Great week, ticking along as before. Definite start of proper fattening, and ridiculous frost just continues to develop. Was so happy with my first grow but this one leaves that one for dead. Learned so many lessons, both easy and hard, on the first one, just feels so much more tuned in. The one time we did have an issue with CalMag very early on I stopped it after one set of leaves because I was able to recognise the signs. Really excited to see how much better these flowers are than last time! To give you an idea those were the best nugs I've ever found in this dead-end town, and I knew basically nothing than! Just want these little babies to be ready to roll...

DAY 40 - So far so good in week 6. As with all my grows I do the hard work early to make the end a breeze. They get a hard as fk defol at flip and then again at 3 weeks, after that I leave them alone. I very rarely come out of the tent without at least a few leaves, but at this point it's only things that are blocking bud sites, or stuff the size of my head that's like green leather! If you've done the right things up to week 3 you've got almost no work after that other than to manage the nutrient curve through wks 4-6, which 2 days from now is end of week 6 for me. Other than filling the tank they're just doing it themselves now. Just in the last two days noticed the start of some serious thickening. I'm running a CO2 bag on this grow with about 850W of LED in there! and it definitely seems to be happening really quickly. I'm assuming I've got a pretty comprehensive spectrum with the mix of the SF and the Mars lights, and the CO2 won't be hurting. I'm seriously of the opinion that my fastest girl may need to be cut at 7 wks!! It's already at about 60% red hairs, and 100% cloudy trikes. If I see that get to 10-20% I'm gonna rip her as GG4 doesn't need help getting any more narcotic... Can't wait to try these bb's

20/5 - Week 7 started yesterday. Loving the look of the plants. Interestingly that one in the dark photo with all the frost is really ripening and starting to put on amber trichs, but still not really bulking up. The others are still bulking and haven't even begun to get red hairs yet. The one that's going quick is sitting right under the CO2 bag, that's the only thing i can think of? That plant and bud in the 4th/5th pics - man I wish I'd kept a cutting. It's such a stunning pheno, look at that frost coverage!!! My fun game now is to try and stretch the fast girl as long as I can to allow it a chance to bulk, if it's ever going to. I can't afford to let it get more than 10% amber. Only on day 44 today, anyone ever heard of flowering being over and done that quick??? DAY 49 All tracking along. I've got two super frosty girls that just don't seem to want to bulk the same way as the other two. The other two are fat and juicy but without the same frost levels, though the terps on all seem to be awesome! Anyone had this where some plants get fat and some get frosty but not both? I'm assuming genetics have to sort of tilt one way or the other, but I kind of feel like maybe they're so different that they needed different nute regimes to get the best out of them. Just drives home the need to get myself a mother and start running clones, just too hit and miss going from seed all the time. Still very happy, think I'll comfortably get the 12 oz I got last time, would've been nice to aim for a pound but not likely this time. Last day of low level nutes today, flush starts tomorrow.

Easy week, nothing but RO water and Crystal Clear, no need to pH even when flushing with CC. 5 ml/L, normal watering routine, 5 times watering events for a total of 3 litres per plant per day. Taken the full week to get exit EC down to 0.3 from the 2.1 it was at. Just starting to see some flush in the leaves, and everything starting to turn a lovely shade of purple. The flush combined w/ slowly bringing daylight down to 11 hours is driving them to finish. Disappointed with the bulking on two of these girls, although both have ridiculous frosting across the whole plants that I'm really excited about having a shitload of full melt out of my 25 micron bag!! Anything too small to bother with will just go in there, I'm really hopeful to be able to get my first dab rig and just live on full melt for as long as possible, just letting the flowers cure. My mini hygrometers should arrive this week - I love humidipacks but I really want to manage jar burping manually for at least a week or two as I've heard this helps preserve terps. They are really going amber in the trichs very quickly, I expect I'll have to pull them down in the next 2-3 days, but regardless they'll come down day 63 at the latest. The issues with lack of light from the SpiderFarmer light has meant there has been delays across some plants and a lack of bulking. Things got better once I added the 2x Mars Hydro lamps bringing total LED wattage up to a little over 800, but the lack of light before they went in led to massive stretch and definite loss of bulking. I'm really looking forward to picking up my Grow Lights Australia lamps in the next few days. The new setup will blow some minds, these are the best lights on the market by some distance and all made by hand with the best far red and blue diodes. They claim a one-week reduction on flower times due to this. In any case we'll find out, and as they're not well known outside the country, or even the city of production, I hope to show what the best quality lights with the right mix of wavelengths can do! Above all I want to stop that stupid level of stretch and let my mainlining do what it's supposed to do. So I need to decide whether I harvest in two passes and let the bottom stuff ripen, but honestly I just want to get this stuff down and get onto a better grow with the right light. Once I know I'm going, these will get watered all through the light cycle with a half ice half water mix, super cold. From there lights will go out for about 24-36. Just a little time to eat their starches and build up some nice terps, then picked as soon as lights go back on. Aim will be to dry them at 62% in the tent and try to get a 10-14 day dry from them. Stay tuned for harvest, any day now I reckon

Fun week. Harvest partial commencement last night. Given pheno characteristics and the fact the shitty lights induced way too much stretch it's going to be a staggered harvest. The top buds on one girl had set ages ago and just stopped swelling, and crystals were pushing 15-20% amber. They have now all come down, and what I discovered underneath was gorgeous. All the lower buds are blowing up beautifully and have this gorgeous purple hue with bright orange hairs - just beautiful. They will ripen up nicely now with the extra light, then we'll see what happens with the popcorn down the bottom. Everything apart from big fans gets dried by me and any of those which had mass trichomes (which was many on these girls!) have all been fresh frozen anyway. I've already got about 5 oz. of ridiculously good fresh frozen trim which will go thru a hash run today to get me something between now and when my flowers are ready. So those tops have gone into drying cupboard which, with a window cracked in the room, sits beautifully at 60F and 50% RH. They will stay that way until tonight, when the huey will go in at 62% to maintain them there for a slow grow. Literally the sort of conditions that can be so hard to get right and this room just provides them. Gonna be tricky as basically all the tall flowers you see left will come down over the next four days, the lower stuff from the first plant won't be far behind that, then the other lower stuff...ultimately I want to get to the point where everything can come down and all just go in the tent to dry. I will then have my next run vegging in that drying cupboard with one of my Mars TSL2000. I wouldn't use these again for flower, they produce a lot of light but I'm not convinced on the spectrum spread and they're just not top shelf Diodes. I'm REALLY EXCITED to say that the ViparSpectra KS5000 is on its way. Punching in at 500w, and with a physical size of 40x40 inches, the coverage on this is RIDICULOUS. With the middle hitting 1000PPFD at the right height for flower you'll still be getting over 600PPFD at the corners. Top-shelf Samsung diodes with Osram reds and a good number of them. I'd have to say it's a real step up from both the TSL's as well as the Spider Farmer SE3000 I have in there currenly. The SF may become my veg light going forward just depends on if it fits. Will work all that out once the Vipar comes and I pack those down. Enjoy the pics, looking forward to the girls showing their autumn clothes a little more. I'm hoping I'll be able to take all the bottom stuff in one pass, because I'd like to ice feed them in 24 hours of darkness prior to picking. See how we go though. Cool to see the sativa side of this pheno really shining through on these flowers, long and skinny. Can see 2 of the girls there much more in touch with their indica side and makin dem bats. Reckon what in that hang now though will still net me a nice ounce of quality flower. Cheers, PEACE ALL!!

Lots of pheno variability, but that's not unusual given its unstable phenotype, being the child of a herm. Fortunately no herming at my end which seems to be their biggest risk, though I will say my grow was tuned in to all hell. Saw maybe to gnats the whole grow, no mould or mildew, no light leaks, so they are given every chance to thrive. Huge variations in terps, one is pure gas, the purplest girl has a bunch of passionfruit character, and the two fat girls have all sorts of stuff going on. Basically ended up taking everything tall off all the plants as all were pushing into amber and I don't want any more than 5% on this strain, which feels like a good call based on the few little nugs I've been able to dry in the vape and get a hit off. Such a poor imitation of what they'll be when cured but they're delicious and I'm baaaaaked. Super balanced high, little to no paranoia, lots of mental creativity but at night seems to lean more into its indica side and bring on deeeep sleep. I really like this. I've got 8 more seeds, so I've popped four more, they will go in a little veg cupboard until these finish and come out of drying in a couple weeks. Now that they are all exposed again I've got them back up around 35 DLI which should bring them through pretty quickly. There are loads of big white heads down there just needing to be ripened. Hoping they can come good in about a week or so, then what's left here will get ice watered and a day in the dark then all come down. I estimate there is 1.5-2 times what I took if is what is still left in there. I'm guessing what's hanging is gonna bring 6-8 oz, so there could be 20 oz in there once the stuff down bottom ripens up. That one long stem weighs a pound now with no fan leaves and hollow stems, so it's gonna be good for 3 oz alone when it dries. Really really excited about the result. You can probably see in that photo on the buds as well as my gloves, they are literally dripping. Super impressed with everything I've seen from CKS. I also made my first ever run of bubble. Didn't get a lot of 73, but a bit and a bunch of 25 too. This was just 4 oz of leaves, a lot of it fan leaves that were frosted, so obviously came out quite green. All my popcorn from this run though will be bubbled to make some real quality without any chlorophyll, so good to get a practice run in. Actually really happy with results for a first time. Got very little cooking grade in my 160 which I take as a good sign there's mainly just good stuff in my medicine :). Got them drying on card above the dehuey in the side room then want to try the 73 thru a dab rig and see if I've got good melt. I don't really weigh my wet stuff, I'm only interested in what I'm holding at the other end that is dry, beautifully trimmed and ready for curing :) New plants will be under Vipar KS5000, really can't wait to see what she can do, next run will be these genes under excellent light so I can only imagine what they'll look like now... Will keep things posted if we run into next week which we likely will if these low ones take as long as I think they will.

Really enjoyed the adventure with GG4, always been a fan of GG but not sure I'd ever got my hands on the #4, and it's awesome. Great head/body balance which can be easily controlled by dosage, and they're delicious in all sorts of ways, from gassy phenos, to super tropical fruit, to just deep grape nerds and orange citrus. Really impressed.

@Sour_D, well, after I lost all that money, and then failed to save Laura Palmer, all I had left was the medicine. :D
