This is the 3rd plant out of the 7 I plan to run outdoors this spring. These will eventually go into 12 gallons fabric pots while the other 4 will be germinated in middle May And will get a much shorter veg time in 7 gallon fabric pots. I've been hunting this strain for quite some time so I'm hoping for the best from these genetics.

So I'm getting a crash course in outdoor growing and its been very knowledgeable. So to clarify the plant isn't burning at all, that's caused by putting the plant on the roof for an hour and the wind and slight cold 61F going up to 69F destroyed the fan leaves and cause this to the leaves. It happened on the Purp and Runtz Muffin also, the only positive of any is the main branch is stiff as hell. They say the final frost of the winter is prior to mothers day and that's the weekend to plant outdoors, that's a lie. I'll keep them inside until memorial weekend or so or until the low is in the 60's

Transplanted the plants out of the 1 gallon into 12 gallon fabric pots and stared training. The Peanut Butter Breath is side branching nicely and I decided to FIM the plant. Temp got up to 90F 32C degrees ovee the Weekend, leaves curled in as expected but it kept them nicely watered so no wilting. Pulled down the entire tree so the side branches can enjoy some free PAR. Just going to continue training until she flips in early August, let's see if I can get 1.5-2lbs fingers crossed

Had to bring them inside for a few days due to bad weather, these pics are the first day back outdoors. Did some more training today and also foliar fed for the first time, wanted to include this into my regiment for outdoor since I don't have to wait until 12am for lights out. She's responding very well to everything far, found some spider mites starting to colonize and I did 2 need treatments in a 3 day span and that took care of it for now because they always come back.

Started to train the branches more on this particular strain and she's looking good so far for being a week behind the other 2 plants. Left them outside to fend off the rain this week and after the rain I swore they look better than they were before and it poured for about 2 days. During the late afternoon when it didn't rain I foliar fed my special sauce since it made no sense to root drench. It's a great feeling knowing you're getting crazy sunlight and canopy penetration for free. I noticed alot of outdoor growers don't really train their plants but I'm not them so I've got 2 more months of training before the light schedu changes.

This plant is a week behind and does not look it, its full and I've stretched her out pretty good. I super cropped her 2 mains this week, my plan is to keep these plants very short as possible. They're on the roof getting direct sunlight so it has the opportunity to get outta hand very rapidly. At this point they're about 1.5ft (.5m) with all the training done, without it the plant is about a ft taller than where its at. Haven't gone heavy on the nutes as im trying to be very careful with this outdoor grow.

Doubled the nutes this week, ive never followed the feeding chart because the regular feedings were enough. Since I'm outside and i figured I'd give it more to work with since I am trying to pull an obscene number with the size pot I'm working with and veg time. The nodes on the side branches are big enough now to be trained and stretched, this should help me get to 2lbs as I continue to train them out. Had some crazy high winds today, I called that free training.

Plants have fully recovered from the wind stress and looking healthy. Did more defoliating and training but at some point soon I'll scale back on the amount of training and let the plant just go. Had to up the feedings another liter after it rained and the plants still needed more, today's is about 31C so if they droop by noon-1p then I know its still not enough. This outdoor business is a lot of trial and error when dealing with high UV index

Doubled the nutes and the plant grew 8" in a week span and its not in flower. I may have to transplant to 20 gallons next week if it is measured around 40". I did a lot of defoliating to get rid of some huge fan leaves covering up bud sites and I also trained a lot. She is very wide and almost 3ft tall with a lot of pulling down, I'm very pleased

I continue to readjust the ties and defoliated alot of the interior portion in preparation of the light change. Due to the heat I'm watering 1.5-2 gallons twice a day.

Plants appeared to have flipped last week and looking good, the weather has been very terrible the last week and more with temperatures hitting 32C+ daily. Plants are wilting from the heat and lack of water during the day while I'm at work so I hope the weather relaxed soon, I am feeding the plants a total of 3-4 gallons a day with 2 gallons in the morning and 1-2 gallons after work.

I no longer train the plant as I've lost quite a few branches on the Runtz Muffin due to training and high winds that we're experiencing. This particular plant still has all limbs so here's to that remains the same and I will continue to defoliate

Plants took a tumble while I was at work and came home to everything laying on the ground like a robbery. I also learned that my plants wasn't burning but in fact when the tree hit the deck the 33C heat and the roof torched the leaves. The vertical growth is slowing as it only grew 4" in the week so far, next year I'll use 20 gallons for more growth. Just solid knowledge for next year as I wanted all 3 tree to hit around 6ft after the stretch and all the training. This is the only plant that hasn't lost any branches so I'm pushing desperately for 1.5lbs.

I've had a rough week and this plant was a small part of the reason. In the past 2 weeks NY outside of the past few days its been around 34C+ along with with some high winds which caused the plant to fall multiple at different angles over a period of time while I was at work during the week. The roof is burning hot and causes the leaves to LITERALLY burn. The tree was in pretty bad condition and I did the best I could to remedy the situation, I did a major defoliation of the dead leaves and side branches and did some major LST with some bricks that'll also act as counter weights for the wind and I've use cinder blocks to brace the tree. The temps are now in the low 80's and the wind is variable at times but she hasn't fell in about 2 days.

Had a week full of rain and it was pretty bad the last 2 days with the buds taking on water. Did some more research and figured out that breeder weekly flowering time has nothing to do with outdoor growing and their outdoor finish time is the information that's needed. Also this plant isn't a high yielder and is at 12oz outdoor which would explain why the buds look like this. Hopefully it can get done before it gets even colder here

I've pulled the majority of the nutes and have come to terms with this plant will not make it to completion. This has been a great learning experience and I come away with knowing how to better navigate outdoor grows. The buds on this will never mature properly as the cold as started to set in here in nyc and night temps will be around 57F -13C. All of the breeders say indoor outdoor for their seeds and why not BC if its can't grow outside is it really natural? The reality is depending on where you live the plants will actually start to produce buds at different time. They all preflowered the same time but the Runtz muffin took off and the purp wasnt too far behind, this one dragged as well into the middle to end of August. Some buds smell great of cookies and some has no smell tbh. I can give this tree another 2 weeks before I have to salvage what it has produced and make edibles, following next week we are constantly in the low 70'sF - 21C and lows in the low 50's F - 10C.

RIP to her. Learned a very valuable lesson between Indoor and outdoor flowering time and I clearly missed that during my research. This particular strain has a finish time of mid October hence why it was taking so long to ramp up production, the cold set in and stunted the growth and it was downhill from there. Next summer I will not run 12 gallons on my roof so its easier to move around and I will pay closer attention to outdoor flowering time. For now I am going to take the little buds and turn them into oil, butter, sugar and honey.

@GuerillaGorilla, plant was a goner the minute the leaves started to yellow and not streak. I would've had to cut a hole in the tent AND the ceiling my basement height is only about 7ft. I'm not familiar with C4 and etc ill definitely give it a google

@Kloud9gardenz, Okay, Sorry to spam your report but I am too excited. I just read into this a bit further and it seems everybody is confused. Some documents say Hemp is C4, others say Cannabis is C3. Now, there is even report of Marihuana being C3 but having the ability to utilize the C4 cycle in tropical conditions. Very very confusing😵‍💫🤯 This got me thinking... Have we actually(by accident) bred this trait into cannabis through "illegal" cultivation. Under growlight in sort of tropical condition. Considering we have Ruderalis, Indica and Sativa. Maybe breeding so much hybrids actually led to a differece between strains. Imagine C3, C4 of combo strains..suitable for outdoor climate zones. 😯😲🧐
GuerillaGorilla
GuerillaGorillacommented2 years ago
@Kloud9gardenz, I just googled it myself. Seems there is a lot of discussing going on about this. I will look into it further. As far as I know from my time studying Plant Sciences Cannabis is C4, like Corn. Strange to see so many contradicting thing now. 🤔

Hey Bro, Looks to me. First white heads week 15. Look up this strains indoor flower time and you can estimate harvest time. Looks a lot more sativa and will need a longer time to ripen. Gonna be a tricky one to finish
Kloud9gardenz
Kloud9gardenzcommented2 years ago
@GuerillaGorilla, the entire thing will convert to oil, butter, sugar and tincture. I'll end up getting the Humboldt Seed Organization version of it and run some better genetics next year or when I can squeeze it in
GuerillaGorilla
GuerillaGorillacommented2 years ago
@Kloud9gardenz, Okay, i have my doubts it will ripen. Looks like she's a bit cold already. Hopefully she builds up some nice trichs in the time she's got. You could still make some nice hash or something.
Kloud9gardenz
Kloud9gardenzcommented2 years ago
@GuerillaGorilla, she's got until the first week of October, definitely can't afford for it to be outside much later than that. The rain and cold picks up in NYC around that time, if it does run late I'd just be forced to harvest early. No way in hell I can get that giant off the roof alive and finish it indoors
