Le cime raggiungono dimensioni notevoli durante la maturazione ma perdono molto volume durante lo stress idrico che utilizzo prima della raccolta; in compenso ottieni cime compatte e sode. Le sue dimensioni possono essere molto contenute rispetto ad una libera crescita e la perdita di prodotto è trascurabile.

Raccolta avvenuta in giornate di grande calore, specialmente nella zona di casa dedicata all'asciugatura. Viste le condizioni ha seccato per un giorno (eccessivamente secca per un solo giorno) e poi ho preferito riporla in vaso per contenere la dispersione troppo rapida di umidità. Spero di aver fatto bene. La pulizia è stata veloce in quanto la pianta ha sviluppato poco fogliame tra le cime. Ho deciso di pulirla bene prima di seccare ma non mi piace come tecnica, trovo che le cime si preservino meglio se protette dalle foglioline.

Where you have already applied LST, stop cutting. it's already growing sideways.
For the others, try both practices and then compare which one gives you better results. once topping, the other fiming. Cut after the 3 node for topping; cut the 4th node for fiming. Fiming failed for me (see my diary), so I only use topping. It's safer and works every time so far.

LST can be done at any time, Its usually best to start when the new growth is blocking the lower growth between the main stem and the fan leaf. As for topping most say to wait until you hit your 4th node. But as long as she has some nice big fan leaves to gather energy you wont be hindering her that much.
But with an auto I would recommend only LST. Topping can slow her down to much and hinder your yield.
