RQS package received, a bit late but i still have 4 weeks of growing and the 8 flowering weeks so hopefully i can make it
The 6th of May I placed 2 seeds in water with some peroxide as i always do, 1 day later they both opened so 1 goes to an RQS soil plug for the comp and 1 to a regular peat pellet 👌
my plan is to flower 1 for the comp and have the other one growing a bit longer, so at the end in this diary im tracking 1 of the 2 watermelons, im quite excited about this strain, wish me good luck 🤞
Not much to say about week 2 veg, but i do want to change them soon to their definitive place soon, im just waiting to harvest next week one of my rooms and give them better light as now they are under a 100w CFL
Watermelons are going great, both are growing good, just gave some iguana grow and for the rest water, lets see how she goes the next weeks 😁
Organic nutrients from RQS added this week 😁
Transplant done to 7 liters apart from last weeks RQS organic nutrients we also provided some calmag, this was mainly due to leaving her in a smaller pot for a little longer and i think i could have provided the RQS nutrients earlier!
Now lets see, i should be flowering now as if not i dont have time for the competition 😢
We topped one of the watermelons and im planning to flower soon, maybe i let the girls recover 1-2 weeks so lets see how everything goes during the week.
They look quite recovered from the topping, i think the girls might need some more nutrients but i only provided a little bit (half of the required) of the RQS nutrients as the planning was to grow less weeks, but now it doesn't make sense to add more as im planning to flower already
The watermelons are around one and a half week in flowering an they stretched a lot more than the fat banana, this is obviously a personal experience, but let see, at the moment we have quite some bud sites around the plant and she's nice and green
Provided the easy bloom booster end of the week 😁
At the moment the plants are looking good, slowly the buds start to grow, we still have quite some weeks to go so i do think that we going to have a nice result, the plants are nice and green and slowly some more THC is appearing 😁
We also removed some of the lowest branches
Week 3 for the watermelons 😁 time goes fast when you have fun!
The buds are slowly starting to get bigger and more tricomes are observed, it seems that the girls liked the easy bloom tabs
Week 4 for the watermelons, one of the 2 plants seems to have a bit more thc than the other, but of course not all phenotypes are the same, i also had some issues, i think i provided a bit to much nutrients... So i started to provide only water just in case, both smell exactly the same and are showing a quite similar growing, still some weeks to go ☺️
This strain smells great, totally recommended for those who look for a sweet and fresh smell, i just hope it tastes as good as it smells 🤔😁 the buds are getting bigger slowly, but i must admit that i had several issues with the nutrients (i gave too much)🤦 so the plant is not in optimal conditions, but still i think its going to be a great smoke 😁
Another week and some days and the watermelon is ready to harvest, great strain, nice frosty buds, and as mentioned previously i provided a too much times nutrients during one of the weeks which affected a bit the end result, but still happy I've tried this strain, i will definitely put some more seeds in the future!
Last week of flowering, i finished just when the RQS cup is reaching to its end, hopefully my diary can still be eligible 😁
As mentioned this strain is totally recommended, easy grow without paying much attention, which i think is also because of the easygrow package from RQS, basically the first couple of weeks we only worried about water and for the rest we just gave some tabs here and there during the flower stage, great performance!
Great plant, not sure if it smell like watermelon but i like it and thats what's important 🤣 the plant streched a lot when i switched to flowering, not much of attention was given to this plant thanks to the easy grow package from RQS, we provided food 1 time in veg and we forgot about her until flowering, which is obviously great, after that the RQS tabs also did their work, keeping things smart and simple (KISS) which is what every grower likes.
