These are around week 2 and have been doing very well in the solo cups with stepwell soil .. I'm using just a "EM1" as a fertilizer and also as a foiler spray .. happy with the growth and progress .
Having issues uploading photos so hopefully I can finish this diary all the way through on the platform
This is the end of week three and everyone is getting a transplant tomorrow afternoon . These Testers have been growing just fine but are getting root bound in the solo cups..
I've topped them all the other day and will clean up the big fans leaves exposing more sites to light a few days after the transplant happens .. I'm still running them under a single 150 true watt led by marshydro . They will all be getting some lst training done and the final homes will be the 5-6 gallon fabric pots that will be ran in two different soils .
One will be the stepwell soil and their ammendments but the others will be in a re amended soil that's been given a healthy boost of bokashi pro gro and some bloom once we are close to flowering time.
Everyone is doing great after being topped last week and transplanted too. These will be in those pots another week or two and then get their final homes .. no males have shown yet and one plant was lost due to a broken stem at base..
I'm running 6 plants in straight stepwell and another 5 in the recycled next gen soil. So far growth on these strains has been good and I'm liking the structure I'll be pulling with them ..
All organic grow running under the marshydro brand leds
So this is more like a week and a half at this point in the grow journal . I was able to top all the plants and they have been getting "em1" microbes with the water and foiler spray as well.
I'm happy with the growth rate and have killed 1 male and I runt . I'm down to 10 plants with no sexxing done yet. A few do look like males starting so another couple weeks and I should know for sure .. I'm eager to get these up potted this week so that the flip can come in another 3-4 weeks time ..
Organic growing with inputs that are the same .. cheers
We were looking good but things have gone down hill a bit since transplant. Once they were transfered I topped a few and started to super crop all the plants .. looking for an even canopy in this tent..
Gave them a feeding the other day and lowered the light a bit . They will bounce back over the next few weeks but dam they hurting now .. sexed 4 as female so far and killed a few males .. starting to smell in there and lots of bud sites around .
It is what it is and we just keep on trying our best ..cheers
Man I'm very happy with set up here , we he 5 females in this 3x3x6 foot tent . The biggest and healthiest plant is in straight stepwell soil . The other 4 plants are in a reused organic soil , next-gen with added "bokashi" ..
I'm honestly debating on doing the healthiest plant right in the middle and super cropping it to fit the whole tent.. The others cam go outdoors for the season ..
Besides that it's going well with minimal interruptions and issues .. We have not had hermies I killed 5 males so far and with all the stress I give them they have not skipped a best yet ..
Plants are in beast mode these pictures are like 7 days old , the app won't let me upload 9 out of 10 pictures ..
Check Instagram same handle to see up to date posts ..
Running really well , with super cropping tech . Excited to see just how big and full I can make the garden.. cheers
Well we about three days into the flower cycle when these pictures were taken .The stretch has been very evident and there are many potential bud sites here on these group of ladies . They are all in either stepwell soil or recycled next-gen soil which had been given the vegetative top dressing .
I've done lots of training which was mainly just heavy lst or super cropping to get the plant spread out and then some defoliation. In the next few weeks I'll be doing 2ay more defoliation to expose just the desired areas that I want the light to get to and all the low laying branches will be stripped of unwanted foliage..
I've been giving these plants the full stepwell soil line up and they are loving all of it . I'm very happy with these genetics and the feeding program as well.
The strain is a tester by barrie grower a breeder in Ontario.. These are strong plants which have handled much stress and honesty I stand behind his work it's been a very stable run ..
Excited to show you all just how big and dense these plants will get under the right training and feeding regiment .
Thanks for checking out my garden and following along ... most updated posts will be more in detail as we go along in the future..
We did a huge defoliation this week onmy leaving the tops that would be developed the best with direct light . No Larfy bottom buds and there are many main sites that will give me a great yield over all ..
I gave them a feeding this week with em1 and also a bloom top dressings . They are all into the second week of flower and we have 4 plants , 1 was given to a friend because he needed one and it should be fine outdoors .. I'm very haply with whole run overall , the plants are doing well into flower and I'm excited to see the next few weeks begin to full up with them buds ..
So here we are doing very well into the third week of flower. There are tonnes of bud sites and minimal lower larf , so we are well on our way towards a very solid harvest .
I'm doing the bloom top dressing and will give them a compost tea this week too..
They are not showing any male flowers and all are sexed female out of the regular seeds .
The smell is very strong and the carbon filter I have set up helps but still , outside my house wreakes of cannabis all day . I've seen what the flowers look like towards harvest and I'm eager to see if mine will be the same ..
Can't wait to see how big these colas will get.
Been a lot of solid growth in this round of flowering , the buds are getting dense and lots of tricohmes developed . I've been doing the top dressings every 6 days and they are usually praying pretty hard once those lights come on .
This strain has been doing really good with no hermies or plants showing any stress signs at all..
I'm liking the smell so far its heavy gas / skunk with some fruity tones . Lots of top buds and minimal larfy ones too..
Just gonn keep up with the watering and watching for any changes to my babies ..
What a breeze 👌 this grow has been .. From start to finish I have been just chilling with these 4 plants .. They all have a sweet , skunky smell to them and most are sticky to the touch...
We are on auto pilot mode right now .. They are all in the zone ..
Can't complain about this grow in any way .. This was my first time running buddies genetics and just wow..
Strong and resilient buggers , just crazy how well they have taken all the crap I threw at them. With out any hermies on any plant and tonnes of tops with the training I did ..
Still doing stepwell feedings and a couple compost teas as well ..
Will be hopefully harvesting soon and able to post up a smoke review and some final weights .. cheers
With the pictures never wanting to consistently load updates become next to impossible at times ..
Here we are with pictures of the 4 different plants , they are two that share same colours so two purple and two orange in nature .. They all stank like gas , skunky mix and baked goods as well .. The carbon filter does nothing for hiding the smell these last two weeks now ..
They are all very dense buds with the main tops starting to fall over from the weight of the colas . I enjoyed growing this strain very much and look forward to getting it harvested over the next 2 weeks time .. we are sitting on day 56 -60 of flower with all milky and some amber tricohmes .. I'm looking for heavy head high and body buzz so we are letting them go further yet still ..
I'll keep updated as I can and look forward to sharing the harvest ..
Just about done with this grow here , it's been an aw3some journey with a strain which is easy to grow .. I'm looking at mostly milky with some amber tricohmes..
Wow this was hands down the best strain I have grown in the last 4 years now. It honestly checked every box I had when it comes to a strain . The smoke is minty , gas , one pheno was fruity gas and they all were extra sticky and heavy hitting buds . The two phenos I liked the most had lots of minty taste on the exhale but smelled Like a skunk was in the buds . Would highly recommend this breeder and these buds for anyone that enjoys quality smoke
Over all it was one of my best grows to date in the last 4 years since I started doing this. The strain took stress extremely well and was not a huge Eating machine when it cake to nutrients .
The vegetative stage saw very stinky potential and it's honestly got so much stronger as the grow progressed .
They grew fast , dense and just potent as can be .. Definitely recommend lřŕhç
Hey there friend. Looking at your diary, Would you be alright with me offering some pointers? First off, Even though the cannabis plant CAN grow under 24/7 light they do not like it. The plant photosynthesizes & stores energy during lights on & does the majority of its growth during lights off. I would recommend at least 20/4 to give them that sleep cycle they so desperately need. So cannabis plants LOVE heat and humidity. It is the buds that hate it. In veg we want to take advantage of this fact to help our plants grow along much quicker and more vigorously. In veg we can look for temps of 79-84 MAX with lights on & no more than 9 degrees less with lights off. If we allow for too much temperature swing between lights on and lights off while the plant is still growing vertically up to day 20 of flower, We will cause the plant to stretch ALOT which we do not want. So in veg & early flower, Keeping our temperature gaps nice and close between lights on and off is key. Utilizing humidity in our rooms during veg will also help out a lot with more rapid growth but we must introduce it properly. In our rooms we have our temperature and humidity set-points, But when we combine those 2 it forms a third set-point which is the most important & that is called VPD, Vapor pressure deficit.
I strongly recommend every new grower or old grower who has not learned it yet, To study and understand it & implement it into your room, Logging your numbers daily.

For soil, We generally want to go for a PH of 6.1. 7 is getting up there out of the sweet spot
This website does a GREAT job of illustrating it with a nice graph & very good detailed explanation for soil.

As we briefly touched on before, During veg & early flower we want our temperature gap's nice and tight to avoid stretch. Why exactly our plants stretch in response to this is a genetic trigger being activated by the environmental stress essentially telling the plant the end of the season is closer than it really is. In veg & early flower the plant is still in its first stage of development which is to grow up wide and tall so when it produces seed, It can cast them out nicely. Remember, Whether we are growing our plants for seed or bud their genetic responses do not change as they gh sidedo not know any different. Once the plant has finished that first stage of growth by weeks 4-6 of flower with most strains, It is by day 20 of flower. Autoflowers you have to watch for it, But once the plant has finished this goal its new mission is to focus 100% on producing nice big flower clusters & to get very sticky so it can attract pollen to it successfully.
So once that vertical growth is finished, We actually now want to begin to expose our plants to larger temperature swings between lights on and lights off. This will help activate that genetic response and allow us to draw out the most potential from the strain utilizing the plants genetic triggers to environmental stresses at the right times. We can also take this a step further with doing light deprivation in the last 2 weeks using less light to simulate cloud cover. Very cold feed temps on the last flush is very good too. If you do not have them already, Get yourself a good PAR meter & thermal laser temp gun to monitor your plant top temperatures & optimize how much light your plants are getting. We are currently in the middle of producing a very comprehensive tutorial series for everybody to learn from & understand how to grow the highest level craft cannabis all on their own.
