Little gal just popped overnight and is ready to go! I’m going to keep the PPM to about 75ppm for a few days. Then will start to slowly add the Connoisseur lineup. Will probably get to 125ppm by end of this week.
Plant looks healthy. Root appeared in Day 10 under net pot. Looking to see some big growth over next week. Will likely not top this one as I’ll be low on tent space by time this hits flowering.
The pH was off for a few days due to my meter breaking. Plant did ok, but is looking better now that the pH is in range. It's taking nutrients well, as it was at 300ppm before I watered it down to 250ppm yesterday. Looks healthy, with great roots. Should see some explosive growht over the next week!
Plant is doing ok. I topped it at node 3 instead of 4 to see how this goes. Seems stunted a bit, though I should mention that this switched into flowering much earlier than I thought it would. I decided to tie this one down and see how it goes as an experiment.
Plant is struggling a bit - but it’s my fault. I accidentally topped it at 3rd node, and it looks like the roots had a bit of a struggle. I got it pumping with enzymes and bacteria. It’s growing well now. I did some weird training, but it’s budding! We’ll see what happens!
This plant is interesting. I topped it at 3rd node instead of 4th. It went into flowering almost immediately after recovering from that. It’s a bit spindly, and it’s stretching a ton! I’m trying to pull it down flat and get the centers to be major bud sites, too. If I could go back, I’d wait til 4th node - but for now this is going to be an experiment! Looks to be a purple phenotype... Roots look fantastic!!
I screwed this plant up early on, and it’s still creating some sweet looking purple buds. I’d like to try growing this again in the future and get it 👌 Interested to see what I get off this plant considering it’s had such a rough life...
What a pretty bud! This plant has a distinct purple hue that is obvious from even a distance. It doesn’t photograph well because my grow lights are purple too. But it’s PURPLE. This plant had a rough start due to my topping it too early. Even still, it’s grown impressively since then. I will definitely grow this again next harvest because the smell is utterly AMAZING! It smells fruity, like fruit loops or something. Very berry, very fruity. Even though I’ll get a low yield on this due to my mishaps, I cannot wait to smoke this strain!!!!
UPDATE DAY 54: I started Flushing this plant.
This plant is flushing and I plan on harvesting it tomorrow evening when I'm free. It technically went a full 8 weeks, today being day 1 of the 9th week. I could have cut her down yesterday and she would have been fine. I'm okay with a bit longer of a flush anyway. In regards to how this plant grew, if you followed my diary at all - you know that I topped this at the 3rd node instead of the 4th. It was an accident, but I learned a lot about the life of this plant by doing so. It was definitely stunted, and it was obvious the yield was limited as well. Because of that, I planted another one of these seeds and am waiting for it to pop any day now. So, look for LSD-25 journal #2 shortly! This is such a pretty flower that I want to see it at it's full potential.
What a great smelling plant! I screwed this one up by topping too early. Plant still produced 22g, and suffered from pH drift. Buds are understandably thin, but it smell so AMAZING in the jar. Tried a bit of it and am excited to smoke! I’ve got another one started already 🌱
I have pretty much the same set up going. I just started week 2. My last reading was PPM 240 before I changed the reservoir. Plants were thriving so I up'd it to 480ppm this week, which is still using nutes at 1/2 strength. My tap water is 100PPM. Good luck on the grow, I'll be following along!
@@Chi_Town_White_Boy, yeah crazy how much alike while being grown completely different! I didnt top mine this time but was thinking she wouldn't like it, going to do some serious training on her next time tho. I got 2 100watt cobs cree cxb3590 and a 100 watt quantum board in the middle. The quantum board has a wider spread so i can cut a cob out and still have okay light. I love it compared to my viparspectra, less heat, easier on the eyes also.
@RyukyuFarmer, no kidding! They almost look like the same plant! 😁 I'm going to give this strain another go. I topped at 3rd node on accident. I'm not 100% sure how much of a difference it'll make waiting til 4th node -- these plants seem to switch to flower very fast. I wonder if any topping or HST will cause low yields? Not sure. But I LOVE the smell and flavor to this bud. It's not fully cured, but it tastes great! Does your smell just like fruity berries, too? BTW - your Northern Lights kicked ass! I've got 3 ViparSpectra 300W (uses ~130w) and 1 PerfectSun MINI. I haven't done a lot of testing yet between the lights, but ViparSpectra has given me decent yields when I grow right. Do you notice a big diffference between your Vipars and your COB? And how are you doing the COB? Just ordering one at a time and powering a few of them in a custom built frame or something? I'll have to do some research on them...

I've got another one of these girls growing right now. Hoping it's another purple pheno and I can get some massive buds off her this time! 😋

@Bakelsack, sounds like an awesome start! I'm coming along with your grow as well! I love to get ideas from other growers, and there aren't a whole lot of hydro growers here compared to soil or coco. I'm using RO water, and am getting a new 20 gal tank tomorrow 😅 I'll be keeping an eye on yours to see what to expect with mine! Good luck with the grow!
