Two of two seeds sprouted, 1 was large enough to put in soil. Tomorrow the other should be large enough to move on to soil.
A new strain for me to try. CBD Mexican Feminized Marijuana Seeds is a high CBD sativa-dominant strain. It comes with 13 percent CBD and only 13 percent THC. It can produce good yields up to 700 grams per plant outdoors and up to 500 grams per square meter indoors. This is a creative, energetic, euphoric, and uplifting strain which can relieve anxiety, depression, migraines, and stress.
CBD Mexican is a highly stable strain that is further enhanced with the introduction of even more CBD into its genes. The fact that the original strain is already a powerful strain with its 23% THC level makes this hybrid an even more well-rounded brand of marijuana. It brings different aspects of marijuana in one strain. On the one hand, you have the THC content that offers a satisfying high while on the other; you have CBD and its healing compounds.
CBD Mexican is a perfect strain to smoke during the day as you allow the CBD content to engulf your mind with creative juices and let loose with your creative work. The calming effects of this strain help soothe your nerves if you are feeling anxious. Moreso, if you want to grow this weed for your consumption, an outdoor setup is highly suggested as this weed flourishes well in a warm environment filled with sunlight.
One seed sprouted and moved on to soil and poked its first leaves above the soil on May 10, the other slower and came pushed its leaves out of soil May 13.
Since one of the seeds was acting like it would not amount to anything, I started a third seed. Starting to look like I may have an illegal plant. We are only allowed to grow 4 cannabis plants in Canada. I now have 5 little plants.
Not much happening this week, they did not appear to grow much. No nutrients for the babies yet. I have had a fan creating a breeze on the plants for about 3 weeks to encourage the plants to have stronger stems.
I added some nutrients to 1/2 of the water provided this week. On three sunny days this week I put the 3 little plants out on the deck so that they could get direct sunlight. I have had the experience of starting garden vegetables indoors and then having them get sunburnt when put directly outdoors without toughening the plants first. They still are not growing fast as I would expect.
The 3 plants had the grow light to themselves this week as the 2 larger plants of two other strains have been put outside. I expect to put these 3 out later this week. They had 2 liters of water with nutrients. They really stretched out in height this week and now average 6 inches in height. Since these are to be Auto Flower I should not top the plant. Or at least, I have read that one should not top Auto flowering plants.
The 3 plants have been outside for a week. They will be supported with extra strong tomato cages. Windows were used to protect from the prevailing winds. They are growing but are spindly, as in, big distance between leaf junctions. I wonder if I should have topped the plants, but I have read that auto-flowering plants don't do well if they are topped. They vary in height between 9 and 12 inches. In spite of it raining 4 days this week I have been able to give each plant a liter of water with nutrients. On the sunny days it has been very warm, reaching 30 C.

The result you are seeing is from I am guessing it was a widow grow inside. Lack of proper light caused that. Now outside since it has only been a week you won't see a lot of difference yet. Plant is getting acclimated to soil and sun. They should start growing about now. Plants outside tend to be more stretched, and spread out compared to indoor grows. Not sure what will occur in your case.
Hot week with 3 days of rain. Plants went into flower the day after being placed outside. Pathetic looking things but I was intrigued by the colour of the buds. I was able to give 3 liters of water with nutrients between rain which included thunder storms in the evenings. I decided to start 3 more seeds so see if I can do a better job.
Second week of flowering on my pathetic 3 little plants. Rained several times this week and the nights were colder. TV Weather Man warned of frost in the north of New Brunswick, it is July, not supposed to be that cold at night. I did some watering to make sure the plants was getting some nutrients. All the rain must be washing some of the necessary nutrients out of reach of the plants. As these plants have done so poorly, I have planted to more Mexican seeds and promise to try and do a better job of starting these auto-flowers.
Notice that one plant is very different in colour than the other 2 plants, purple stem and and buds. In fact, none are the same colour as the others. Of the 2 green plants one is much lighter than the other.
The three Mexican plants are not the same. The largest at 17 inches has purple buds the other two have green buds. They are 12 inches and 15 inches in height.
Very hot week, I gave the plants plain water on an especially dry and windy day. The purple plant stands out from the other 2. It also is the tallest of the three at 18 inches. Of the green plants the smallest is 13 inches, and it has a nice big cola at the top. The other is 14 inches. True, that none are anything to brag about but I will continue to learn new things about these Auto-grows.
Dry weather this past week. I gave plain water one of the days because the ground looked very dry. Watered 3 days with nutrients. Plant has not grown taller. The buds look fuller. Three weeks to the recommended harvest time. I have been covering the 3 plants with clear plastic at night so that they will not collect dew in the early mornings. I am still trying to prevent bud rot.
It rained all week. I mean it rained every day. Yes, some days more than others. With the amount of water the plant has received, I decided not to give more water soluble nutrients. I harvested 2 of the 3 plants on August 12. Both had some mold. Wet bud weight harvested from the purple coloured plant was 53 grams. The green coloured plant wet bud weight was 45 grams. Yes quite a pathetic grow, as I am learning to grow auto-flowers. On August 14 I noticed that plant 3 having some bud mold so I chopped the wee thing down. Its wet bud weight was 40 grams. At least I got some thing out of my first attempt at growing an Auto-flowering plants.
