My 3rd Grow I am going back to Auto Flower. With 153 days on my Non Auto's last grow, I need a grow in half that time. I went with Crop King Seeds. I learned about Crop King Seeds from Grow420Guide on youtube. So far they have Germinated 100% and these Jack Herer Auto's are no different. Day #5 they had all germinated in the HP Pro Mix using PH'ed RO water only. No Nutes yet. I will be switching up from Remo nutes on my first 2 grows to Advanced Nutrients for this grow. Looking forward to these Girls growing with the new nutes, Topping, and may try LST this grow for the 1st time.
Happy Pre-420 Growers!
The 4 Little Jack Herer Girls are doing great with the move to Advanced Nutrients. I am mixing 4 Liters at a time using 25% of recommended Advanced Nutes.
The girls are taking 2 Liters per feeding. Hit heavy 1st feeding, vacuum up the excess, wait 15 minutes, then finish up the 2 liters. Girls are responding good to this routine. Feed every other day as the small grow pots dry out quickly. Keeping the Phytomax-2 420 Watt Light at 21 Inches where the IR & UV spectrums are doing great in not burning the leaf tips. So far neither is the Advanced Nutes. Running in Tent Humidifier at 60% Humidity. Looking forward next week to moving to 5 Gallon Pots.
My week #2 was wiped out from Growdiaries when I did week 3. Week 2 had the Humidity lids taken off and the girls all growing. Used 25% Of the recommended Advance Nutrients schedule. I add the Nutrients to the RO Water and PH to 6.0, PPM .4 and Temp at 69.
Week #3 was continued Veg grow for the 4 Jack Herer Auto flowers. Still feeding 25% of the Advanced Nutrient line but dropped the Voodoo Juice as directed and doubled the Sensi Grow A+B. So far very happy no nutrient burn.
Week 4 started with Transplanting into the 5 Gal Vivosun Square Smart Pots. I sought these out as I am in a 2.5 x 2.5 Tent and these takes full advantage of the space more than round pots.
I RO Watered with 25% Nutes in with 24 Liters then vacuumed up the massive run off.
Day 25 I did my only Topping of the girls. Not 100% sure on if the tops will work on these Hack Herer Auto's but I gave it a try.
Day 27 I purchased a RoHS Soil Tester from Amazon, and tested the PH in my HP Promix to be at 7.0. Therefore on my next Feeding I will drop the PH from 6.0 to 5.5 in order to get the PH in the Substrate down form 7.0 to 6.5 or 6.0 at best.
Overall the Girls are growing Wide and not Tall. 5, 5, 6, & 8 inches at the end of week 4. Black Dog LED teaches that wider is better as you get more light on more of the plants.
Cheers!
Week 4 the girls continued to grow. Especially WIDE! I upped the Nutrients from 25% to 29% of recommended Advanced Nutrients.
At this point in my grow, I am not 100% sold on Advanced Nutrients. Remo seemed to have better growth however, I did not grow Jack Herer Auto with Remo Nutrients. Advanced is NOT Yellowing the leaf tips as Remo tended to do. So I will push it to maybe 35% Advaned Nutes next feeding tomorrow.
Day 31 Fed with 29% Nutrients. Up from 25%. Still no Yellow Tips
Day 33 I Defoliated all the girls.
My Jack Herer #4 which is front right in the pics, does not look like the other Jack's. I am thinking this may be a different strain. Not 100% sure yet, but I am watching it closely like all the girls.
The Auto's have finally started to go into flower on day 42., which is the end of week 6.
I have been feeding 37% of the recommended Advanced Nutrients with good results from all the girls.
Toward the end of the 6th week they started to smell. Sooo good!
Jack Herer #1 in the front left is using more nutes than the rest, so I have been feeding more.
On Day 39 I did a big defoliation of Fan leaves, but by day 42, they all but came back! My Weeds are growing Like Weeds! Yee Haw!
Next feeding I am moving to Flower Nutes.
Week 7 brought my Jack Herer #4 out as a Mutant. In my talk with Black Dog LED Support, they too believe it is a mutant.
In flower I am now running 12 Liters of RO water with Advanced Nutrients ay 37.5% Strength. Also using SLF-100 weekly to help with Nutrient absorption.
Continuing to PH the Feed to 5.6 due to the Medium PH at 7.0. Trying to get this down a little.
Day 43 - Fed 1st Flower Nutrient & Major Defoliation
Day 47 Fed 2nd week Flower nutes and noticed Jack Herer #4 not looking right. I thought it may be a male but Black Dog LED Support confirmed no Pollen Sacks. However, I am eagle eying the plant to ensure no pollen. I will remove immediately if I see even a spec of pollen sack formation
Overall budding is slow and I may move from 18/6 to 12/12 to help. Lets see how next week looks.
Week 8 I saw the flower not growing as fast as I have hoped so on Day 55 I switch from 18/6 to 12/12 LED. My #4 Jack Herer strain is not showing any pollen or sacks, but its a Mutant with no bud formation. Perhaps the 12/12 will do something for this Mutant!
Day 50 Fed 12 Liters of RO & the Advanced Nutrient at 37% of recommended.
Day 53 I decided to up the feeding to 18 Liters of RO switching the nutes from Voodoo and Big Bud to B-52 and Big Bud per Advanced Nutrients feed chart.
I am keeping a very good eye and inspecting my Mutant Jack Herer in hopes that it starts budding in the 12/12 lightcycle.
The other 3 Girls are growing slow. Not sure if it is the Strain or Advanced Nutes.
Week 9 has my buds in the early growing stage. Running Big Bud and Voodoo Juice from Advanced Nutrients.
Day 57 did my 1st Major Flush 4 + 4 = 8 Gallons of RO Water. Added SLF-100 (.5/Gallon) for my Flush. I forgot to measure the Runoff for PH & PPM.
Day 59 I left the light off by mistake but picked right back up day 60 with no issues.
I am still running 12/12 Light since Day 56. The Auto's (Including the Mutant) flipped right into flower. They all loved the Flush!
Week 10 started with a Big feeding of the girls. Moving to the final trimester and adding Advanced Nutrients Overdrive to really give the girls a Big Push!
Day 64 - Fed 18 Liters of RO Water with Nutrients. Included Bloom A=B, B-52, and Overdrive. Running about 37% of recommended from Advanced Nutrients calculator. Ran SLF-100 to help keep the roots clean from added nutrients.
Day 69 - Fed 20 Liters of Nutrients at 37% of recommended. Finally got 15-20% runoff. Vacuumed up the tent from all the runoff.
Day 70 - Noticed a couple of Amber Trichomes on my #1 Jack Herer Auto.. Not on the Mutant which is lagging behind.
The Girls cola's are fattening up a little but still need more to go. They all seem to respond well to Big Flushes and Big Nutrient feedings at 37%. Still No Burned Leave tips!
As Week 11 winds down they girls are all telling me we are getting close to pre harvest. Paying specific attention to the Trichomes, I am seeing mostly milky on the 3 of the 4 Jack Herer Auto's. My #4 Mutant is not there yet, and I will probably not harvest at the same time as the other 3.
Day 74 I fed with 16 Liters on Advanced Nutrients using 31.25% of the recommended. Still No Burnt Leaf ends that Remo gave at this point in my first 2 grows using 25% of the recommended.
Day 76 spotted the first of the Milky Trichomes.
Overall keeping this grow bushier and less defoliated than prior grows
Hopefully the Girls will tell me Harvest time next week.
Week #12 covers days 78 - 84 from Seed to Soil.
On Day 78 I fed 12 Liters over the 4 Girls at 37% of recommended Advanced Nutrients. Bloom A+B, B-52, and Overdrive.
Day 80 I fed Jack Herer #3 & #4 (Mutant) 6 More Liters of Nutrients. They became lighter sooner than #1 & #2.
Day #82 & #83 I started to see some Ambering of the Trichomes. I want to see about 25% Ambering before I start my Pre Harvest Flush and Lights Out - Lights out London! UFO
Day 84 Fed 16 Liters of RO Nutes with 31.25% of the recommended Bloom A+B, B-52 & Overdrive and SLF-100 PH 5.6, 1.0 PPM and 69 Degrees - Few more Amber Trichomes!
It is getting to be the time for final flush. My 1st Grow of Northern Lights and Candy Cane Auto's with Remo Nutrients went 67 days from seed to harvest with Ambering Trichomes. Jack Herer Autos with Advanced Nutrients are blowing past that. Looking forward to the Yields.
This grow has been very educational and new. Change in Nutrients and Grow Style by only defoliating once. Very dense harvesting.
I used 4 Crop King Seeds Jack Herer Autos. My #4 plant did not look anything like the other 3. It grew out more like a Gelato plant. While harvesting it smelled of Grapefruit! Wonderful Plant to Harvest!
For Drying I am using my Black Dog Kit again with putting all buds on drying discs in the Tent. I then exhaust out humidity >60%. Being it is in the middle of summer, I run a dehumidifier in front of the Fresh Air Intake into the tent. That helps keep the Humidity below 60%.
