Just need some advice on how to maintain a good temperature, Ive just ordered a humidifier that's coming tomorrow so I should easily be able to do that but why am I getting temps of 28/29 degrees Celsius?

hey there Nerohero, you're halfway there with a humidifier, but the truth is it's not enough because it will only affect the humidity and not the temperature. Check out what's called an evaporative cooler , that should affect both the humidity and the temperature. if the temperature of the room the tent is in is above 25°C so the temperature in the tent will be high aswell. Try cooling the room by making shade, adding an A/C, etc. it's all about finding how to balance all these things to get it right. Hope this helps ! 🚀

With LED lights it is 18-24 inches for seedlings, 12-18 inches in veg and about 12 inches when flowering.

Ive sadly placed my seedling in a pot without any drainage holes at the bottom, how bad is this? I know I need to be careful with overwatering , obviously in 10-15 days when it starts vegging properly Ill transfer it into its final big pot that does have drainage holes.

Looking better it seems that's a pottery pot. xDDDD That's tricky friend. If you don't have any other way to drill holes I would advise to wither be invasive and solve it meaning very gently perform surgery and switch pots or don't to anything and get a few drops of water occasionally until you transplant. There's no good option here I think. Both can work well or not. It's decision time. Use the best of your abilities. Good luck growmie.

Is aiming for 60% humidity for the first 2/3 weeks a good idea? then drop to 50% mid veg and then obviously to 40 for flowering? , starting to get better at controlling the environment inside and ive got some smart plugs and wifi thermometer coming to control things

hey there Nerohero, you can get even higher with noticeably great effect. At this age the plant hardly has any roots at all so it gets most of its moisture from the air. That's why you can even go to 90% + humidity and it will actually help quite a lot. try a humidity dome which locks in the humidity, you can even try spraying (with or without calmag or your root it 1mL/L) several times a day in the very beginning. start to back off a bit as time goes on and you get the first five pointed leafs. Hope this helps! 🚀

It won't be long until I re-plant into its main big pot for the full grow, I think ive got a good soil but everyone seems to have these white rocks in their soil what is this and do I need?

Based on my 12.5L fabric pot , is watering the plant about every 3-4 days when the soil gets dry with 1L of water with added nutrients good enough?

Depends on your grow parameters. If you have low humidity you'll have to water more. At that stage you're supposed to be watering from 3 to 4 days and have relative humidity in the air around 70%. Also better to water pointing to the edges of the pot instead of the center...carefull in fabric pots if you point water to the fabric it will go through. If you need any help text me ;)

Have I done the first topping correctly?, I watched a few videos on YouTube and it looked like my plant was ready so I just sterilised a pair of mini scissors fully and copied the video, ive posted a photo, I think it looks okay? how many more times do I have to do this? :D

Hey NeroHero, You topped her fine :) Some people like to top how you did and some preff to do it when the plants are bigger. Topping can be done as much as you want until the end of growing, do not top in flowering stage. But everytime you top, 2 new brances will come out of it. This will take up lots of energy for your plant and your buds will not be massieve. Some people pref a lot of brances with smaller buds and some just top the main brance(cola) and leave it like that. I would advice you to not top again, do some LST and remove lower nodes from every brance after having alot, these nodes(future branches) are weak as well. Ps, LST can be done in many ways, just look into it which way you preff. Goodluck growing :)

@CRiSPrGrow, thanks for all the info bud!, the first day my tent has been around 27/28 during the day and dropped to 25/26 at the night, then it drops to around 21/22 when the light switches to 6 hour dark

@Nerohero, you can even make an evap cooler quite cheaply growmie it's like a cheat code 😉👊 gonna follow along, usually with that ambient temperature you should be able to just about keep below the 25°C mark which is quite okay.

@CRiSPrGrow, thanks for the help and will do, now that Ive switched both my fans and carbon filter on the temp is slowly dropping, its only around 20 degrees in my conservatory so hopefully with the fans on I can keep it around 23-26degreesC , but if it gets to hot again ill certainly buy an evaporative cooler

Hey there friend. Congratulations on getting into growing cannabis! I think you are gonna really like it here at growdiaries. looking at your diary, Would you be alright with me offering some pointers? So cannabis plants LOVE heat and humidity. It is the buds that hate it. In veg we want to take advantage of this fact to help our plants grow along much quicker and more vigorously. In veg we can look for temps of 79-84 MAX with lights on & no more than 9 degrees less with lights off. If we allow for too much temperature swing between lights on and lights off while the plant is still growing vertically up to day 20 of flower, We will cause the plant to stretch ALOT which we do not want. So in veg & early flower, Keeping our temperature gaps nice and close between lights on and off is key. Utilizing humidity in our rooms during veg will also help out a lot with more rapid growth but we must introduce it properly. In our rooms we have our temperature and humidity set-points, But when we combine those 2 it forms a third set-point which is the most important & that is called VPD, Vapor pressure deficit. I strongly recommend every new grower or old grower who has not learned it yet, To study and understand it & implement it into your room, Logging your numbers daily. https://cerescann.com/importance-of-measuring-vpd/ For soil, We generally want to go for a PH of 6.1. This website does a GREAT job of illustrating it with a nice graph & very good detailed explanation for soil. https://autoflowerseedshop.com/cannabis-ph-chart-guide/ As we briefly touched on before, During veg & early flower we want our temperature gap's nice and tight to avoid stretch. Why exactly our plants stretch in response to this is a genetic trigger being activated by the environmental stress essentially telling the plant the end of the season is closer than it really is. In veg & early flower the plant is still in its first stage of development which is to grow up wide and tall so when it produces seed, It can cast them out nicely. Remember, Whether we are growing our plants for seed or bud their genetic responses do not change as they gh sidedo not know any different. Once the plant has finished that first stage of growth by weeks 4-6 of flower with most strains, It is by day 20 of flower. Autoflowers you have to watch for it, But once the plant has finished this goal its new mission is to focus 100% on producing nice big flower clusters & to get very sticky so it can attract pollen to it successfully. So once that vertical growth is finished, We actually now want to begin to expose our plants to larger temperature swings between lights on and lights off. This will help activate that genetic response and allow us to draw out the most potential from the strain utilizing the plants genetic triggers to environmental stresses at the right times. We can also take this a step further with doing light deprivation in the last 2 weeks using less light to simulate cloud cover. Very cold feed temps on the last flush is very good too. If you do not have them already, Get yourself a good PAR meter & thermal laser temp gun to monitor your plant top temperatures & optimize how much light your plants are getting. We are currently in the middle of producing a very comprehensive tutorial series for everybody to learn from & understand how to grow the highest level craft cannabis all on their own. If this interests you please check out our youtube and subscribe. The first 2 episodes are out the next one is coming in a few days. If you should ever have any questions or need any help, Please feel free to follow my profile and shoot me a DM. I will gladly help you with the pull down & make sure you get the best quality harvest possible as it is the most important step of the entire process. Good luck my friend!

@Nerohero, If you got a PAR meter, Check to see if it is registering any light off of it, If not then the lights aren't seeing it either. I DOUBT very much it is an issue, Hop on over to my youtube and subscribe it is linked off my grow diaries profile, We are doing a tutorial series right now & each series will get more and more advanced to teach all levels of growers how to grow their own high level craft cannabis. No need to thank me man its our job!

@LegacyMarketFarm, wow dude thanks for all that info it really helps, can I just ask a pretty obvious question, I didn't realise my stupid humidifier has a night light, obviously this is a bad thing for my plant when its in the dark periods?

Hey friend fantastic grow so far. Very healthy looking plants 🙂🙏 One minor thing, do u always give 5ml nutrition? And do u give plain water between the feedings? If u don't do that there is a chance u can get a salt build up and that's not good for the soil. Its needs a small flush every now and then 🙂 and 5ml is a lot on a liter of water but if u don't see any signs of nutrients burn it's probably ok. Hope u don't mind me saying this 😉 Happy growing buddy
