Sowed seeds in soil last night and watered in Rootwise Mycrobe for germination to try something new. Planted in solo cups and stacked with an additional transparent cup to serve as a dome and popsicle sticks to secure the dome. Leaving in dark for 48hrs and then will add light. Also using a heat mat this time to see if it helps start stronger roots. Will check back when they sprout. *05/08/2022 EDIT: Both plants sprouted within 3.5 days. One zweet inzanity doesn't have good color but it was also trapped beneath a wood chip and stuck in the shell.

Bottom watered once during week 1 to try to encourage the roots to grow deeper and misted top surface. Everything appears healthy. I will continue to post updates on the last day of each grow week.

Switched out my light to the HLG 100 V2 4000K this past week. Just letting the plants do as they do. Drenched with Rootwise Mycrobe earlier in the week and watered again tonight. Zweet Inzanity #1 is now 4" tall and #2 is 3" tall.

Zweet Inzanity #1= 4.5" tall Zweet Inzanity #2= 4" tall Over the course of the week, I removed the cotyledons and the first nodes and one fan leaf. I plan on mainlining this run and instead of chopping off all the growth when I do the first topping, I figured I would slowly prep each plant to reduce stress and spend less energy on parts of plants that are being removed. I lifted the soil block from the cup to pull the roots back into the cup that grew thru the drainage holes. New roots are already coming thru after 2 days. Zweet Inzanity #1 seems to be having multiple nutrient deficiencies. Soil should have plenty of nutes available as no other plants show any deficiencies. Will likely apply a light compost tea to all plants soon and monitor the response.

6.4.2022 It's middle of week 4. Yesterday, I cut off the the remaining fan leaf at first node on each plant. Today, plants received their first tea brewed from Buildasoil's Craft Nutrient Blend. No changes in vertical growth since previous entry, however looks like some leaf growth and lots of action going on with the roots. 6.6.2022 Topped at 4th node Post top Zweet Inzanity #1 is 4.5" and Zweet Inzanity #2 is 3.5"

Tied down branches a couple days after transplanting. It's been tricky keeping inside temperature above 75°F due to air conditioning cooling the house from the 100°+ heat wave outside. Taking lower temps instead of high humidity for now.

I am finally back with an update after weeks of nothing. I promise you didn't miss much other than transplanting from 2gal pots to 7gal, defoliation, and watering in the only 3 products I am currently running which is Rootwise Mycrobe, Fish Shit, and Build-A-Soil's Craft Nutrient Blend. I also moved into my main 5'x5' tent which has the HLG600 set at about 65-75% power. Yesterday, I added the trellis and fed BAS craft tea that was brewed for 24hrs prior. I am not sure when I will flip my lights, but will give at least another week, if not more. Both plants are healthy, however Zweet Inzanity #1 has slightly quicker growth and stronger branches and is about 12" tall vs Zweet Inzanity #2 at 11" tall. I might end up taking clones of Zweet Inzanity #1 once I decide if I will be doing another grow after this one.

Both plants are about 15" tall, however Zweet Inzanity #1 seems more bushy than #2. This week there has been a lot of growth since applying the first trellis. I fed Rootwise Mycrobe and BAS Craft Blend in teas applied a few days apart. I also did some light defoliation. This cycle I have been trying to strategically defoliate and will do more of it as they stretch. And I am excited to say that today is the last day of veg.

I forgot to log week 14, but during that week I fed teas with SEA90 @ 1tsp/gal, Langbeinite @ 2tsp/gal, Crustacean Meal @ 2tsp/gal, and FishSh!t @ 0.30tsp/gal. This week I fed craft blend tea 2x and one day of water only. I typically water/feed 0.375-0.50 gal every other day. Over the last 2 weeks, I have done extensive defoliation, taking off a little bit each day. Zweet Inzanity #1 measures 23" and Zweet Inzanity #2 measures 22" Both are healthy, but it's a tight fit.

Added a small floor fan tonight to circulate air towards the back of the tent. No new vertical growth which is great because I don't like getting sticky arms reaching through the branches. Buds are looking good so far and the garden is starting to smell more.

ZI#1 was bigger from the start with thicker stems, but overall I think ZI#2 outperformed in potency and potentially yield too despite being slightly smaller. ZI#1 did experience a nitrogen deficiency at one point, but still turned out nice. Both smell incredible. Not much of a fade on these plants. In the dark for the next 24hr before harvest. Will update with yields after drying.

so you gave it a 2month veg stage before 12/12 flip ? at 4 weeksa my plant is only 6 inches tall (all I can say is that mybe I gor an unstable f-1 SEED ?) OUTOF ALL ETHOS THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST STRAIN TO DATE ALL OTHER ETHOS STRAINS WERE VERY GOOD wish thee wer more Zanity grows

TheTerpTapcommented3 years ago
@airplane, I went 2 months for veg and in that time mainlined my plants to have 4 tops each. Be patient. Looking at my diary, week 4 these were only about 3.5-4.5" tall, however this was recorded after I topped them for the first time.

have a plant at week 3 in veg - these seeds are vey hard to come by -just missed buying another pack - this strain has "insane the Membraine" you have "Sweet OG +collins x (gratfull dead) x duran posion x's a few more genctic's in Zweet Insanity, will be following, doing LST this go-a-round and going to do 60days from seed like you , for a bigger plant ... , taking away seedling stage (1st 2-3 weeks)( till there are 3 sets of leaves) I will have acutally 45 days veg check ouot Elemental Nutrients )sample pack of line , which is based on "myco" 2-3 part nutrient line -- cost 10.00 - it a winner You are talking about Elemenal from "Roots" right

@airplane, yep using Roots Organic Elemental. I got these seeds in a trade and didn't know they weren't as common. Good luck with your grow!

am grow this also -- at week 4 of veg with at least 8 sets of true leaves, This seem to be a short plant ? been using an "inocluant" + king crab + myco and a chemical root "Regen-a-root (cx horticuiture) for feeding Soul- grow (3-1-1)and Soul nitrogen supplement (8-0-0) and Soul Trinity (0.5-2-1) for organic Elemental Nutrients = a base /mcyo to use in veg /mcyo booster for flower not to for get Hydrozyme to get rid of all dead roots and increase nutrient up-take (elemental Nutrients has sample pack of their 3 for $10.00 well worth it) will be following - any thnig special about Zanity ?

@airplane, In between grows, I sift out the roots for medicinal purposes and re-amend with BuildASoil's Re-Amend Kit. Then, I let it cook for a few months outside in a covered bin. This summer I was blessed with a healthy population of spring tails and nematodes that I would contribute much of my success to rather than what I've fed with. I think that my plants may seem shorter due to how I transplant and train, but height isn't a concern. Overall, this cultivar has been fairly easy to grow and hasn't need any special attention.

by the looks of it - going to have to do a long veg time ? Nice growing doing LST at present
TheTerpTap
TheTerpTapcommented3 years ago
@airplane, 60 days would've probably been fine for this grow, but since I was mainlining for 4 tops I decided I might as well take the extra time and I am in no hurry to harvest.
