2 days ago I started the mainlining process. Let it grow till 6 nodes. Topped to the 3rd. Removed shoots from nodes 1 and 2. Now we will wait for her to recover and grow to 4 nodes on the remainig 2 main shoots.
She got topped on her 4th nodes on the 05/05. She then recoverd perfectly. Then I had to defoliate her because, although leaves were not covering the nodes, they were overlapping, creating condensation in between. Now I positioned the tomato cage so that the branches grow on the outside, allowing me to tie them to the ring. In about 2-3 days I will do some more defoliation.
Sorry for the late update, I was pretty busy these past few days.
Anyhow, she finally reached the outer portion of the tomato cage ring. Yay! From now on I will let her grow straight up.
I'll still defoliate the next nodes but I'm gonna wait a bit just to be sure I don't stun her too much.
Also I started adding epsom salts. I'm using 1 gram per gallon. There's no such measurement on this site so you'll see ml/L but it's actually gr/L.
For the rest, everything is good. She's got a pretty intense smell on the touch, very pungent. I haven't noticed this with any other strain. Who knows what she will smell like in flower 😁
Yesterday I flipped her to 12/12 so it's gonna be a while until preflower. 🌸
She's technically feminized so I shouldn't have any surprizes lol but you never know. 👀
Fingers crossed 🤞
I'm starting to feel the smell. Very pungent, you know she's gonna knock your brains out lol
Also noticing some pistils, so I can safely assume she's female. Awesome!
She's already growing faster, gotta love that flower stretch!
Looking good! Smell is starting to get intense and pungent. I'm checking on her every other day but really she's no-maintence. I just have to check if the soil is getting dry. Awesome!
Noticed a lil bit of foxtail and some burnt tips. So to be safe I raised the light by 2 inches and gave only water. I will slowly resume nutes it the future.
Upon some consideration I've decised this will be her last week. She may have went on one or two more weeks but seeing how the hot temperatures mixed with the dry and wet weather stressed her, I decided it's better to harvest a little bit early without risking budrot, damaged trichomes and more foxtail...
This is by far my best grow yet. 1 year ago I was only dreaming of such majestic colas. I am so happy with the result, especially because it's a sativa dominant strain which I love. She responded amazingly well to mainline, and if it wasn't for the hot weather I bet she would have gotten even bigger! Can't wait to try her out!!! 🤩
