Nice fast Germination done in 48 hours. 3/4 seeds had close to 1" tap root, fourth had "normal" seed length tap. Into GaiaGreen Organic soil with some microriza for each seed hole and under the dome they go. 🤞Stoked to try growing this strain. Day 20 from seed, 3 are out of dome. 4th was restarted from seed 5 days ago just dropped casing yesterday. Will repot into 2 gal in a week give or take
#1-3 doing well had to take out of dome too tall hahaha.
#4 was restarted at end of last week now pushed through and dropped seed.
Repot to 2 gal next week when drying last harvest is done
Transplanted #1-3 half way through the week into their 2 gallon fabric pots. They were starting to look like they needed the new soil and nutrients and some microriza. Now under the FloraSun 400W MH along with all our food starter seeds for the garden. Gave em a good watering at transplant and still moist 3 days later will let em dry out well. Hopefully small tent will be done drying in next day or two and can get them in a better environment than my basement floor 🤦♂️. Need that higher humidity and temps!
Finally finished the run in the 4x4 and got the plants into the tent ASAP after a quick clean. Seem to be doing well, but a bit droopy near last day of the week. Might be needs water giving them some when light on today, were still slightly damp at lights on yesterday. Going to readjust the light as per grow chart photontek just released maybe they'll be happier 🤞.
Good week, plants coming in nice and healthy. With newlight, fan, and controller setup VPD Temp and RH are much more on target this grow than last. These plants are coming in super stacked! New light is keeping the growth super tight expecting good things 🤞
Topped 1-3 and are recovering very nicely.
#4 transplant roots were great and filled the 4" pot, looked like was recovered within 24 hours.
Have to defoliate this upcoming week they're getting thick!
Gotta say I love the new LED light, following their grow chart for light height and plants seem super happy.
DAY 42 did some LST on plants #1 and #3. Both had recovered very well from topping with quite a bit of new growth.
Plants are thirsty, pretty sure going to have to repot at beginning of next week watering 6L between 4 plants every 48 hours.
DAY 43 Adjusted the ties on plant #1 and #3 they're taking well to training. Plant #2 recovering well from topping 3 days ago did some LST. Defoliated #1 and #3
DAY 46 light defoliation on inside of #2 and removed lower two sets of arms on #4 leaving top 3 sets
Day 49 more defoliation for #1-3 they were already bushes back in. Starting to take their shape now.
Busy week and everyone is looking happy! Watering 10L between 4 plants every 3 days since transplant.
Day 52
Transplant day! Gaia Green Organic Living soil amended with their Worm Castings, All Purpose, Powerbloom, Superfly Frass, Basalt Rock Dust, and some microriza from Dynomyco which I sprinkle to cover bottom of hole. Also cleaned up #2 and #4 because they were super bushy.
DAY 53
All plants are looking really good after transplant. Ties were added back to plants, and added new ties to bottom half of #4 to open it up a bit. #4 is same height as other 3 despite being 2 weeks behind, shows how much topping can slow growth. Very curious to see yield differences.
Day 55
All the girls have filled back in again, very bushy so did a big defoliation. Removed inner most fan leaves and branches off each arm from all plants. Really opened up 🤞for good recovery.
Day 56
Plants are pointing up and looking happy again 12 hours after big defoliation. Already at 13" been gaining 1" per day.
These are apparently "tall plants with moderate to high stretch" according to breeder and first time growing them, so will give 1-2 days to make sure they have recovered well and then start transitioning lights to a 12 hour cycle.
First three days of the week were last days of Veg, shortened daylight by 2 hours per day for 3 days to reach 12/12 cycle. Flower started on May 30th and the first 5 days have been going well. Just making sure they have lots of water and not stressing them first week. End of week can see water intake increasing, needed to water 48 hours instead of 72 hours. Netting was installed and fans placed above light on day 4 of Flower. Will be cleaning them up a bit this week getting pretty thick LOTS of new growth. Probably start guiding through netting also to give the extra support later on.
Day 64
Good defoliation on all plants. They were bushes in pretty heavy, took off lots of fan leaves as well as inner most arms on each branch. Swelling on branches are crazy just sucking up the water. Watering every 48 hours.
Day 67
Top dressed with Powerbloom 70ml per plant before watering. Just starting to hit netting now.
Day 68
Defoliated #2 and #4 again as we're very bushy. Guiding many tops through netting on all plants now.
Day 69
Defoliated #1 and #3 again super bushy. #2 and #4 recovered well from day before.
Was a good week, had 4 days vacation away and had someone watering, looked happy upon my return so I'm guessing they followed instructions.
Defoliated at beginning of week, seems like needs to be done every 7-12 days right now to keep light/air flow.
Speaking of airflow, upgraded the ventilation early week to a 4" inlet fan with 6" outlet fan and the temp/humidity is staying within 1 of setpoint. Fans running half speed also and now light sealed tent.
Growth seems to have slowed a bit this week but still thirsty as ever as they start to form bud sites. Getting quite sticky by end of week.
Good week, top dressed each watering this week with one of the Gaia Green products each time. Can't believe it's been month already since planting in the 5 gallon pots! Removed a decent amount of inner fan leaves that were buried getting no light early in the week, didn't seem to even phase them, no drooping or slowing of water intake after. Really seeing the bud sites starting to stack. Lots of thanks goes to the upgraded light from last run, seeing huge difference in quality and runs so much cooler than HID. 26 Days into flower. No growth this week so probably done with the stretch, now time to put on weight.
Week was pretty good up until day 5 of the week when iy noticed some yellowing on leaf tips and slight curling. within a few days yellow/brown spotting. Could be too much nitrogen, possible with all the top dressing last week, or could be calcium deficiency. Top dressed with the Basalt Rock Dust day 6 of the week because I realised I forgot to while mending soil last week. Going to stop by my local shop on way home tomorrow and get their opinion. They have much experience and give out free help, no purchase necessary 👍.
So I think I've got it figured out, why the plants have been clawing and why #3 is spotting. Call it user error, "growing pains", whichever but I believe it's me overwatering and doing too much of the amendments.
Should have stuck to only top dressing maximum of 65ml TOTAL per two weeks, where I did 65ml of each amendment 🤦♂️. Now there is a hard layer of amendment built up at top of soil, every water I'm slowly trying to work it in with fingers. Then to top it off, I've been watering every two days 12l total, when last year it was every 3 days 8L total. Ment to either water every 2 @8L or every 3@12L to see if made a positive difference, doing both damn what an oops! Live and learn, next grow do better 🤞.
Otherwise #1 and 4 have great looking buds forming and #2 although the shortest looks just packed with bud. Keeping the room at 45% and 19-23°C and hoping for no more issues between here and harvest. Crystals are packing on now! Also dimmed lights to 75%. Closest buds are 6" away main canopy 12-13". Manufacturer specs are 6" min @75% for flower.
Side note, hard to believe that plant 4 is two weeks behind the other plants. It is easily as big as #1, and just as many bud sites. Can't wait to compare yeild. Difference was topped #1-3 and only did LST #4
Well it's been a great week this week, just watering when they needed and watching them finish off. All plants except #3 are going to be harvested tonight. #3 a bit behind from the shock it took but I'm sure it'll be done in next few days. Trichomes just got better and better throughout the week, now have 20-30% Reds and a good fade on a few so out they come.
Was a great grow, stay tuned for the harvest update after the dry in 5-10 days.
Total flower for #1,2 and #4 was 49 days.
Harvested #3 the next day, buds were not as developed looking, but trichomes were red and decaying so out she came. 50 days flower. This plant was badly shocked by too much top dressing and over watering (live and learn!) But still good amount of bud, see how it tastes vs other three.
Cured 2.5 weeks now, smoke is nice and smooth, hints of grape.
Got the potency test back, whopping 29% THC I'm super stoked!
Buzz comes on half way through a joint and lasted a good 3 hours. Relaxed and good painkiller.
Had some learning curves with top dressing this time and was over watering for a while, but overall had fun growing this strain and learned a lot for the next run. These plants got bushy in a hurry and did well with LST and defoliation. #2 was healthy but 10-12" shorter than the rest. Harvest went well, dried for 7 days and now curing for 2+ weeks. Integra packs in containers to help.
