Going nicely. Think I overwatered a little in the beginning so letting things dry up a little.

Welcome followers. Looking great and started with some defoliation and LST. Happy with what the miracle grow 4 month feed compost so far. Interested to see what results it brings. I don’t plan to give any additional boosters or feeds at any point but that could change dependant on progress. So far so good though I think. How do you think she looks so far? Let me know.

Welcome followers. Bit of a week with this girl. Entered flowering all guns blazing then I noticed the brown spots on leaves forming(pic3). I was pretty sure it wasn’t the amount I was watering but I did think our water is super soft so have added some calmag to her drink. Shall see how the leaves go through the week now and she will hopefully get back on track. Other than the spots it’s been awesome, she has had a massive stretch with buds forming nicely. Weekly LST and defoliation went well. Watering every other day. Thanks for following. 420Funk.

Welcome followers! So happy with how this is growing. It’s been so steady I keep needing to retrain her to keep things in the right place. LST and defoliation still going great. The introduction of Calmag is now making the difference and will keep it going. Still watering every other day. Thanks for following. Keeping things simple. 420Funk

What else can I do to fix the leaves drying out to crisps? Started feeding with calmag 2 weeks ago just after flowering started but it seems to be getting worse not better in the slightest. Thanks in advance. 420Funk

You've got yourself a major calcium deficiency going here, buddy... and just feeding it calcium or cal/mag is not going to help, particularly since you say you've been doing that and it getting worse. Your diary doesn't mention the PH you maintain with your plant and I think this is the critical source of your problem - and needs to be corrected asap! Calcium is only absorbed when the PH is 6.2 or higher - so if your PH is too low, you can feed it pure calicum and tons of it and it won't absorb one drop... The magnitude of this, and the coloring of the leaves tell me that your PH is far, FAR too low and you need to bring it up. If you don't have one, invest in a PH pen so you can measure the PH of everything you give her - water, nutes... that range should be between 6.2-6.5... The other source of your problem, I think, is that you're relying on MiracleGro which is NOT a cannabis-friendly nute... she needs to be on some bloom nutes with calmag given BUT ONLY ONCE A WEEK... Pick a decent line of nutes - I use FoxFarm, others you might consider are Advanced Nutrients... you don't have to buy the whole set - just get the bloom nutes for now (and if you choose Fox Farm, buy a small bottle of Tiger Bloom - it will give you a small bit of nitrogen, and a lot of Phosphorous and Potassium ... ideal.... get just a small bottle for now as you only want to get this grow through to harvest) and save the MiracleGro for houseplants... Once you have your PH pen (and DON'T rely on strips or drips because they're WILDLY inaccurate), you're going to want to flush your plant by running enough PH'd water through her to equal 3x the pot size... You're growing in a 3 gallon so you'll want to run 9 gallons of ph'd water through each pot. Add about 1/2 strength dose of bloom nutes (if you choose Fox Farm - and I don't have any investment in that brand save for it's the one I use - I would add 1.5tsp of Tiger Bloom) to the last gallon of water - and then sit back and let her dry out before resuming your water/feed/water/feed schedule... But always, Always ALWAYS make sure what you're giving her is in that PH range... One more thing to note - leaves that are already damaged will NOT get better - so to tell whether you've conquered the problem or not, look to the new growth... Good luck!

Welcome followers. I thought she was getting better but it became clear this week she is really struggling. I am a 1st time grower and a broke one at that so was trying to do with as little expense as possible, that said I now realise I must have the basics. Lack of PH reader has led to the plant not taking in the calmag I introduced leading to further issues. Ordered a ph reader and will get on top of it. Learnzing all zee time. Strangely my other 2 grows seem to be just fine but they have a slightly long grow period. Check them out! All that aside her buds are still growing and the redness is starting to show more and more. Smell is deffo getting there as well. Sticky with good trichome growth. Thanks for following. So much for keeping things simple haha. 420Funk

Welcome followers. Got a PH reader this week and have now flushed her through with 6.5 water with calmag. She has started to recover slightly and still putting on to buds. Smells great and really sticky. Couple more weeks should do it. Thanks for reading. 420Funk

Welcome followers. A week of levelling off still. Got some really strong fresh bud growth going on with 95% trichome still clear I’m just keeping a close eye on her. I’m thinking the next week or maybe 2 and we should be cropping. Removed 1 leaf this week that’s it. Thanks for following. 420Funk

Welcome followers! She got chopped today! Actually cropped all 3 today. The loom never lies. 1 in 10 trichomes turning amber. The last few days I could see she was changing and ready for me. Really lush strong grapefruit smell to her that turns lemony once on the fingers. Deep reddish purple in colour. Really happy all 3 have made it so far for my 1st time. Some better than other for yield and quality but gonna get something and that’s all I wanted. Onwards and upwards. Check out my Green Crack and Ultra Lemon Haze grows. So remember I used miracle grow 4 month feed compost and only gave water with calmag. Just goes to show how simple it can be although I will be changing a little for my next grow. Germinating again today. Thanks for reading. Next update will be full harvest details. 420Funk

Hey there friend. Would you be alright with me offering some pointers? So cannabis plants LOVE heat and humidity. It is the buds that hate it. In veg we want to take advantage of this fact to help our plants grow along much quicker and more vigorously. In veg we can look for temps of 79-84 MAX with lights on & no more than 9 degrees less with lights off. If we allow for too much temperature swing between lights on and lights off while the plant is still growing vertically up to day 20 of flower, We will cause the plant to stretch ALOT which we do not want. So in veg & early flower, Keeping our temperature gaps nice and close between lights on and off is key. Utilizing humidity in our rooms during veg will also help out a lot with more rapid growth but we must introduce it properly. In our rooms we have our temperature and humidity set-points, But when we combine those 2 it forms a third set-point which is the most important & that is called VPD, Vapor pressure deficit. I strongly recommend every new grower or old grower who has not learned it yet, To study and understand it & implement it into your room, Logging your numbers daily. https://cerescann.com/importance-of-measuring-vpd/ For soil, We generally want to go for a PH of 6.1. This website does a GREAT job of illustrating it with a nice graph & very good detailed explanation for soil. https://autoflowerseedshop.com/cannabis-ph-chart-guide/ As we briefly touched on before, During veg & early flower we want our temperature gap's nice and tight to avoid stretch. Why exactly our plants stretch in response to this is a genetic trigger being activated by the environmental stress essentially telling the plant the end of the season is closer than it really is. In veg & early flower the plant is still in its first stage of development which is to grow up wide and tall so when it produces seed, It can cast them out nicely. Remember, Whether we are growing our plants for seed or bud their genetic responses do not change as they gh sidedo not know any different. Once the plant has finished that first stage of growth by weeks 4-6 of flower with most strains, It is by day 20 of flower. Autoflowers you have to watch for it, But once the plant has finished this goal its new mission is to focus 100% on producing nice big flower clusters & to get very sticky so it can attract pollen to it successfully. So once that vertical growth is finished, We actually now want to begin to expose our plants to larger temperature swings between lights on and lights off. This will help activate that genetic response and allow us to draw out the most potential from the strain utilizing the plants genetic triggers to environmental stresses at the right times. When we are in flower temperature will really play a big role how our buds form up, If our rooms are too cold below 75 they will form very small buds but very very dense. If we grow our buds out at temperature over 80 degrees we get bigger buds, But they can develop airy and foxtail which we do not get much weight from. Also higher temps will defuse the resin glands over time destroying them. We can also take this a step further with doing light deprivation in the last 2 weeks using less light to simulate cloud cover. Very cold feed temps on the last flush is very good too. If you do not have them already, Get yourself a good PAR meter & thermal laser temp gun to monitor your plant top temperatures & optimize how much light your plants are getting. When we do the pull down, We never want to trim the plant wet or break it down at all. We want to hang it hole in a environment set to 45-50 degrees at 60% humidity for up to 16 days. This allows the plant to break down any potential left over starches or sugars or nutrients within it during this time the plant will produce even more resin & terpenes, This is where you get the true craft cannabis finish. Happy growing friend!
