I'm here to help so that take anything I say in a bad way because I know you're new to growing cannabis.
I don't know your budget and your full intentions but I will provide my honest opinion.
The plants looks very healthy. Now you have a serious problem concerning your growth rate. At 5 weeks from sprout your plants should be upwards of 20 inches minimum without topping. The issue im seeing can due to a lot of reasons but there are the most important:
1. Strength of the grow light- ensure there is enough PAR for photosynthesis to increase and gain plant size
2. You are using soil but it looks like pro-mix or another potting soil. These are usually barren mediums so a good fertilizer is necessary BUT you need the help of microbes to develop a good root zone. This increases plant size dramatically and will aid in photosynthesis as well.
3. Nutrients - cannabis plants are very greedy tbh. I start feeding my plants on a light mixture of nutrients from the day they sprout (if using organic potting mix you won't need to feed them for the first week of life or so) my advice since you are new is to get a nutrient line from Advanced Nutrients. Get their pH Perfect line and it will eliminate alot of problems with feeding.
So in short I would say to get a better light, add microbes to your medium and start feeding them with a good nutrient line.
Lights - amazon has a million different types. Look for one with full spectrum and IR and 660 NM
Microbes - Great White Mycorrhizae, URB naturals or Real Growers Recgarge
Nutrients - advanced nutrients Sensi Grow A&B...........Sensi Bloom A&B.
By just this you will have a good grow and harvest. After you harvest you can add some things like terrine enhancers etc but for now keep it simple and achieve a good harvest.
Hope I didn't write too much. I love growing and helping others grow so I hope this helps you out bro 👊🏽
Nice - your plants look great. What latitude are you at? My guess is that you’re in southern BC somewhere. I’ve mostly avoided photoperiods thinking they won’t work here (Edmonton) but with force flowering they can be made to work. Cheers and good luck the rest of the way.
@Northern_Ent, im acculy in ontario inbetween montreal and ottawa.....tempretures now at night are around 13 degrees and a little warmer in the day people around here harvest usualy beginning to mid october but ya the cold triggers the flowering rather then the amount of light.....it does get darker a little earlier round septemeber and october maybe about a hour or so earlier.... during summer they get light from about 5:45 am-830-9pm and around 6am-7:00pm in septemeber october....
Nice. Actually very impressive. I hope the weather there has cooperated for the harvest. Here in western Canada it’s been great cannabis weather since July so probably lots of record harvests happening this year.
