-SOAKING SEEDS STARTED AT 4:15PM on 4/2/22
All of them sank by the next day with a little stirring of the water - most of them were floating before I stirred the water then they sank & stayed underwater.
-PLANTING SEEDS STARTED AT 6PM on 4/3/22
Seedling Starter Soil:
1 Coco Coir Block (hydrated with 12cups aquarium water)
About 5 cups Vermiculite
4Tbsp Down To Earth Starter Nutrients
Mycorrhizal Fungi Spring Water - watering the hole with mycorrhizal before planting seed & then again after planted.
-AFTER THE FIRST SPROUT ON 4/5/22
Turned on seedling clip light to blue only, dimmest setting @ 20%. Keeping light on for 18/6 6am-12pm
- 4/6/22 INCREASED BLUE ONLY SEEDLING LIGHT TO 50%
It seems like they were slightly stretching for light **watch for light burn on cotyledon leaves**
-4/7/22 MORNING INCREASED BLUE ONLY SEEDLING LIGHT TO 100%
The plants are stretching even more I increased light to full 100%, it'll have to keep an eye on them & make sure they don't get light burnt or topple over from reaching
-4/7/22 AFTERNOON SWITCHED LIGHT TO GIIXER
The two tallest plant cotyledon started to droop to the side so I didn't want to take a risk continuing to try the clip light only on blue @ 100%. I have the Gixxer on only veg at a distance of 10" away from the tops of the cotyledon leaves. I also cracked the lid & put an oscillating fan on low just to give them a tiny bit of movement to strengthen their stems because they'll be tall and weaker with stretching.
*I tried using a new seedling light & it was a failure - they are now stretching due to that light. I switched back to my trusted seedling light & hoping they'll be back on track.*
I filled the nursery bags up with soil to the top to bury more of the stretched stem for stability. I moved the light up to 14 inches above canopy to prevent light burn, they're growing bigger everyday.
The true leaves are coming in nicely 🤗🌱
It's doing well & I can see small spots of mycorrhizal fungi on top of the soil so I know the roots must be loaded with them!
They're lagging a little from the transplant, hopeful next week we'll see their growth spurt starting.
She seems to be one of the healthiest of the bunch.
Her leaves are grow-ing! She has the most leaves of all the babies. She's definitely ready to soak up all that light. She's not getting much taller very quickly but growing more horizontally. She'll be staying indoors with me.
Still growing leaves nicely. She's already looking beautiful, I think this is going to be a pretty girl.
I've had several different GSC flowers and they've all hit a little differently, I'm interested to see how this one will hit - granted she gives me flower.
She's been the bushiest plant so far. I'm excited for this girl.
I topped and defoliated every plant. I'm trying to form them into canna-bushes. Hopefully I'm doing the correct training procedures to make them all grow that way both indoors and out.
She just gets bigger everytime I see her. I'm excited to watch her grow into what will hopefully be, a beautiful flower filled plant.
I topped every bud site on every plant, both indoors & outdoors.
These girls are doing well, all handling the training well. They are bushing out nicely, I think I will be flipping to flower soon but after a solid defoliation.
They're really starting to bush out, I think I'm liking the topping of all tops on the whole plant 1 time. Makes it easy to train as well. We'll see how they compare in harvest amount to my LST long veg plants.
Getting bushier much faster than I expected compared to my last grow with only LST training versus topping this time.
I had to move them from the smaller 4x4 tent into the bigger closet..
These are bushing out much faster than my LST only grow just before this one. I'm liking how all of the topped tops are growing out. They are bushing out so much that only 4 plants will fit in the grow space.
These have been growing nicely, healthy little indoor bushes. I'm really liking the combination of topping all tops & LST - I think from now on this will be my go-to growing technique.
@Cyrusdavirus, 😹 yeah she knows she's not suppose to touch it - she's only allowed to look - she slowly reached out & touched it, then looked at me like uh-oh I'm in trouble?!
@@@David369, exactly😂. Nothing like a good variety of calm, energizing, colors, smells - hopefully the sprinkles (trichomes) will be abundant😁
Thanks, I only use nursery cloth bags for the babies, I definitely won't get root rot & nice air for their roots to grow fast.
@Ratch33, ohh you're fine, you take care of you first. No biggie if you don't have time, I didn't expect anyone to reach out like that, I appreciate it. I'm lagging behind too. I have pics & videos just need to post.
@cheetah844,
4ft = 1,2m ∴ Should work out Perfectly!!
My girls are exactly 1,0m tall - into week 7 of reproductive. I'll update my diary soon!! I'm going to try my upmost best to draught a proper visual guide on how I go about my training. Sorry for taking so long to respond. I'll try to be more active. Hope all is well my buddy!
@Ratch33, I'm looking to keep these around 4ft tall (to keep under fence height). Want to get them to a diameter of 3+ft. Looking to keep them like a bush.
I spotted the kitty! Is it ok to let cat's on top of the tent like that? My cat Rascal wants up there bad but I block it with plastic plant trays and tissue boxes for fear of him knocking the whole thing over. Surprised he hasn't tried climbing it yet... 😄
@@@David369, thank you. It makes it much easier for me to grow with more areas. I'm starting garden vegetables as well so I have extra space to easily access.
@@@David369, I was hesitant to let them up there at first as well because of the exhaust fans (blades & kitty paws). I put charcoal filters sheets on the exhaust so it's kitty safe, just incase.
The tents are so big that they wouldn't fall over unless you have a tiger 🐅😂. They're both rated to hold over a 100lbs & there's only about 15lbs in lights & fans hanging inside. There's no air intake up there, the intake near the floors are covered with a filter screen as well so no hair winds up in there.
I used to block it as well but I gave in. So far she's the only one that's been up there that I have ever seen.
@Bullfrog39, Sweet I'll check it out.
I've had several different GSC buds from various places & they all were a little different from each other... Time to see what pheno I have
@Jay84lawrence, thank you so much! I'm always constantly learning too from personal mistakes & others triumphs. So many bright ideas & techniques from everyone on here
@Cyrusdavirus, thanks. They started out a little rough - stretching, due to the inferior light. But I buried them a little deeper & they'll sprout roots out the sides.
