This one one of my first ever grows and I'm bringing it back, this time I'm trying my hand at an outdoor grow. Its being started indoors as its still gets cold at night and I will move it outdoor permanently around mother's day, hopefully all goes well.

My last time growing this she was pretty tall before I flipped her and this one is already on node 4 I believe after 1 week so I'll take it. I've been giving more water than nutes right now and will take her outside for some sun as soon as we get another day in the upper 60's low 70's, nothing like free PAR. Won't transplant until about week 3 as I don't want to train much in this 1 gallon.

So I'm getting a crash course in outdoor growing and its been very knowledgeable. So to clarify the plant isn't burning at all, that's caused by putting the plant on the roof for an hour and the wind and slight cold 61F going up to 69F destroyed the fan leaves and cause this to the leaves. It happened on the Purp also, the only positive of any is the main branch is stiff as hell. They say the final frost of the winter is prior to mothers day and that's the weekend to plant outdoors, that's a lie. I'll keep them inside until memorial weekend or so or until the low is in the 60's

Transplanted the plants out of the 1 gallon into 12 gallon fabric pots and stared training. The Runtz is side branching minimal and I decided to top the plant. Temp got up to 90F 32C degrees ovee the Weekend, leaves curled in as expected but it kept them nicely watered so no wilting. Pulled down the entire tree so the side branches can enjoy some free PAR. Just going to continue training until she flips in early August, let's see if I can get 1.5-2lbs fingers crossed

Had to bring them inside for a few days due to bad weather, these pics are the first day back outdoors. Did some more training today and also foliar fed for the first time, wanted to include this into my regiment for outdoor since I don't have to wait until 12am for lights out. She's responding very well to everything far, found some spider mites starting to colonize and I did 2 need treatments in a 3 day span and that took care of it for now because they always come back.

Didnt have to train the branches much this week as its growing into a nice rounded bush, just want the branches to get to the edge of the pot and shoot upward. Left them outside to fend off the rain this week and after the rain I swore they look better than they were before and it poured for about 2 days. During the late afternoon when it didn't rain I foliar fed my special sauce since it made no sense to root drench. It's a great feeling knowing you're getting crazy sunlight and canopy penetration for free. I noticed alot of outdoor growers don't really train their plants but I'm not them so I've got 2 more months of training before the light schedule changes.

I got a little too rough with her while I super cropped her 2 mains this week and snapped it, not a big deal as its already healed and on its way back up. The snap and the way the plant looks in the pic are within 24hrs or less, my plan is to keep these plants very short as possible. They're on the roof getting direct sunlight so it has the opportunity to get outta hand very rapidly. At this point they're about 1.5ft (.5m) with all the training done, without it the plant is about a ft taller than where its at. Haven't gone heavy on the nutes as im trying to be very careful with this outdoor grow.

Doubled the nutes this week, ive never followed the feeding chart because the regular feedings were enough. Since I'm outside and i figured I'd give it more to work with since I am trying to pull an obscene number with the size pot I'm working with and veg time. The nodes on the side branches are sort of reluctant to stretch out, same are big enough to train many aren't but nothing that should concern me. Had some crazy high winds today, I called that free training.

Plants have fully recovered from the wind stress and looking healthy. Did more defoliating and training but at some point soon I'll scale back on the amount of training and let the plant just go. Had to up the feedings another liter after it rained and the plants still needed more, today's is about 31C so if they droop by noon-1p then I know its still not enough. This outdoor business is a lot of trial and error when dealing with high UV index

Doubled the nutes and the plant grew 8" in a week span and its not in flower. I may have to transplant to 20 gallons next week if it is measured around 40". I did a lot of defoliating to get rid of some huge fan leaves covering up bud sites and I also trained a lot. She is very wide and almost 3ft tall with a lot of pulling down, I'm very pleased

To put what you're seeing into perspective the plant literally grew 12 inches IN A WEEK!!!it went from 30" to 40" on july 8th 2022 then it grew another 2" from the 8th to the 9th which is today. No its not stretching because the light schedule doesn't change until the end of the month and it's showing zero signs if bloom. If it continues at this rate I'm going to have to super crop a lot or pray to baby jesus for safe passage.

Woke up and realized one of my branches was a tad wobble but alive and well, disturbed it and it quickly wilted. The branch was trained a lil too much and High winds snapped it, Its not completely detached so I'm trying desperately to save it. Plant grew 8" this week which is down 4" from last week with 2 more weeks to go of veg. Hoping to get her to 5 ft before the flip with all this training

Plants appeared to have flipped last week and looking good, the weather has been very terrible the last week and more with temperatures hitting 32C+ daily. Plants are wilting from the heat and lack of water during the day while I'm at work so I hope the weather relaxed soon, I am feeding the plants a total of 3-4 gallons a day with 2 gallons in the morning and 1-2 gallons after work.

Strong winds the night before or an animal I believe snapped another significant branch, the branch was trained out and I think a strong gust got it. I stopped training because I lost some branches prior in the wind so I really don't know how this happened

Plants took a tumble while I was at work and came home to everything laying on the ground like a robbery. I also learned that my plants wasn't burning but in fact when the tree hit the deck the 33C heat and the roof torched the leaves. The vertical growth is slowing as it only grew 4" in the week so far, next summer hopefully I will use 20 gallons and not 12. Just solid knowledge for next year as I wanted all 3 tree to hit around 6ft after the stretch and all the training. Lost a few main branches on this plant so idk how realistic 1.5lbs is at this point

Had a much better time over the weeks with this plant, I used filled buckets and a cinder block to brace the plant and its stayed upright. She's flowering heavy and is smelling very smelly compared to the others in bloom, since I'm outdoor and ive got all the sun I can use I've double the sugar/carbs and added in molasses.

She smells very very very loud, the neighborhood will get a good whiff of this tree in the next 2-3 weeks at the rate the odor is ramping up. She has a good amount of frost for this early In bloom so its something to look forward too as things progress.

She's flowering nicely and giving off a nice color show due to the low temps we're getting stuff night now. Never grew anything outdoor or this big but she looks like she has another 5-6 weeks to go based on bud size.

Had a week full of rain and it was pretty bad the last 2 days with the buds taking on water. Did some more research and figured out that breeder weekly flowering time has nothing to do with outdoor growing and their outdoor finish time is the information that's needed. Hopefully it can get done before it gets even colder here in the upcoming weeks, breeder has it finishing early october.

Buds a very heavy in weight and sense but not huge colas, won't complain as long as it smokes good. We had a terrible downpour in the week that filled up my gallon container and a good amount of my 5 gallon, the wind bent the tree completely and at this point I am struggling with cold temps setting in. At this point she is ripening and is ready to come down next wknd to avoid bud rot issues.

Trees been down for about 2 weeks now forgot to update. We had a crazy downpour that literally dumped a lot of rain on the area and soaked the tree, I allowed it to dry out as much as possible but then another band of rain was approaching so I took it down. Had a piece that had broken off the tree and dried before I cut it, had me on my ass in minutes. I had the branches in a plastic bag and it got crazy damp when I finally got around to it, my living room is pretty warm so I left them out to dry completely before trimming which is something I no longer do but I had no other alternative. So far in the blue bin I have 3oz+ so far with a lot left to go, the buds were not huge but very heavy in weight so hopefully I can get 12oz of quality which is much lower than my original expectations but you learn to grow another day. This will cure until around Halloween before I smoke it again but I will return in about 2 weeks with the total harvest report and smoke. I've actually grown this before but never documented it, I've held a 2g nug hostage for over a year and about 5 months so I can compare 😂 UPDATE: OCTOBER 1 Finished trimming and weighing, a total of 17.91oz/1.081lbs. Not a bad turnaround after losing 3 significant branches on it, would've gotten to my goal of 1.5lbs easy without the loss of branches in a 12 gallon fabric pot of coconut loco

Second time growing it just this time on a much larger scale. Grown outdoor the buds were a good size and heavy, very sticky and terpy. Smokes very indica like before and has a sweet taste, definitely a fan of the strain since I'm willing to grow it on a larger scale great for indoor and outdoor growing.

Harvested right when I had to before the rain set in, the buds we're not huge but heavy in size. I didn't do a good job of defoliating, with a tree this size it gets away from you very easily next year I will definitely do a serious lollipop right as it goes into flower. I lost 3-4 major branches and still came back with almost 1.1lb, my projected number was 1.5lbs could've definitely made it if I didn't lose those brances

@JamMAKEcan, my issue is navigating the cold that we're still experiencing here in NY. One day its gorgeous and the next its terrible, today for example I bought them inside BC its pouring not to mention I transferred them to 12 gallons because I didn't like how they were looking in the 1 gallon. They suffered some serious shock that I haven't gotten since my first ever grow but they'll recover in due time.
