth overnight - Tied down all new tops (4) perpendicular to main branches. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 33 (Apr 6, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F Humidity: 66% Water: PPM: 530/550 Temp: 70F PH: 6.3/6.2 - Fogger was stopped up. The hose had a sag in it where water condensed. I lifted the hose and began working. - I'm usually always watching for this but yesterday life just got busy. - PPM steady, PH rose one/tenth basis point. (6.2 to 6.3). - Adjusted tie-downs on all tops. - Added 14ml of Miicrobial Mass (0.5ml/l added every other Tuesday) Before Dosage: PPM: 530 PH: 6.3 After Dosage: PPM: 550 PH: 6.2 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 34 (Apr 7, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F Humidity: 65% Water: PPM: 540 Temp: 70F PH: 6.2 - Hooked up AC Infinity intake for an active intake. It's pulling air from the air conditioned area where the reservoirs are. There is one filter on the fan (hepa) and one filter where the tent intake is located. - I was using a passive intake with screen-style filter prior to today. I hooked the fan up without using the T6 controller. I used the default controller so I can better control negative pressure as they start to flower. - Tightened down and adjusted training ties to keep plant spread out. - PPM dropping by a value of 10ppm on its own. - The crinkled leaves has pretty much corrected itself. - It seems I'm out of Orca - thought I had another bottle. Two weeks out on Amazon.ca for Great White and Orca. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 35 (Apr 8, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F Humidity: 65% Water: PPM: 520 Temp: 70F PH: 6.3 - Seems like a slight calcium deficiency showed up, not too worried. - In past runs, often seems to get this waxy look to the leaves around this time in DWC which is starting to happen today. - She's going to be a monster if she keeps spreading out like this.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 36 (Apr 9, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F Humidity: 63% Water: PPM: 500 Temp: 70F PH: 6.3 - Tightened down and adjusted training ties to keep plant spread out. - Trimmed bottom fan leaves. They are too heavy and laying on buckets and are now a liability. - PPM dropped to 500; displaying signs of hunger. - Now that the plant is drinking and eating, I'm going to start dosing nutrients on an as-needed basis. instead of weekly to maintain desired PPM concentrations. - Removed the screen on the reservoir outlet to pump to clean, but opted to not add it back yet for better flow. There wasn’t much debris caught in the screen. - Gave 5ml of AN Sensi Coco Grow A+B Before Dosage: PPM: 500 PH: 6.3 After Dosage: PPM: 550 PH: 6.2 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 37 (Apr 10, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 75F Humidity: 63% Water: PPM: 550/520 Temp: 70F PH: 6.1 - Tightened and adjusted training ties to keep plant spread out. - She is eating, PPMs on the drop. Dropped to 520 today from 550. Turned second small fan on. - Adjusted calibration on Inkbird humidity controller with an average between AC infinity and hygrometer. - Bluelab monitor alerting. I need a recalibration this week. - Leaf was twisting up and facing light. Odd. - Also have a slight calcium deficiency showing up. Not going to treat yet. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 38 (Apr 11, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 75F Humidity: 63% Water: PPM: 500/550 Temp: 70F PH: 6.0 - Tightened and adjusted training ties to keep plant spread out. - Warmer spring-like temps outside this week. - I'll be connecting the top-off bucket soon. - PPM dropped to 500 so I topped up the nutrients. - Gave 5ml of AN Sensi Coco Grow A+B in 700ml RO water, shook, and added to reservoir. Before Dosage: PPM: 500 PH: 6.0 After Dosage: PPM: 550 PH: 6.0 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 39 (Apr 12, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 75F Humidity: 63% Water: PPM: 550/530/560 Temp: 69F PH: 6.0/5.7 - Adjusted and tightened down the training ties. - PPM dropped to 530 by evening. - Added 14ml (0.5ml/l) of RapidStart to 500ml water in water bottle and poured in reservoir. Before Dosage: PPM: 530 PH: 6.0 After Dosage: PPM: 560 PH: 5.7 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 40 (Apr 13, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 75F Humidity: 63% Water: PPM: 560/530 Temp: 69F PH: 5.7 - Adjusted tie downs on four main branches. - Bud sites are starting to pop. Entering stretch phase. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 41 (Apr 14, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 75F Humidity: 63% Water: PPM: 520 Temp: 71F PH: 5.7 - Lots of growth overnight and today. - She’s pushing to the 2x2ft size so that will max the SF1000 footprint so I’ll be putting the CMH light in place this weekend and moving the SF1000 off to the side and using for supplemental light for the two-site system. - Adjusted and tightened down training ties. - Tucking leaves to allow for new shoots to receive priority light. - Plants are now transpiring enough to keep the tent at 63% RH. Humidifiers are not needed to be filled every day within the last few days. - PPMs dropped to 520, I’ll lightly feed tomorrow then bump it up a bit a couple of days after the CMH is in place - Water level is steady which was surprising. - Root check shows white roots (didn’t lift pot, just peeked in lid. I’m going to have to check daily the next 10-14 days and make sure the roots don’t climb down the return drains like the Sage Scout run. - Clipped two of the bottom fan leaves, will clip off last two tomorrow. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 42 (Apr 15, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 75F Humidity: 63% Water: PPM: 500/600 Temp: 71F PH: 5.8/5.8 - Officially entering stretch mode. The new shoots are really reaching for the sky. - Tucking leaves to keep the new growth free of shade. - Adjusted the tie-downs on branches. - Gave 10ml AN Coco Grow A+B, added to 1L RO water, shook, and dumped into the reservoir. Weekly Summary: Lots of progress this week! Noticeable growth each and every day. Pushing a 2ftx2ft canopy. Full-on stretch mode is in play and she is sucking down nutrients. Swapped the SF1000 out for the CMH 315. Installed the scrog net and been training branches daily. Prelim install top-off bucket, but have to make a couple of mods for it to work with two RDWC systems. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 43 (Apr 16, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F Humidity: 63% Water: PPM: 530/600 Temp: 71F PH: 5.7/5.8 - More leaf tucking to give new growth 100% light with no shade. - Adjusted the tie-downs on branches. - Removed SF1000 light and replaced with CMH 315 light. - Added 2L RO water to bring water level back up. - Gave 8ml AN Coco Grow A+B, added to 1L RO water, shook, and dumped into reservoir. Before Dosage: PPM: 530 PH: 5.7 After Dosage: PPM: 600 PH: 5.8 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 44 (Apr 17, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 79F Humidity: 63% Water: PPM: 570/610 Temp: 71F PH: 5.6/5.7 - Adjusted the tie-downs on branches. - Added the 4x4 scrog net into place. - Adjusted intake/exhaust fan speeds now that CMH is in place (over Marathon OG in single-site system) and creating a bit more heat. - Some light defoliation where shading lower growth/shoots - only where leaves can’t be tucked. - Gave 5ml AN Coco Grow A+B, added to 1L RO water, shook, and dumped into reservoir. Before Dosage: PPM: 570 PH: 5.6 After Dosage: PPM: 610 PH: 5.7 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 45 (Apr 18, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 78F Humidity: 63% Water: PPM: 58 Temp: 72F PH: 5.7 - Lots of growth overnight. Lots of branching! - Weaved a few tall shoots and tucked some leaves. Defoliated a couple of leaves that were not tuckable. - Dialed in the lights-out environment. Looks like a 70f is where it will average during lights out (heater set to 74f). - Adjusted settings on Inkbird for better VPD. Boosted humidity to 67% because the temp in the tent is a bit higher now (78f-80f) and going for 70f and 58% RH for lights out. - Tent is riding at 60% without any humidifiers just based on transpiration. - Heater is still in place for lights out, but I’ll be swapping with a dehumidifier soon. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 46 (Apr 19, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F (Day) / 68F (Night) Humidity: 67% (Day) / 57% (Night) Water: PPM: 550/600 Temp: 70F PH: 5.5/5.6 - Spent time training through the net, but not much defoliation was needed. - She is spread out pretty good and looks like she’s going to hit a 3x3 footprint soon. She's a Monster! - Gave 7ml of AN Coco Grow early in day. Before Dosage: PPM: 550 PH: 5.5 After Dosage: PPM: 600 PH: 5.6 - Gave 14ml of Microbial Mass Pro (every two weeks) Before Dosage: PPM: 600 PH: 5.6 After Dosage: PPM: 610 PH: 5.5 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 47 (Apr 20, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F (Day) / 68F (Night) Humidity: 67% (Day) / 57% (Night) Water: PPM: 590 Temp: 70F PH: 5.5 - More training through the net. - Prelim setup of the top-off bucket with a tee fitting to go to both RDWC systems (two-site and single site). I will test tomorrow but I think I’m going to need two drains in the top-off bucket - because the ability to level a tee is going to be cumbersome. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 48 (Apr 21, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F (Day) / 68F (Night) Humidity: 67% (Day) / 57% (Night) Water: PPM: 550/650 Temp: 68F PH: 5.5/5.4 - Spent some time training bud sites through the net. Not much defoliation - she’s spread out pretty well. - Super-cropped a few of the tall branches and directed them toward their final resting places. - Continued top-off setup. The tee is not going to work as it favors one side or the other, no matter how I level it. I’m definitely going to need to add another drain to the top-off bucket and have each drain go to each reservoir. Adjusted the float valves in each reservoir to maintain the water level - will need some more testing once the top-off system is in place. - Added 10ml of AN Coco Grow A+B with 2L RO water in a water bottle, shook, and poured into the reservoir. Before Dosage: PPM: 550 PH: 5.5 After Dosage: PPM: 650 PH: 5.4 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 49 (Apr 22, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F (Day) / 68F (Night) Humidity: 67% (Day) / 57% (Night) Water: PPM: 590/650 Temp: 70F PH: 5.5 - Only trained a couple of branches - placements are good atm. - Gave 8 ml of AN Coco Grow A+B early in the day. Before Dosage: PPM: 590 PH: 5.5 After Dosage: PPM: 650 PH: 5.5 - Still clearly in veg mode, but the pre-flowers are noticeably starting today - Tucked some leaves, but didn’t find the need to train much today. - All bud sites seem pretty well-positioned for the moment. - I will be installing the dehumidifier and carbon filter this weekend.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 50 (Apr 23, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F (Day) / 68F (Night) Humidity: 57% (Day) / 50% (Night) Water: PPM: 600/650 Temp: 70F PH: 5.5 - She is still stretching and bringing down ppm daily. I will switch to bloom nutrients once they slow down with uptake and don’t require as much nitrogen. - Worked on top-off bucket system. Drilled a second drain in the top-off bucket so now each reservoir (two RDWC systems running in parallel sharing top-off bucket) will be connected directly instead of a tee fitting. Installed water line to float vales in the reservoir. - Installed carbon filter. - Added 7ml of AN Coco Grow A+B with 2L RO water in a water bottle, shook and poured into the reservoir. Before Dosage: PPM: 600 PH: 5.5 After Dosage: PPM: 650 PH: 5.6 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 51 (Apr 24, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F (Day) / 68F (Night) Humidity: 54% (Day) / 50% (Night) Water: PPM: 620 Temp: 68F/74F PH: 5.5 - Top off bucket leaking where it connects to float valve. Began leaking this afternoon due to a drip. Had to cut the plastic tarp under the reservoir (and tent) as the water was under the plastic (so much for that - getting a custom tarp made for the next run). - Got the fitting for the top-off float valve tightened down even more with pliers but I may have to add some Teflon tape if it persists. - Tucked some leaves, but didn’t train much today. All bud sites seem well placed at the moment. - Water temp got up into mid-seventies because I had to move the portable AC to work on top-off. - Removed HEPA filter off intake for better airflow. (Still using one filter at the tent intake). - Started daily regimen of giving 8ml of AN Sensizym enzymes. - She’s definitely has a wide look to her. Not much defoliation is needed, with the exception of a few light-blocking fan leaves. - No nutrients today as PPM is over 600 still. Target is 650 when ppm drops to 600. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 52 (Apr 25, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F (Day) / 67F (Night) Humidity: 50% (Day) / 47% (Night) Water: PPM: 590/650 Temp: 70F PH: 5.6 - Removed heater and installed dehumidifer - hooked to ink bird controller for lights out as the plants are transpiring more now as they begin to drink noticeably. - Set humidity value on ink bird controller to be more in line with a hybrid veg/flower VPD. - Added 8ml of AN Sensizym (daily enzymes) with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook, and poured into the reservoir. - Added 7ml of AN Coco Grow A+B with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook and poured into the reservoir. Before Dosage: PPM: 590 PH: 5.6 After Dosage: PPM: 640 PH: 5.6 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 53 (Apr 26, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F (Day) / 67F (Night) Humidity: 50% (Day) / 44% (Night) Water: PPM: 590/640 Temp: 69F PH: 5.6 - Noticeable increase in smell in the tent today. It’s definitely Marathon and not the Outlier Z plants in the parallel two-site system. - Noticeable trichome development starting. - Spent a minute training the branches to ensure each has its own space to swell; most were already in a pretty good location. - Added 8ml of AN Sensizym (daily enzymes) with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook, and poured into the reservoir. - Added 7ml of AN Coco Grow A+B with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook, and pour into the reservoir. Before Dosage: PPM: 590 PH: 5.6 After Dosage: PPM: 640 PH: 5.6 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 54 (Apr 27, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F (Day) / 67F (Night) Humidity: 50% (Day) / 44% (Night) Water: PPM: 610/700 Temp: 69F PH: 5.7 - Adding a few liters to the top off bucket daily now. - Top off bucket has a tiny drip from time to time where it ports into the reservoir bucket. I'll need to disassemble, add some Teflon tape, and reinstall when I find the time. - Keeping humidifiers full. - Kicked down the fans a bit because I’m only able to reach about 47% RH with two humidifiers, but had no problem reaching 70% earlier in growth. I’m in a new residence so it could be something with the ambient air in room/outside as spring arrives in Ontario. I’ve also reconfigured the placement of the humidifiers when I installed the dehumidifier a few days ago which could be part of the issue. - Upping nutrient concentration today a bit and see if she likes it. The tip burn was pretty minor from a couple of weeks ago. - Added 8ml of AN Sensizym (daily enzymes) with 500ml RO water in water bottle, shook and poured into the reservoir. - Added 10ml of AN Coco Grow A+B with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook, and poured into the reservoir. Before Dosage: PPM: 610 PH: 5.6 After Dosage: PPM: 700 PH: 5.6 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 55 (Apr 28, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F (Day) / 67F (Night) Humidity: 50% (Day) / 44% (Night) Water: PPM: 700/650/710 Temp: 69F PH: 5.6 - Preflowers are really stacking up now. - I’m still going to give grow nutrients for a bit longer as she is still taking the ppms but I’ll be switching to bloom nutrients and the first water change in the coming days. - Took down 50ppm of nutrients. - Added 8ml of AN Sensizym (daily enzymes) with 500ml RO water in water bottle, shook and poured into reservoir. - Added 7ml of AN Coco Grow A+B with 500ml RO water in water bottle, shook and poured into reservoir. Before Dosage: PPM: 650 PH: 5.6 After Dosage: PPM: 710 PH: 5.6 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 56 (Apr 29, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F (Day) / 67F (Night) Humidity: 50% (Day) / 44% (Night) Water: PPM: 680 Temp: 69F PH: 5.6 - Smell in tent (now the room) is getting stronger. - Added 8ml of AN Sensizym (daily enzymes) with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook and poured into the reservoir.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 57 (Apr 30, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F (Day) / 67F (Night) Humidity: 50% (Day) / 40% (Night) Water: PPM: 650/710 Temp: 69F PH: 5.6 - Added 8ml of AN Sensizym (daily enzymes) with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook, and poured into the reservoir. - Added 7ml of AN Sensi Coco Grow A+B with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook, and poured into the reservoir. - Added mini fans on top of RDWC buckets, pointing up under the canopy. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 58 (May 1, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F (Day) / 67F (Night) Humidity: 48% (Day) / 40% (Night) Water: PPM: 700 Temp: 69F PH: 5.6 - Added 8ml of AN Sensizym (daily enzymes) with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook and poured into the reservoir. - PPMs stayed around 700, so I didn’t give any additional nutrients today. - Dropped daytime humidity to 48%. - Humidity seems to be maintaining itself now with transpiration from plants. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 59 (May 2, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F (Day) / 67F (Night) Humidity: 48% (Day) / 40% (Night) Water: PPM: 670/760 Temp: 69F PH: 5.7 - Frost is starting to shine; trichome production in full force. - Moved clip fan to under the canopy pointing up. - Recalibrated Bluelab Guardian. It was off by about 2 points. (Actual PH was around 5.5 after calibration) - Water change today, switching to bloom nutrients. Today will be the first water change of the grow. I expect a stall in the eating and drinking. I’m going out of town for a few days so I’ll be prepping the flexitank for a bit extra to fill up the top-off bucket with the nutrient solution to keep things steady. ------------------------- Flexitank ------------------------- 75 Liters of RO water (both single and two-site systems) Added 180ml of AN Sensi Bloom Coco A+B Final Values PH: 6.2 PPM: 760 Water temp: 66f (59f out of filter line - had to let it warm up before exchanging water) At first, I thought the PH of the new solution was within a safe range of the 5.7 reading, but after calibration, it was more like a 5.5. I grew concerned the PH range was too drastic. I like to keep the water changes within the range of 5 points (5.7-6.2). Anything greater can induce PH shock. I could add PH up to the live system to bring it closer to the value of 6.2, but I will have some residual solution in the system after draining and I don’t want to risk altering the PH perfect tech. I’m going with my gut and expect that PH to come down when I drop it in the system. 1. Drained system. 2. Checked roots and cleared elbow drain by gently pulling roots back into the first bucket. 3. Filled 25L into the system (top off bucket will top off to exact level set by float valve in the reservoir. 4. Filled top off bucket with remaining new nutrient solution for while I’m out of town; approx 6 gallons. I should note: 1. I think the lack of using Orca shows in the root system. 2. I miss the Flying Skull Z9 product keeping the system clean. There is quite a bit of nutrient residue compared to my last two runs. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 60 (May 3, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F (Day) / 67F (Night) Humidity: 46% (Day) / 46% (Night) Water: PPM: 760 Temp: 68F PH: 6.2/6.1 Moved AC in closer to reservoirs. Seems to be working a bit better. Added 10ml of AN Sensizym (daily enzymes) with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook and poured into the reservoir. Added 14ml of Microbial Mass Pro 1L RO water in a water bottle, shook and poured into the reservoir. Before Dosage: PPM: 760 PH: 6.2 After Dosage: PPM: 770 PH: 6.1 Headed out of town in the morning. I’m sure they’ll be fine. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 61 (May 4, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Out of town ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 62 (May 5, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Out of town - Had a friend add 5L of RO water to the top-off bucket. - Values unknown. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 63 (May 6, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F (Day) / 67F (Night) Humidity: 46% (Day) / 43% (Night) Water: PPM: 750 Temp: 68F PH:5.9 - Back in town! - She looks great. Pre-flowers flipped to bud structure in the time I was away. - She is frosting up! - PPMs dropped down to the 750 range, but held steady with the top-off solution as it started out at 770.

Big PPM drop today - down to 650. She’s hungry. The tent smell went bonkers and turned to gas and burnt tires today. I could smell it outside my residence, with a carbon filter. I removed the hose clamps of the exhaust fan and added foil tape to create a better seal in hopes the carbon filter would have a better draw. Added 10ml of AN Sensi Coco Bloom A+B in 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook and poured into the reservoir. Before Dosage: PPM: 650 PH: 5.9 After Dosage: PPM: 750 PH: 5.9 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 65 (May 8, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F (Day) / 67F (Night) Humidity: 46% (Day) / 36% (Night) Water: PPM: 690/790 Temp: 68F PH:5.9 Minor defoliation and released a few super crop training clips. Started a daily regimen of 8ml of AN Big Bud phosphorus supplement today. Exhaust fan adjustment with tape seemed to work for creating a better draw with the carbon filter as I cannot smell it outside of residence now. Added 8ml of AN Big Bud (daily) with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook and poured into the reservoir. Added 8ml of AN Sensizym (daily enzymes) with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook and poured into the reservoir. Added 6L of RO water to top-off bucket (used by both single and two-site system). Keeping the top-off bucket slightly filled for fresher water possible vs filling it all the way up. For example I filled up 3 liters, twice today so I can better determine how much is being consumed by plants. Added 10ml of AN Sensi Coco Bloom A+B in 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook and poured into the reservoir. Before Dosage: PPM: 690 PH: 5.9 After Dosage: PPM: 790 PH: 5.9 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 66 (May 9, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F (Day) / 67F (Night) Humidity: 46% (Day) / 36% (Night) Water: PPM: 770 Temp: 68F PH:5.9 PPM is pretty much steady; not giving base nutrients until it hits 700. Added 8ml of AN Big Bud (daily) with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook and poured into the reservoir. Added 8ml of AN Sensizym (daily enzymes) with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook and poured into the reservoir. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 67 (May 10, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F (Day) / 67F (Night) Humidity: 46% (Day) / 43% (Night) Water: PPM: 740 Temp: 68F PH:5.9 Water temperature is now averaging 66f-70f throughout the day. She is still smelling like burnt tires. PPMs really didn’t drop so I didn’t give any additional base nutrients today. Still filling the top-off bucket with RO water daily. Added 8ml of AN Big Bud (daily) with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook and poured into the reservoir. Added 8ml of AN Sensizym (daily enzymes) with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook and poured into the reservoir. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 68 (May 11, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F (Day) / 67F (Night) Humidity: 46% (Day) / 36% (Night) Water: PPM: 690/840 Temp: 68F PH:6.0/5.9 Trained some branches to be in better positions for swelling. Added 8ml of AN Big Bud (daily) with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook and poured into the reservoir. Added 8ml of AN Sensizym (daily enzymes) with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook and poured into the reservoir. Gave base nutrients today and bumped up the PPMs to 800+ to see how she will take it. Added 15ml of AN Sensi Coco Bloom A+B in 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook and poured into the reservoir. Before Dosage: PPM: 690 PH: 6.0 After Dosage: PPM: 840 PH: 5.9 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 69 (May 12, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F (Day) / 67F (Night) Humidity: 46% (Day) / 36% (Night) Water: PPM: 810 Temp: 68F PH:5.9 Added 8ml of AN Big Bud (daily) with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook and poured into the reservoir. Added 8ml of AN Sensizym (daily enzymes) with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook and poured into the reservoir. Spent a few mins spreading the branches. She’s still nimble for training. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 70 (May 13, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F (Day) / 67F (Night) Humidity: 46% (Day) / 36% (Night) Water: PPM: 790 Temp: 68F PH:5.8 Added 8ml of AN Big Bud (daily) with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook and poured into the reservoir. Added 8ml of AN Sensizym (daily enzymes) with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook and poured into the reservoir. Trichomes on sugar leaves are already kicking some amber color- but I need these buds to swell, so she can have as much time as she needs. She really has slowed down on the eating and drinking after bumping up the nutrient concentration to 840ppm so I’m going to let the PPM concentration values come down a bit and will top off to 800 once they hit 750 to avoid any lockout issues.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 71 (May 14, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F (Day) / 67F (Night) Humidity: 46% (Day) / 43% (Night) Water: PPM: 780 Temp: 68F PH:5.8 - Added 8ml of AN Big Bud (daily) with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook and poured into the reservoir. - Added 8ml of AN Sensizym (daily enzymes) with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook and poured into the reservoir. - Added 8ml of AN B52 with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook and poured into the reservoir. - I haven’t really needed to defoliate anything but a few leaves here and there. She’s been super easy to care for. - Looks like she’s starting her second round of white pistils. I'll likely harvest when she stops shooting new pistils, but will watch for any signs of herm to be sure. - I had a small amount of Rhinoskin left, so I decided to use it to promote some trichome development. - Added 8ml of AN Rhinoskin with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook, and poured into the reservoir. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 72 (May 15, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 77F (Day) / 67F (Night) Humidity: 46% (Day) / 41% (Night) Water: PPM: 780 Temp: 68F PH:5.8 - Added 8ml of AN Big Bud (daily) with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook, and poured into the reservoir. - Added 8ml of AN Sensizym (daily enzymes) with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook, and poured into the reservoir. - Added 8ml of AN B52 with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook, and poured into the reservoir. - Added 8ml of AN Rhinoskin with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook, and poured into the reservoir. - PPMs are not dropping. The top-off bucket isn’t draining as fast as it was last week but I should mention I am adding some additives and about 2L of water daily directly to the reservoir so it isn’t relying on the top-off bucket as much. The PPMs from additives add up to about 10ppm each dose. - The smell in the tent really kicked into high gear today. It's definitely the Marathon because the Outlier Z’s residing next to her do not have much smell at all (as per user reports in the nightowl sub). - Worked on negative pressure today to try and better contain the smell better where it vents outside. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 73 (May 16, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 80F (Day) / 67F (Night) Humidity: 46% (Day) / 40% (Night) Water: PPM: 800 Temp: 70F PH:5.9 - Added 8ml of AN Big Bud (daily) with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook, and poured into the reservoir. - Added 8ml of AN B52 (daily) with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook, and poured into the reservoir. - Added 8ml of AN Sensizym (daily enzymes) with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook, and poured into the reservoir. - Added 8ml of AN Rhinoskin with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook, and poured into the reservoir. - PPMs not really dropping. In fact, they are going up today. - Keep in mind, that the additives add weight to the PPM values, but only maybe 10-25 ppms max. - I haven’t given any bloom nutrients in several days because PPms have been holding - she’s coming up on the finishing line for sure. - When I fed additives it came to about 2L so that’s about what she is drinking daily now because top-off bucket isn't draining, slower than last week. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 74 (May 17, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 79F (Day) / 67F (Night) Humidity: 46% (Day) / 40% (Night) Water: PPM: 810 Temp: 70F PH:5.8 - Added 8ml of AN Rhinoskin with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook, and poured into the reservoir. - Added 8ml of AN B52 (daily) with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook, and poured into the reservoir. - Added 8ml of AN Sensizym (daily enzymes) with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook, and poured into the reservoir. - Added 8ml of AN Big Bud with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook, and poured into the reservoir. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 75 (May 18, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 79F (Day) / 67F (Night) Humidity: 46% (Day) / 40% (Night) Water: PPM: 830 Temp: 70F PH:5.8 - Added 8ml of AN Rhinoskin with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook, and poured into the reservoir. - Added 8ml of AN Sensizym (daily enzymes) with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook, and poured into the reservoir. - Added 8ml of AN Big Bud with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook, and poured into the reservoir. - I finally added water to the top-off bucket today after a week. It's been about a week since I gave any bloom nutrients as well. She's heading for the finish line. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 76 (May 19, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 79F (Day) / 67F (Night) Humidity: 46% (Day) / 40% (Night) Water: PPM: 800 Temp: 70F PH:5.8 - Woke up this morning and the entire circuit was powered off but the overhead lights connected to the circuit worked which typically went off. The breaker was not flipped. The breaker is a double 15amp breaker. I’ve only tripped the breaker a few times, but who knows how many times it had been tripped before we moved into the residence. I’ll be replacing the breaker ASAP and reconfiguring the load. RH was at 98% but water temp was only at 68 so it hadn’t been too long (I don’t think). - My emergency contingency was to run two 12/2 extensions to another circuit. On the first extension, I added the dehumidifier and got that powered right away. The second 12/2 extension cord is powering the fans, pumps, and led lights. - I then unplugged the CMH light over the Marathon OG to omit the CMH 315 watts until the finish line. I placed the HLG 300 over the Marathon OG and the OZ #1 in the two-site system. This will have to do for now. I’m looking at maybe getting a 200w LED for the single-site system for the next run to reduce the wattage enough, but not sacrifice the gram per watt. - AC is going to have to rotate with the dehumidifier for the next couple of days so I don't overload the circuit I'm temporarily running off of. - I didn't give any boosters today. - Added 16ml of AN Sensizym (double dose) with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook and poured into the reservoir. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 77 (May 20, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 73F (Day) / 75F (Night) Humidity: 46% (Day) / 40% (Night) Water: PPM: 800 (steady) Temp: 67F - 75F PH:5.8 - Powered up the AC at different times during the day when Dehumidifier is not running. Running T6 exhaust at speed of ‘7’ and intake s6 fan is running at a speed of 2. - Dehumidifier is running using lights off with T6 exhaust fan at speed value of ‘9’ and intake S9 fan at a speed of ‘2’ for negative pressure. Rises temp to mid 70's when lights are off. - The plan is to replace the breaker tomorrow and will isolate AC onto a different circuit. - So far, we are staying within VPD ranges. - Water temp got a bit high when the dehumidifer heated up the tent during lights off, but I brought it down quickly with the AC. - Finally got Microbial Mass Pro in my hands as it was out of stock at a local store so I had to order online. - Gave 14ml of Microbial mass in 1L RO water in a water bottle. Shook and added to the reservoir.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 78 (May 21, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 79F (Day) / 67F (Night) Humidity: 46% (Day) / 40% (Night) Water: PPM: 800 Temp: 67F - 75F PH:5.8 - Filled up top-off bucket with 4L of plain RO water for the first time in a few days. - By running AC at intervals, the water temp has a bit more range now. I’m running AC for 6 hours before lights off, which is averaging a 67f water temp. But after the dehumidifier runs for 4 hours during lights out, the temp water temp is getting up to about 73f, then I kick AC back on and it brings the water temp back down throughout the day. - Added 8ml of AN Sensizym (daily enzymes) with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook and poured into the reservoir. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 79 (May 22, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 75F (Day) / 67F (Night) Humidity: 46% (Day) / 40% (Night) Water: PPM: 760 Temp: 67F - 72F PH:5.9 - Electical breaker replaced. - Finally the top-off bucket is draining again and the PPMs are dropping. - Added another 4L to the top off bucket. - Added 8ml of AN Sensizym (daily enzymes) with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook and poured into the reservoir. - Haven’t given any nutrients in 10 days as the PPM has been rising and/or holding in the 800’s. Didn’t see the point in diluting because: A: The top off bucket is plain RO water and should serve to dilute. B: The plant didn’t react by displaying any signs nutrient burn or overfeeding. Did she stall? Maybe...but hard to say as she is in swell mode now. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 80 (May 23, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 75F (Day) / 67F (Night) Humidity: 46% (Day) / 40% (Night) Water: PPM: 740 Temp: 67F - 71F PH: 5.9 - Added 8ml of AN Sensizym (daily enzymes) with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook and poured into the reservoir. - Air temp is now pretty stable as well. I’m kicking up exhaust fan with dehumidifier on lights out. During lights on, its averaging 45-49% RH on its own with temp rise due to lights and exhaust which is keeping VPD in check. - Trichome check - Getting some amber on the top of the buds. Large percentage of trichomes (incl. lower growth) are full-on milky. - There are some flowers that are bouncing due to the fan so I’ll try and get in and add some support as soon as time allows. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 81 (May 24, 2022) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Air: Temp: 75F (Day) / 67F (Night) Humidity: 46% (Day) / 40% (Night) Water: PPM: 710/760 Temp: 68F-72F PH: 6.0 - PPM finally dropped to 710, so I’m going to give a dose of Bloom nutrients and some additives for the first time in five days. - Added 8ml of AN Sensizym (daily enzymes) with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook and poured into the reservoir. Before Dosage: PPM: 710 PH: 6.0 After Dosage: PPM: 710 PH: 6.0 - Added 5ml of AN Coco Bloom A+B with 500ml RO water in a water bottle, shook, and poured into the reservoir. Happy Harvest Day!

Best OG Kush I've ever grown, hands down! The flavour is kushy, smoke is smooth and definitely my favorite strain in my tote of cured harvests at the moment. I can't keep my hands off of the jars. Definitely not a daytime strain, even for experienced users, although I'll use it in the afternoon when life is throwing curve balls. The effects rise you up, then sets you right down and will wash away all that anxiety after a long day. Put it this way....if I puff a few hours before bed, I still feel it the next morning when I peel my eyes open. No joke. Bag appeal is top-notch. Trichome covered, with aromas of that unique 'kush' you can quickly identify based on experience. Super easy to grow. She spread her wings like a Huntsman Spider when mainlined. On the branch, the smell was amazing. Freshly poured blacktop/ burnt rubber tires is the best way I can explain it. I'll definitely be growing this one again, maybe even next run because I'll be sad when I run out.

######################################### HARVEST (Day 93 / June 4) ######################################### ----------------------------------------------------------- GROW SUMMARY ----------------------------------------------------------- Grown in 4x4 tent - but I only used 2x2 space because of heater and dehumidification and other plants (Outlier Z). This plant used a dedicated CMH 315 light. The plant was grown in hydroponics using a custom single-site PA hydroponics clone RDWC system with Advanced Nutrients Sensi Coco line, Microbial Mass and Orca for beneficials. I also experimented with Rapid start in the RDWC system, but I didn't see explosive root growth relying on Rapid Start as an additive to the system verse using it when starting in rapid rooters which worked well. All around a pretty easy grow and things went very well. Topped twice for a mainline structure and she really spread out. Sparkling golf ball size nugs down the branches and spaced out nicely. The scent off her was like burned rubber/tires or maybe fresh blacktop. A single water change which was only performed when switching to bloom nutrients around week 7. ----------------------------------------------------------- HARVEST ----------------------------------------------------------- No dark period and no flush. On day 93 she was chopped and hung to dry. ----------------------------------------------------------- DRYING ----------------------------------------------------------- Entire plant hung upside down for 15 days. The temps were dialed in at 60F by using the S6 intake fan pulling air from the AC through intake vent on side of the tent. Humidity was dialed in at 63%/60F for 24hr, 62%/60F for the next 48hr. Then 60%/60F for the third day and onward. AC Infinity T6/S6 exhaust and intake fans were on the setting of '2' during drying until day 7, then I could turn down to a setting of '1' once the plants were not transpiring excess moisture. Trimmed on day 18. Then the jars were left open in the tent for another 12 more days for a full 30 day dry at 60%/60F while rolling the jars frequently. Also ran dehumidifier in the tent but it only ran for 1-2 minutes every hour because the AC was doing most of the dehumidification on the intake. ----------------------------------------------------------- TRIMMING ----------------------------------------------------------- Trimming was an absolute breeze. All swelled nuggets, very little sugar leafs left to trim. ----------------------------------------------------------- CURING ----------------------------------------------------------- Flower product was transferred to 1L mason jars averaging 35g of product per jar. I added a mini hygrometer to each jar and chose not to use a boveda this time. The RH averaged 62-64% when trimmed flowers went in jars. Jars were left open in the tent for a total dry time of 30 days from harvest keeping the tent at 60%/60F. Once closed, the jars were burped once a day for the first seven days, once every other day for the next seven days, rolling jars often. The burp was only for 3-5 second for air exchange until a. 62% was maintained in the jar. ----------------------------------------------------------- YIELD ----------------------------------------------------------- * Weight calculated at 62% humidity after 30-day dry and 14-day cure. ============================== FLOWER PRODUCT ============================== 180.41g (6.44oz) ============================== TRIM PRODUCT ============================== 57g (2.03oz) ** All major fan leaves, stems, and branches removed from trim product. ============================== TOTAL OVERALL YIELD ============================== Total: 238.41g (8.51oz) ============================== SPACE YIELD ============================== 238.41g / 4 sqft (2x2 canopy) = 59.60g per sqft ============================== WATTAGE YIELD ============================== 315 Watts / 4 Square Foot (3x4 canopy) = 78.75 watts per sqft. 238.41g / 315 watts = 0.76 grams per watt ----------------------------------------------------------- PRODUCT TEST ----------------------------------------------------------- Bag appeal is top-notch. Trichome covered, with aromas of that unique 'kush' you can quickly identify based on experience. Best OG Kush I've ever tried, hands down! The flavour is kushy, smoke is smooth and definitely my favorite strain in my tote of cured harvests at the moment. I can't keep my hands off of the jars. Definitely not a daytime strain, even for experienced users, although I'll use it in the afternoon when life is throwing curve balls. Put it this way....if I puff a few hours before bed, I still feel it the next morning when I peel my eyes open. No joke. I'll definitely be growing this one again, maybe even next run because I'll be sad when I run out. ----------------------------------------------------------- REGRETS ----------------------------------------------------------- Not running more of this amazing plant. ----------------------------------------------------------- NEXT RUN ----------------------------------------------------------- This was the first run at my new residence so it will take some time to get it dialed in. I had some calibration issues which are now fixed. I'm going to be shooting for 1gram per watt on the next run. ----------------------------------------------------------- FINAL THOUGHTS ----------------------------------------------------------- DarkOwl is the best autoflower I've grown yet. I'm now eager to give the Bruce Banner #3 they released a run and will surely acquire future releases from DarkOwl. ----------------------------------------------------------- THE END ----------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for checking out my diary! I typically journal in my notebook but I put some time and effort into documenting my grows on this platform in hopes it will help a new or experienced grower with their DWC journey. Any questions or suggestions are welcomed. Happy growing!
