MVAuto So, after freaking out and almost giving up on my babies (first time grower panic), I decided to buck up and see what I could do to save them. I don't have much liquid cash and bought my equipment in parts, but I'm trying to see what I can do with limited resources, the blistering sun, and my ongoing knowledge. I have immense respect for those who have learned to perfect the craft we call growing. Wow. Anywho... Growing: (2) Fast Buds Big Bud Auto (3rd one died early b/c I had her upside down and realized it too late - it's cool to laugh). Germination Date: 04/25/22 Placed in Fox Farms Happy Frog Soil: 04/28/22 Coming along nicely. I didn't have the $$$ for the soil PPM / Ph meter, but now, one is en route. Splurged for a light because I knew it was needed. Other equipment en route. 10 weeks, 1 day since placing in soul 10 weeks, 4 days since germination date. I welcome all suggestions!

Other equipment en route. 10 weeks, 1 day since placing in soul 10 weeks, 4 days since germination date. ======= Week 2: Grabbed the rest of my equipment. Ph is at 7.5 , so I will need to create a solution that’s lower than 7.5 so that the girls can raise themselves to the ph that’s needed. Cal Mag and the Fox Farms trio for nutes. Nervous, because they are already short and didn’t grow as high, but happy I didn’t kill them. Hoping to see them grow into something taller than what I have seen in the past few weeks. I need the right nutes, balance, and time. There’s a lot of work that goes into growing.. almost so much so that I highly underestimated it. I’m committed to learning how to get it right.

MVAuto I can’t tell between the continued rainfall, the humidity, or if the Fox Farms mixture I made and fed my plants stunted the growth of my baby. The night I gave her nutes, it rained overnight. The humidity is ridiculously high where I am and I’m wondering if it is the humidity or the nutes that may have stunted her. Any advice?

It's been hell with these girls, as I really have been nervous this entire grow time, but it's my first grow. So far, they're not dead, which means I'm on the right path, right? Because it was their first feeding with Fox Farms products versus the ferti-lome fish emulsion (5-1-1) and ferti-lome all purpose plant water soluble plant food (20-20-20), I decided to dillute what I would be feeding them. Fed them with the following: Fox Farms Big Bloom (1.5 tsp) Fox Farms Grow Big (1.5 tsp) dilluted in 52 fl oz (1.6 QT) water and fed. I plan to feed them every 2-3 days and began with Week 4 of the Fox Farms schedule for feeding them. I'm hoping that by giving them that 1.6 QT every 2-3 days versus that one gallon all at one time it will allow gentle growing. Girl #1 (the bigger of the two) has shallow roots that I need to stabilize. Currently stabilized with a cut off bamboo skewer, but she's real susceptiable to being blown over by the wind. Granted, she has a spacious leaf pattern compared to her sister, whose leaves are very tight and bunched together. Girl #2 is also stabilized with a bamboo skewer, but her roots are deeper. The both show some wilting, which I hope will change after today. Upped their lighting on my light to 75%, which had been at 50% before. Confirmed with myself that I need to be much more meticulous with the days and dates as well.

Things I’ve learned: -The cycles of each growing stage (4) -There’s more than one way to handle an issue -Don’t give up on your plants, they need you! -While you don’t have to, don’t rely on just an electronic pH meter. -I overestimated the amount of sun I had planned for these girls to get and underestimated how sensitive they can be too (I placed them inside for one day and a change from outside to inside shocked my plants) The most important thrive I’ve learned today is to read like hell, watch videos like hell, and know that it’s okay to make some mistakes. Right now, I’m slightly fearing that they’re too stunted to grow, but I’m going to see if I can correct some mistakes. I DID buy the Fox Farms Grow Big, Big Bloom, and Tiger Bloom and plan to give them a pint with a diluted concentration of… One of these (?). When I finish watching the videos, I can report back more accurately as to how I diluted the chemicals appropriately. Measuring the girls in the evening with the pH meter (the green one from Amazon), and all my girls read at 7.5 Grabbed tap water and soil and used the General Hydroponics kit to measure the soil’s pH and they read 6.5 To water and ensure they don’t go too haywire, I’m going to balance my chemicals to 5.9 and see how they fair in my plants.
