I found a place, about 50 x 40 m of pure open sunshine; perfect for my next guerilla grow!
I could only add 8 strains, but there is 10:
5x honey cream
2x kalini asia
3x runiz
10x critical
1x purple punch
2x watermelon zkittlez
1x super silver haze
2x monster skittlez
2x wedding cake
5x skunk xl
Sadly i did not take into account how many or which one of my seeds actually germinated, but if I remember correctly only about 5 did not sprout.
I start this grow now, but will probably only update it after it is harvested in october. Wish me luck! :)
The spot seemed perfect, but did need some help getting ready.
There were loads of thorned plants and nettles that we removed.
We also needed a big space, since we got a lot of extra seeds and just thought f*ck it.
In total we had 43 plants that we moved to the spot. Since it was a guerilla grow we didnt visit weekly,
but rather something like montly. We made a lot of mistakes and learned even more,
so if we implement it all, next year should be a lot better:)
We planted all plants when they were like 2 weeks old.
The soil looked nutrient rich, but it was also kind of rough, so we did have some concernes for the fragile little plants.
We provided some extra stability with some sticks and gave about half of them a wire cone to protect them from bunnys and the like.
After the last update we decided to visit them a few weeks later. The plants were looking very healthy and we actually decided to get rid of the cones,
since non of the other plants seemed munched on by any wildlife. In our group we did have a discussion about the nettles.
Some of us thought the weed would out grow them, others thougt we needed to come back rather soon to get rid of them.
Next update will show what we should have done.
This week, the first big mistake took its effect. The nettles being nettles completely outgrew the weed and turned the clearing in to a Sea of Green,
but then sadly of nettles. Because of this the plants got almost no light, the humidity rose, and snails started eating the plants.
Some of the plants were attacked so heavily they died. Of the 43 plants we planted, only about 28 remained because of the nettles.
At least we learned out lessen and decided to cut them all down, and keep doing that througout the entire summer.
Because the plants had to compete for sunlight, they also started growing very tall and skinny instead of bushy.
More updates are coming!
This week the plants were looking very happy. They had huge leaves, were growing very fast and looked very nice.
The only thing bothering us was that they were very tall and skinny. We hoped that they'd still get a bit more bushy or develop more branches.
In any case, we again murdered all the nettles by ripping them with a rake from the ground. Because it was very hot and dry day,
we just left them on the floor, as they would probably not survive the dry hot day laying there exposed.
So far so good.
From this point on we started to get really exited. The plants were starting to get huge, and it was still early in the season.
We topped them cause we were scared how high they were growing and hoped that that would help them get a bit more bushy.
As always wer stripped the nettles again and hoped every thing would continue going well.
On to the next update!
Another update and so far everything is going according to plan.
The plants are getting absolutely huge. They are still tall and skinny,
but at this point if they flower well it wont matter.
Further there isnt much to say except hoping it would continue to go well
The plants are ridiculously big right now. They have become a forest.
The person for comparison is 1.85 meters tall. The plants must be 2.5 meters or even taller.
They were still standing strong and we tried to tie them together as to hope during a storm they wont fall over.
Now we are getting really exited. Hopefully everything keeps going this well.
This update the biggest problem started finally showing. In the first weeks of flower the biggest plants toppled over and broke their stems.
By the time we visited the plants they were already dead and the leaves started to yellow. We tried tying some plants together,
but i looked more like they pulled each other down instead of supporting each other.
At this point of the 28 plants there were still about 15 big ones standing up so we still had high hopes.
On to the next update!
This update is sadly the last one. We wanted to harvest since the last days of the season were coming in but when we arrived we saw our efforts had been in vain. All plants had fallen over and were rotting. Almost all buds were covered in mold and the plants had been laying there for a while clearly. We did harvest some of the buds that were sticking up in the air and didnt seem like they were covered in mold. Sadly during the drying process probably due to all the spores they started rotting aswell. So sadly enough we went from 43 plants, to giants, to having to toss every single gram of the grow. Even though we didnt get anything, we did learn a lot of important things for next season and will definitely try to improve on those points.
Really sad bro, after all the care 😔
I know what that feels like! I had an entire grow eaten by cows some years ago, now i look back @ that with a smile on my face..
Next time consider topping the plants in it's early veg, that way you end up with a sturdier, bushier plants. That will probably solve your problem of plants bending under their weight.
I would do the topping the day you transplant them to your outdoor spot, that way its also easier to transport the ladies..
Good luck 🍀
I hate seeing this 😳 brings back memories of when I used to grow out in the woods, it sucks to hike all the way in just to find something bad happened 😞 animals people and the weather can ruin a whole year
