-SOAKING SEEDS STARTED AT 4:15PM on 4/2/22
All of them sank by the next day with a little stirring of the water - most of them were floating before I stirred the water then they sank & stayed underwater.
-PLANTING SEEDS STARTED AT 6PM on 4/3/22
Seedling Starter Soil:
1 Coco Coir Block (hydrated with 12cups aquarium water)
About 5 cups Vermiculite
4Tbsp Down To Earth Starter Nutrients
Mycorrhizal Fungi Spring Water - watering the hole with mycorrhizal before planting seed & then again after planted.
-AFTER THE FIRST SPROUT ON 4/5/22
Turned on seedling clip light to blue only, dimmest setting @ 20%. Keeping light on for 18/6 6am-12pm
- 4/6/22 INCREASED BLUE ONLY SEEDLING LIGHT TO 50%
It seems like they were slightly stretching for light **watch for light burn on cotyledon leaves**
-4/7/22 MORNING INCREASED BLUE ONLY SEEDLING LIGHT TO 100%
The plants are stretching even more I increased light to full 100%, it'll have to keep an eye on them & make sure they don't get light burnt or topple over from reaching
-4/7/22 AFTERNOON SWITCHED LIGHT TO GIIXER
The two tallest plant cotyledon started to droop to the side so I didn't want to take a risk continuing to try the clip light only on blue @ 100%. I have the Gixxer on only veg at a distance of 10" away from the tops of the cotyledon leaves. I also cracked the lid & put an oscillating fan on low just to give them a tiny bit of movement to strengthen their stems because they'll be tall and weaker with stretching.
*I tried using a new seedling light & it was a failure - they are now stretching due to that light. I switched back to my trusted seedling light & hoping they'll be back on track.*
I filled the nursery bags up with soil to the top to bury more of the stretched stem for stability. I moved the light up to 14 inches above canopy to prevent light burn, they're growing bigger everyday.
The true leaves are coming in nicely 🤗🌱
It's doing well & I can see small spots of mycorrhizal fungi on top of the soil so I know the roots must be loaded with them!
One of the shorties of the bunch, I have to say Northern Lights is my favorite smelling strain (or at least the flower I just finished). I'm hoping she'll smell the same.
She's staying shorter, that's her genetics -good old NL. Very excited for the strain, the flower that I currently have is my favorite smelling strain ever. I hope this phenotype smells like that. It's one of those strains that you keep smelling over and over again, it just keeps luring me back with that beautiful smell.
Coming along nicely, staying short & stout. I've had NL flower that smelled unbelievably beautiful & it was a great night time relaxing strain. I hope this one is similar
She's staying short & bushy naturally but I still topped & defoliated.
I topped and defoliated every plant. I'm trying to form them into canna-bushes. Hopefully I'm doing the correct training procedures to make them all grow that way both indoors and out.
I topped every bud site on every plant, both indoors & outdoors.
This one's staying nice & short for me.
I can't wait to smell her beautiful aroma when she is in flowering.
These girls are doing well, all handling the training well. They are bushing out nicely, I think I will be flipping to flower soon but after a solid defoliation.
They're really starting to bush out, I think I'm liking the topping of all tops on the whole plant 1 time. Makes it easy to train as well. We'll see how they compare in harvest amount to my LST long veg plants.
Getting bushier much faster than I expected compared to my last grow with only LST training versus topping this time.
I had to move them from the smaller 4x4 tent into the bigger closet.
These are bushing out much faster than my LST only grow just before this one. I'm liking how all of the topped tops are growing out. They are bushing out so much that only 4 plants will fit in the grow space.
These have been growing nicely, healthy little indoor bushes. I'm really liking the combination of topping all tops & LST - I think from now on this will be my go-to growing technique.
@@BodhiBuds, thanks I appreciate it. It looks visually pleasing now 😍 once flowering stretch hits it won't be so uniform though. But I get to watch the beautiful buds form 💚
@@@@@@bon_gg, Appreciate it, it's not my idea I found it while doing research but I've always been interested in topping all of the tops across the whole plant. Figured it's time to get it & see. I only LST & defoliated my last grow keeping them around the same height as this grow. Haven't had to LST nearly as much and it's bushing out much more than I thought much more than LST alone.
@@@HAPPYWEEDS, thank you, it's been many long months. Now we are packing to move so all grow equipment is packed up, hope to be back up and growing indoors by this winter. Crazy ride lately
