DPDP: Durban Poison Dutch Passion

Nothing much to say this week. It's the simple week. Currently residing in Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil which should have plenty of nutes for another week or two. Still moving from tent to external light source since my tent is currently flowering. The high light distance and growth below the canopy works well for seedlings. The process of adjusting the lighting has caused the seedling to bend a bit. Maybe this is like early LST. Basically the light for night time isn't directly overhead and the plant is growing into it. I'm sure it'll be fine and even out in the long run. Watering by spraybottle

Another slow week of just watering. Compared to some other grows, this seems like a tiny week 2. It's definitely because of a lack of light because I'm growing this in a flowering tent and putting it under a fairly dim light at night. I'm going for the long ride and not the fast one so this is okay. Probably will be another week in the basic pot before it's big and ready to transplant.

Still just a standard week in the seedling pot. Starting to grow its third set of true leaves and it's slowly sucking the nutes from its seedling leaves. Just water and the soil nutes in FFOF soil. Transplant to its big container coming soon.

Really starting to see the effects of how inefficient my grows have been compared to other grows at this stage. More light and more nutes is probably a good idea for me. Unfortunately I can't keep it in the grow tent all day due to flowering still going on in it. But this is week 4 and I see week 2s at the level of growth I'm at. Food for thought for next time. In response I started feeding some maxigro to give it more nutes which looked like it helped a lot. I'm going to move it to the full size pot next week.

I finally got this plant to a bigger pot. I'm not looking to rush the veg time because I have autos growing in the tent. This should get a big bushy veg while we await that. Trying out a soil/Coco blend for the first time. I've been a little hesitant towards coco at first because I liked organic growing. But I'm warming up to using salt based nutes now. Maxigro has really proven itself. The directions recommend only 2x a week feedings in soil but I'm going to go 3x since I have the coco in there. Needed to add a touch of pH up to get the solution to 6.0 ph. It was 5.5 without. This isn't the final pot, I'll be going for a 7 gal pot. Using a small pot right now because of the autos and keeping the light at a good distance. It's really impressive how much this plant grew with little light, food, or pot space. Really goes to show why dutch passion were voted top breeders here on GD. The genetics are the best I've grown yet and I'm looking forward to what this plant will do.

Not much to report on. After the transplant growth stalled for a bit as expected, but she's coming back and growing well enough. It could be faster but I'm not rushing her. She's got probably another 6 weeks of veg before the autos in the tent are done. Maxigro provides everything she needs though I'll probably switch to a more complete nutrition package coming up on flowering. You can see my plant clips that I made on my 3d printer. That's all for this week! It probably won't get interesting for a minute but the eventual flowers are gonna be so pretty :)

Pretty average week with lots of explosive growth. Topped and growth really exploded. Still doing LST with clips, I hope they are working well. No changes to nutes. Sometimes the small quantity is hard to mix. I water about 30 oz every 2-3 days. Half strength maxigro brings the pH to 5. One drop of pH up raises it to 6.2. If the drop is too big it will jump to 6.6. No need for fancy nutrients in veg, especially since this is going to be a long veg. I'll probably switch to Advanced Nutrients in flowering to get the tasty, full buds everyone talks about.
