I decided to remove potting material before transplant. Root system primarily in tact, had a few (tiny) roots broke loose with pot bottom. I'll "TP" earlier with future grows.

Looking good... Nodes are tight 😀, however, I haven't nailed why down. Normal watering, Used a 6000k LED 150w 15k lum (supposedly) until I got the XS in, little bit of root disturbance during transplant (waiting for 5g net pots to get in). Had a fan on it after 2nd node (went through 3 fans before found one that worked). Added tsp./2l h2o of veg. nuts. today. I'll be happy regardless. It's a bit squat still for the producer it claims to be. Still trying to figure this diary thing out so things might be off.

Grow Questions
Maddog1969
Maddog1969started grow question 3 years ago
My plant appears to be yellowing. Recent stresses: changed light schedule "off" during hottest part of day. I'm adjusting watering (distilled) and light distance. Mechanical PH around 6, looking for a better tool. Don't know if this coloring is species related. Opinions?

One of your problems is that you're using distilled water which is always a PH of 7.0 - much too high for cannabis and you now have some lockout issues. Start by getting yourself a PH pen or some other kind of meter that will accurately test the PH of your water! Then flush your plant using PH'd water (3 gallons of water to each gallon of pot size). This will set everything back to square one and you can then go forward with your normal feeding schedule... but ALWAYS make sure no matter what you give your plant it is PH'd to within that good range! If I had to change ANYTHING about how I started to grow, it would be to buy a PH pen at the very outset instead of relying on drops and trying to match the color with the chart they give you... Apera sells a really nice one that's just as good as - if not better - than BlueLab... Get SOMETHING that will give you a very accurate PH reading! You won't regret it at all!! As AsNoriu says, you should strive for a PH of 6.3 but anywhere between 6.0 and 6.5 is acceptable and will allow your plant to absorb the nutrients - and MICROnutrients - it needs.

Thanks! for the help with troubleshooting. I was leaning towards nut. lock and mention of DW PH triggered the light bulb "duh". I used filtered (treated) H2O in the past and brain fart the distilled PH. My girl is recovering. I didn't flush as recommended due to logistical and other issues, so a slower recovery is expected. 12 colas. 😀

So, after distilled H₂O/PH fiasco I got my PH tester out and calibrated it only to find out, after 3 or 4 days, it lost it's accuracy. Cheap crap. Bought another tester. I didn't expect this lady to be top producer level, my grow environment is a work in progress. My LST method is being tested, seems a bit too much work compared to others. Glad I started more..😀 Still trying to germ. old stock seeds from KCB male regular I pollinated two different autos with. LST tedious but going well.

Not much for Trichomes. As expected. Grow area, environmental conditions, nutrients and watering are getting dialed in. The other girls are doing much better. Don't think I'll start another MDA until I have better control over grow area. The other strains showing more resilience then MDA's issues at my location.
