Not a bad start. I put them in paper towel method on April 2nd and 9 out of 10 seeds sprouted. I’ve got the last seed still in towel so we’ll see.

So the big issue this week was that the plants became leggy. I carefully replanted them deeper in the pot. Not having a proper grow light will cause issues but the sun is doing it’s job. The seedling that didn’t pop finally has so all my seeds successfully germinated. I had a seed stuck on the leaves so put saliva ( good enzyme) on it every day till I managed to gently pop it off.

The plants remain leggy and grew a good inch or more this week. I have added some support to some of them but always get nervous handling the stem. I also overwatered a bit this week as the leaves were droopy. So will have to tone down a bit. Fan is on 24/7 to harden the plants.

All 10 plants seem strong and between 3.5” to 5”. Leaves are getting big and I have 4 on all of them. I will nurse them along for another week then consider transplanting to bigger pots. Not really keen to do that though. I have been watering every second day.

So most of the plants are reaching 6”. There is one with a red stalk that seems a bit stunted. No real complaints or worries as they seem strong.

What is this little surprise? Do I have another viable plant or is this just a cotyledon? Also, when transplanting, do I bury the existing cotyledon on the stalk? Thanks!

Yes you can occasionally get 2 plants from 1 seed. But one will dominate the other, so if it happens its best culling the weaker on early on so they don't fight for space. Looking at yours it looks more like contaminated soil with a different seed. I would remove the little one so it doesn't take away nutrition from the actual cannabis plant. Hope this helps.

So the best plant is now 7” and the runt of the litter is 3”. The little one is under some stress but still alive so I’m hoping it will rebound when she goes outdoors in a couple of weeks. I will use only solo cups next year and not the peat pots.

I transplanted all 10 plants this weekend. Keeping them in the shade first couple of days. I used Promix HP, a scoop of Perlite, 4 scoops of worm castings and 10 tablespoons of Gaia Green All Purpose nutes in 7 gallon pots. That is about a 1/3 of the recommended dosage of Gaia Green but I figure that the Promix is somewhat pre charged and the plants are still very small for a full charge. Also the worm castings should help as well. I’m on a water regime of 2 cups every 3 days for the 1st week. So May 28th is a big day for these ladies!

This week I topped this biggest plant. It looks really sad now but hopefully will rebound in another couple of days. Some of the others could use it as well but I will wait a bit. The Strawberry Banana Cheese is not as hardy as the Banner. This little one is alive but stalk not getting any thicker.

We had a lot of rain this week and despite me putting them under the table, they got soaked. It doesn’t seem to have hurt them though. I have topped 5 plants and FIM the other. I don’t think the fim is going to take. The Bruce Banner 3 is by far out performing the SBC. They may have root lock. I’m going to try to flush one and then let it dry out to see if it helps.

They all seem to be doing well. The topped plants are thriving and the FIM doesn’t seem to take. The pots got so waterlogged last time that I have barely watered them. The plan this week is to add Gaia Green All purpose to three of them then then bring them up North. It’s a week early so I will have to bring strong ones.

Really happy with the results this week. The tallest plant is 17” and the runt of the litter is 9” and slowly coming back to life after I moved it from the 7 gallon pot to 1 gallon. Will think about putting it back in the 7 gallon next week. All plants received Gaia Green All Purpose last week. 1 tablespoon per gallon of the pot. Two plants ( 1 sbc and 1 bb3) transplanted to ground this week at friends. Will be interesting to see growth and quality difference and harvest.

Still doing well. I’m starting to realize that we don’t get enough sun in the backyard so really only getting 5 hours of solid sun a day. Nothing I can do about that. Keeping an eye out for pests. There are some white spots on some of the leaves. May have to spray with a natural treatment or insecticidal soap.

They are all healthy. Sprayed the small SBC with Safers Insectcial Soap as it show slight signs of spider mites. We had severe thunderstorms and hail warnings last night so I put them in the garage a couple of hours before dark. Today a couple of plants might be showing signs of flowering?? Too early I think.

Well all doubts are erased. They are definitely flowering. I am having some WPM issues with the small SBC. Will probably spray with a milk water mixture this week. Hopefully the real humid days are past us now. Also, one plant seems to be holding water and the lower fan leaves are drooping a bit. Going to let her really dry out and assess from there.

Don’t know if last weeks comments will take, but they are definitely flowering. Having WPM issues with the SBC so I sprayed with a 13 milk to 2/3 water solution. Worked like a charm. Today, August 18th, I added 7 tbls of Gaia Green Power Bloom per pot and one cup of worm castings per pot and gave them a good watering. Really happy with the results so far.

3 plants are doing well. There was a heavy rainstorm one day and a few after that. One plants two stalks bent over and are gradually bending back to straight. The big problem this week is the small SBC. After applying nutes, the fan leaves are turning orange yellow and Mouldy at the tips. I have removed a lot of damaged leaves but more come every day. Was hoping the rain would have gave her a good flushing but getting bad. Also, same plant gets PMD. Milk solution works great though.

Need some advice please. I added organic dry bloom nutes to a 7 gallon pot a week ago. Since then, a lot of the fan leaves have turned yellow and brown. I have picked a lot off but more come everyday. The question is what can I do now?

High Hammersmiff, This is nutrient burn caused by overfeeding. You need to flush out the nutrients with a good flush of your soil. For this flush just follow these steps: You can do this flushing by slowly pour water pH 6.2 onto the top of the soil, allowing it to drain freely from the bottom of the pot. Pour slowly, so the water doesn't overflow from the top of the pot. Use approximately four times the pot's volume in water to flush the soil. For example, use 1 gallon of water for a 1 quart pot. After the flushing you need to let the soil (almost) dry out completely. From there you can start giving water with pH 6.2 and nutrients but do not exceed EC 1.5. When you do not have a EC meter use only 50% of what they advice on the nutrients bottle they are not specially made for cannabis! She is looking beautiful just need less nutrients and everything will be okay! Happy Growing! 😋

The plants seem to have stopped growing with 74” being the tallest one. I flushed the small SBC and determined through this site that it was nutrient burn. Kinda wish I flushed her more but it has slowed down a bit. Lots of removal of the small leaves. Buds overall are getting big. Happy days!

A lot of changes this week. PMD has overtaken 3 of my plants. I chopped off a ton of leaves from the small SBC. What is left was what I hoped was huge buds but they do not appear to have many white pistols?? I harvested one Bruce Banner due to PMD. Tricomes appeared to be milky white. Really hope to drag these along till Thanksgiving will probably chop before that.
