The best fruit cocktail you are ever likely to try, Strawberry Banana Grape is a sativa-dominant strain that packs a punch in both flavour and effect.
Short in stature but with an impressive yield of immense quality, Strawberry Banana Grape is easy to cultivate for beginners as well as more advanced growers.
The buds on this plant are especially abundant and thick, so branches will need to be supported during cultivation.
In terms of taste and aroma, Strawberry Banana Grape offers exactly what you would expect; immense fruity flavours with nuances of diesel.
This strain takes between 9-10 weeks to flower and is suitable for all environments and grow media
This strawberry banana grape was germinated in the 7th of July by being placed directly from the pack into biobizz lightmix and saturated with activera, she then surfaced around 60 hours later, for this run I will be continuing with the biobizz nutrients but will be using bio silicon throughout aswell as shogun boosters during the flowering stage! I must add that the light I am using isn't 400600w, I am using both a 400w and 600w hps for flowering! I will get a picture up of the seedling in the next few hours and fill in the diary details properly, just wanted to get this bit started so I have less to do this afternoon as it's been a busy day.. to be continued....
D8, this seedling is a little slower the the rest at the moment, she struggled a little getting her casing off and started growing a little slower from there so I am hoping she bounces back from it ok because I am really looking forward to this one.. I have started adding bio silicon to try and help toughen her up a little, and I intend to transplant her at the end of this week depending on growth this week.. will update her progress in a couple of days
So this update is a couple of days into week 3, she has progressed quite well over the past week and after being transplanted yesterday she seems a little more content and looks like he is about to start picking up, she was a little slower then the others at first bus is bouncing back ok and she doesn't seem to have undertaken any stress from the transplant so fingers crossed she continues to do alright, the pics I have uploaded are from a day after being transplanted, and I have stuck with biobizz lightmix as planned, because of her being in fresh soil though I am just sticking with bio silicon for now and she will be transplanted again for a final time when she is 4weeks old. I will update her progress again in a few days!
So onto week 4, off the top of my head we are about 24 days in so coming close to the half way point in veg. Over the past few days i have topped all 7 strains and i have also cut the lower 2 nodes off as when i transplant at the end of this week i intend to burry her upto where whats now her first set of nodes is (originally the third set) to make her a bit shoter and help her fatten up a bit more, today i am going tie down her new tops and will begin training her properly on monday.. i will be honest It has been a bit of an awkward week though as my landlord had arranged to have an inspection yesterday but then didn't turn up and 're arranged for monday, so I had to pull everything down and hide the girls for no reason.. and now have to do it all again in a few days! So bit of a ball ache.. but this Is why I am waiting till Monday to start everything properly as I can crack on as soon as everything is back up! This particular strain seems to have some fading on a couple of leaves, not like yellowing though it's scaring of some kind.. the new growth looks nice and healthy so I'm not too worried about it too much but will keep an eye on her
D33, so over the past week this fruity little cocktail has developed quite a bit if growth, she is starting to fill out nicely and Is starting to swell I little as i had begun training her at the beginning of the week, the same time I also transplanted her to her final home being a 20l pot, the combination of aromas coming from this tent already though smell amazing so I'm really looking forward to when these get flipped. After this week she will have 3 weeks left of veg so hopefully she evens out nicely between now and then!
d42.. so we are exactly 6 weeks in. I apologise for the lack of photos in this update, when I took them I was splitting everything up so just grabbed a couple of quick snaps from everything just so I can do a quick update! Now, this strain is sitting in the tent with, Cindy blue, velvet bud and Bruce banger! (Sativa dominant strains) and then the black sugar, white white fast and the white og are in another tent.. (indica dominant/hybrid strains) I have done it like this to try and avoid them out doing each other for light ECT.. over the past couple of days I have noticed some slight fading on a couple of her lower fans, so I have now introduced bio grow at quarter strength and will obviously increase accordingly. I have been advised that she is a strain that requires some pruning so will be doing a little bit of tidying up on her, as you can see from last week's update though she seems to be coming along very nicely at the moment, with a pretty even canopy! She is currently under the 400w hps and I was intending on veging a couple of weeks longer, however I have also been advised that a couple of these sativa doms go for gold when it comes to the flowering stretch, so over the last few days I have altered the amount of time the light is on, and then tomorrow I am going to be be putting them Into 12/12, during which time I will be taking the 400w out of this tent and putting it in with the indica dom strains, and then will be putting these under my 600w hps, I will start posting a little more frequently now so that their progress can be seen better, their next update though will be for the first week of flower so looking forward to seeing how she gets here on in!
So, week 7.. first week of 12/12, this sbg is still progressing well, the pictures have been taken today (d46) growth is starting to noticably take off now as she starts the flowering stretch. Started displaying sex exactly 6 weeks in. The pictures don't really do her much justice as it seemed to be a bit challenging to try and get a good shot of the whole canopy but she is becoming quite wide and bushy now.. She has had some light defoliation and before this week is out I am going to strip off some of the lower growth to encourage her to put the energy into making some nice juicy tops.. This plant already has a really sweet smell, and it's quite potent.. so am quite looking forward to see how that improves as she gets on and starts producing buds. I'm quite happy with her so far so hopefully she continues to do as well as she has!
So the pics for this update were taken yesterday (d11 of 12/12), she hasn't stretched a great deal so far and the pictures don't do her much justice but she has filled out more and and is showing plenty of preflowers, towards the end of this week i am going to introduce bio bloom and I have also added a top dressing of dolomite lime (recommended with biobizz soil). All in all though she seems content so am still happy with her progress and look forward to seeing her flower!
Pictures for this week's update were taken yesterday (d26-12/12) vertical growth has pretty much come to a halt with this strain over the past week, she has started filling out her bud sites more now and is starting to get a little frosty too.. she has had another little trim at the beginning of the week to allow a bit more light penetration through as she was getting quite leafy but may still need to do a bit of leaf tucking if necessary. She is starting to get quite a strong but sweet smell about her.. all in all I'm quite pleased with her progress so far, she still has a food 5-6weeks left but am looking forward to watching her fatten up during this time!
So we are half way through week 5.. this plant is absolutely stinking.. she has a really fruity smell, my gf says she smells like mangos but I'm not too sure.. it's hard to describe but she smells mouth wateringinly insane! I havent smelt a plant like it before! I'm really excited for the harvest of this plant. Buds have stacked up a little more this week and she is starting to get pretty frosty too.. if this plant smokes anything like she smells then I think I have found my new faviroute strain!
@ROM101, so far mate she smells beautiful! My sense of smell is awful lately but I can smell how sweet and fruity she smells.. she has started picking up the pace since my last post so will try get a couple pics up today.. I picked a leaf off the other day though so my gf could smell it and she said it smells similar to mangos! I just can't back that up yet
