Well I thought I'd give Sweet seeds Red Poison auto a shot this round and so far she's looking nice and strong. She's only getting overcast days so far. I started her in a solo cup with suits in it and transplanted her into a 10ltr pot to stay. 10ltrs bcoz it's I'm in the middle of autumn right now so she should get to big but ya never know hey. I started her in a home made seed mix and then into Canna terra pro mixed with a bit more perlite with no feeding unless she says otherwise. And I really hope to be in the outdoors Sweet seeds comp and pets pics..but I'm in Oz so maybe not..pls SS..☮️
Well she's coming a long just fine, she's been loving the sun but now we've got a few days of rain heading our way and I'll have to put her under cover when needed.
But despite that she's looking just sweet, I'm just really excited to see her get some colours bcoz I've never seen it before. Anyway week 1 down and now for week 2

She didn't get much sun this week, 4 days of heavy rain but she's still going fine..
I gave her her 1st feed of 1/4 tsp of GP grow just to help her along..and giving her as much sun as she can get..
She's doing better than I thought she would, she's just showing her white hairs already. She has some side branches starting also. I've been moving her during the day to chase the sun. So far she's only got grow nutes..
So she's started her preflower now so I gave her a half/half grow bloom feed to help her along. It also looks like she's showing some colour now I can see purple in the new growth more around the flowers than the leaves. I'm so happy 😊. My only concern is that she's in a small pot and her leaves are wider than the pot but I'll just play it as it goes but besides that she's loving the sun and the cool nights don't seem to have bothered her. Wow she grows really quickly and the base and branches are really solid. I can normally pull branch sites out to get more air and sun but it's hard with her branches being so thick and buds covering them..no complaints..I'm seeing colours really clearly now but I notice it can change throughout the day, yep in the morning the colours are more pronounced to the afternoon. I'm also getting some sort of chocolate smell and a little fruity smell..she's definitely an indica with her fat leaves..I'm still always amazed at how quickly these plants grow simply amazing..Thanks sweet seeds..
It's been a little slow this week but I put that down to the weather, winter just started so it's a bit cooler than usual which I'm sure would slow her growth down a bit. She's got some lovely colours going on, shades of purple everywhere but it seems to change during the day. The smell is still like chocolate and fruit but it's only faint at the moment. She's all indica to me, fat leaves and a short stocky bush. It's fun to grow but I'd like to try a bigger container and better weather. Anyway it's been a good week. See yaz soon. I'm growing a sweetseeds Red poison autoflower and it's getting quite thick down the bottom. I can't see stems at all it's so bushy.So my question is can I cut out a few leaves here and there for growth,sunlight and airflow without hurting her or just leave her be. Thanks
Wow I love the colours coming out in her..she's a very stocky little girl, I was thinking about taking some foliage out from her lower parts for airflow because she's quite thick and I don't want mold but I'm apprehensive to do it yet, I don't want to hurt her either. But so far she's a little purple beauty that's sweetseeds 100%. She still has a fruity chocolate smell but maybe that will change in time but overall I'm stoked to grow a purple variety. Maybe another month to go..
Well it's been a fattening up week for the purple lady, she isn't putting out any more hairs and her trich's are starting cloud up a bit now so she doesn't have much longer to go maybe another week just to get some more weight on her..I've just stopped giving her any food now. The weather is overcast for the next week so that should help her out with getting just right before the chop..she's got a lovely fruity smell..I must say the anticipation is not fun I'm so looking forward to shmoking some purps 😈 lady..
Ok so I'm going to give her the chop tomorrow morning for 2 reasons, 1. I found some bugs starting to make home and 2 she's got these little budlets forming on some of her buds which I'm taking as a sign she's about due..I'll be back shortly folks.
I grew this lovely red lady bcoz I've never grown a red strain before and I'll definitely so it again. I grew her in not the best conditions and I noticed on her tap root she has an s bend from me being not careful when I transferred her,lessons learnt. Overall she is easy to grow and she's mighty quick, I could have let her go for another week but I noticed some funny growth happening on her buds and also bugs but nothing drastic. No bud rot which is always a BIG bonus for me. Tropical North Queensland is not always beautiful 🤣. And a BIG Thank you to Sweetseeds for the opportunity to grow a Red poison autoflower 100%..wish I has more seeds though. ☮️ Don't we all.
Thanks Sweetseeds for the privilege to be able to grow a red poison autoflower and sorry I'll do it more justice in the future. She was a pleasure to grow, from her beautiful red looks and her aroma is just to be experienced. I will definitely be growing her again under better conditions. Peace love and lotsa buds.
@Dingle_Dangle, thanks Dangle 😊 yeah I've done both in and out and love both but I only do outside now. I have a dream that one day we'll be able to have plants growing outdoors in the backyard with no one hassling me over it, oh shit that's a dream 😜👍🇦🇺one fine day..
@STICKY67, I know how you feel since I bought some seeds this weekend. Among them was Red Pure Auto CBD from Sweet Seeds which has Red Poison as one of the parents. I picked that strain, especially for the red color :)
Okay after a couple of weeks curing I've just had a couple of choofs and while it's does smoke OK it has lost it's flavour which is sad bcoz it does smell lovely and it's sticky and it's an alright smoke but I miss the flavour, I must have missed something somewhere drying to long or curing. I'll give it another shot one day..
