First week of these has seen decent growth, seedlings are looking healthy and keen. Another week in their starter cups and then they'll go into 1L air pots.
Seedlings no more and potted up, the young plants moved into the DP90 over the weekend. They had a bit of a transplant shock - took them a few days to start drinking and growing again - and judging by lower leaf colours I could increase the PPM faster, I guess.
Cuttings taken from main stems last weekend after the previous update. Recovery was quick, and they were flipped to 12/12 on Monday with 4 shoots each.
Week 2 of flower has seen them stretch pretty well, some more so than others. Not much in terms of pistils yet so they're only getting straight A and B.
Budding started in earnest this week for these so I added the PK booster to their feeding regime.
I also rearranged them a bit by height to even out the PAR they're receiving.
Buds are chunking up, on some plants more so than on others. The FF-8 are all developing a Juniper-like aroma which tbh I'm not keen on (if anyone knows what terpene that is please comment). The FF-4 are simply smelling weakly sweet at this point.
Sixth week for most of these, but definitely the final week for FF-8 #2 - she's been throwing nanners left and right, possibly due to light stress (she was the tallest of the bunch), but due to height being one of my main constraints this disqualifies her from further participation. FF-8 #1 and #3 are left, although I don't have high hopes for them as I'm not fond of their aroma. I'm going to let them go to harvest and give them a proper cure but I suspect these will not be for me.
FF-4 #1 and #2 are chonking up nicely, with a skunky apple aroma to them, while #3 is the leafiest - also the least smelly which works out fine I guess. Looking forward to seeing these develop further.
Week 7 saw them gain a good bit of weight. Starting them on their flush for the final two weeks or so, some will come down earlier and some a bit later - unfamiliar plants so going to have to go by trichomes to determine chop day.
Chonked up reasonably well considering they grew in tiny 1L air pots.
Both strains are meant to finish in 8 weeks but I'm not seeing any amber trichomes yet, so I'm going to give them another week.
No amber even after an additional week but lots of milky trichomes so down they come.
I spotted more nanners on FF-8 #1, so the only one getting a re-veg is FF-8 #3 which also happens to have the least amount of Juniper smell to it.
Harvest & vape reports coming in a month's time after a long dry & a bit of a cure.
