Going really well for the first week, have given some biology to the soil to kick start everything. Will be putting a hefty top dress of castings and frass next week and then mulching with something to help moisture retention and microbial activity. Taken some tips from buildasoil on YouTube and getting a head start in order to avoid issues that I had last time around.
Never seen such explosive growth in 2 weeks! Think I'll be keeping the light schedule at 24 hours for week 1 and 20/4 from now on. Added some frass and castings and watered in with some bio wetter yucca extract. Started training yesterday and will continue to over the coming weeks. Happy with this one so far...
Been another productive week, started doing some training and removed a couple leaves that weren't getting any light at the bottom. Just been watering as necessary to keep the soil moist. Got some proper straw mulch, rather than the cardboard I was using and seeing some nice mycelium growing on the top of the soil. Just seen the first white hairs poking out so not long till she goes crazy. Couple little white flies buzzing about, but have added more sticky traps and I think that the 2 I've seen are now trapped haha. Onwards and upwards
Pre flowering has definitely started now, starting to get bigger. Have been just levelling the canopy in preparation. Top dressed now so she has everything she needs and will do again in a couple weeks or so. Watering more frequently now too. See ya next week 🙂
All cruising along so far, I've trimmed a few sucker branches off to focus energy on the bigger branches. Just watering every 3 days or so and she seems happy. Will top dress soon. See ya next week!
Stretch is finished now, all good so far...top dressed for flower so should hopefully be plain sailing from here 🤞 Did some minor defoliation but only to clean up the skirts to make watering easier.
What a difference a week makes.... always seem to get this same issue mid flower of early fading. Think I need to get a bigger pot next round to make it easier, 5 gallon just requires too much attention. Growth is really good, starting to see early frostiness and some nice stacking going on. Will be supplementing with bio bizz grow and bloom while I wait for the top dress to break down. Added a microbe tea in to help boost things but will wait to see how it goes. See ya next week!
Think I've slowed the fade down over the week but she has lost a lot of leaves. Added some bio bizz grow and bloom in to the last couple waters and seems to have helped a bit. Should be fine till the end now as it's only about 3 weeks away.
Pretty good week all in all, still lost a few more leaves but seem to have caught the deficiency before any real damage occurred. Fading has slowed and starting to recover now so all is well... probs around 2 weeks left so will be checking trichomes soon. See ya next week ✌️
Another quiet week, just waiting for her to finish now really. Fading continues but at a much slower rate, so I'm not concerned now. Just gonna ride it put til the end now. Might be another week possibly 2 to go so nearly there. No foxtailing this time round so the buds are looking much more dense and uniform. See ya next week
Finishing up now, will probably pull her on the weekend, just giving her an extra few days but she's pretty much ready to chop. Amber trichomes are slowly creeping in and should be perfect come the weekend. I'll update the harvest once everything is dry and weighed up in a couple weeks time. Peace ✌️
Had some issues along the way, but it was a nice easy plant to grow... 95 grams total, there was a little that I had early but I'm not counting that. Overall happy with the quality.
@JOE_S_GARDEN, thats funny 😆 but man I feel for ya, I've not had that issue before but I know they can be a nuisance... cold pressed neem oil and horticultural soap mix is supposed to be good for that, foliar or soil drench.
Nice plant. I'm at the same stage with mine, and the conditions are practically the same. Wishing you best results possible and a smooth grow (regarding both the taste and the process) 😃
Week 1 pics: Help me understand your week 1 growth, what actual day from day 1 of germination were the week 1 pics taken.
I am growing GG and don't understand how your plants are so huge on the first day of week 1 - how long was your germination?
Thanks!!
@dauntless, my temps were fluctuating between 25c and 26c through veg and between 60 to 70% percent humidity. Flower was 24c and 25c with 40 to 50%. Very stable with good air exchange. I do organics so I don't really bother with pH and ppms. Just water and occasionally add some bio bizz in if needed. Good luck with your grow buddy!
@Slimm, whoa, amazing. What were your stats? Like temps, Ph, PPM, CO2 whatever you know?
fwiw, Flora Nova Bloom (gone cause it whole grow) is making the ones (green gelato auto) I have at 4 weeks very happy. Amazing plants man, nice work!!!
90g for a green gelato auto is phenominal! Dry weight even looks like. Maybe I need to get some pesky flies. Perhaps they stimulate her. Hats off to you!
