5/17/22: Germination took an exceptional amount of time for this little baby! She spent almost 2 weeks in a small jar of water before she even started to show her tail! But she has!!
So now begins the life of the first “AUTO” plant I have attempted. I’m going to put the light needs to the limit with her too, because my other plants are already nearing the time to flip to flower. She is going to have to do her own thing with what light I’ll be giving her. (I’m just lazy and don’t want to set the other tent up).
I don’t know what to expect with this plant, but she was given to me by Exotic Seed company with my order of seeds using my free 100€ voucher after placing 9th in the July 2021 diary of the month contest.
Free weed is always wonderful, so everything she ends up giving me is going to be appreciated!
Happy growing everyone!!
5/19/22
Attention fellow Growers!! Sir Jack has entered the grow tent!! Just a tiny sprout 🌱, but it gives me high hopes for this baby girl!!
5/20/22
“Jackie”, as I am going to call her; is doing lovely today! She showed herself just yesterday, and has already reached an inch in height. Woo Hoo!
I decided to mix up the seedling level nutrients today in a half gallon of water. Therefore, I only used half the level for a gallon.
She received half a cup of the following:
FloraMicro - 1.3 ml
FloraGro - 1.3 ml
FloraBloom - 1.3 ml
The initial pH was 7.1, so I added 8 drops 💧 of pH DOWN which adjusted the pH to 6.4. The TDS going in was 390 ppm.
Runoff was as expected in amount, but a first happened for me in the measurements. The runoff pH was 6.5. .1 higher than what was given. The TDS runoff was 2894 ppm.
Tent temperature was 80.1F, and humidity was 62%.
Tomorrow starts week 1 of vegetation. I have no idea what to expect from an auto, but how else does one learn?
Happy growing everyone!
5/22/22
“Jackie” is looking lovely as she starts out on her journey of life. If you have read the germination week; you’ll know that she is the first “auto-flowering” cultivar that I am attempting. I have no idea about timeline, growth to expect, or when she is meant to flip herself into flower. No idea! She is a completely new learning experience for me.
I’m up for the challenge!
Jackie is still going to be using the seedling level nutrients for the time being till she starts developing a little more. Today she received .5 (1/2) cup of the following nutrients mixed into a half gallon of water.
FloraMicro - 1.3 ml
FloraGro - 1.3 ml
FloraBloom - 1.3 ml
The pH was 6.4, and TDS was 390 ppm. Once again, the runoff pH was .1 higher than the pH going in at 6.5. The runoff TDS was 2332 ppm.
The tent temp was pleasant at 78.7F, and humidity was 65%.
I’m keeping my hopes high! Pun totally intended!! Happy growing everyone!
5/24/22
Jackie is still looking lovely, and once again received 1/2 cup of the seedling level nutrients I mixed for her the other day.
I’m not going to list all of the nutrients again until I use all the current solution and make more. FYI, it’s already listed in the previous note above.
Runoff was of sufficient quantity, and the pH was 6.6, and TDS was 2391 ppm.
The tent temp was 76.5F, and humidity was 74%.
Happy growing everyone!
5/27/22
Today is the last day of her first week, and I must say that I’m not all that excited or happy with her progress. She’s hardly growing at all, but since she’s my first auto-period plant, I don’t know what to expect. 🤷
I mixed another half gallon of water with the seedling level nutrients again today. So she received 1.3 ml’s of FloraMicro, FloraGro, and FloraBloom.
The initial/final pH level was 6.3, and TDS was 412 ppm.
Runoff pH was 6.1, and TDS was 2257 ppm.
Tent temperature was 78.1F, and humidity was 59%.
I need to set up another tent to continue her grow till she begins to flower so I can flip my 2 more mature plants tomorrow or the next day. One of her potential clones is still looking pretty good, but the other I’m not so sure about. Only time will tell.
Happy growing everyone!
5/29/22
Rocket is developing; albeit slowly. I’m sure the issue has been with my grow set up, and the fact that the light has been kept way too far away due to the other (more mature) plants in the tent. They are ready for flower, and so Rocket and my other small plants have been relocated to my smaller tent for them to mature better.
I’m still using the early stage growth nutrients as last week. Nothing has changed, but since this is a new week I’ll list it all here.
Today she received 1/2 cup of solution mixed in a half gallon jug of water. She received:
FloraMicro - 1.3 ml
FloraGro - 1.3 ml
FloraBloom - 1.3 ml
pH going in was 6.3, and TDS was 412 ppm.
Runoff was sufficient and pH was 6.1, and TDS was 1967 ppm.
The temperature in the tent was 77F, and humidity was 50%.
The light was placed 12 inches overhead, and air circulation set up adequately. Hopefully being closer to the light will permit her to start growing better than she has so far. Check back soon to see her progress.
Happy growing everyone!
5/31/22
Jackie is going to need to be moved to her forever home very soon! She’s looking good, but I fear that keeping her in the solo cup much longer may stunt her growth.
She’s an “AUTO”, and I have no idea how they mature. I just don’t want to be the cause for her being smaller than she can be. Honestly, I don’t know how to grow “small” plants. All of mine tend to be on the larger size. I’ll move her soon.
I mixed a new batch of solution for her today. Due to her size, and the fact that I have 4 clones also needing the same solution, I’m still using the seedling level nutrients. I did however add CALiMAGic to the mix, just in case.
The following was mixed into a half gallon of water:
CALiMAGic - 1 ml
FloraMicro - 1.3 ml
FloraGro - 1.3 ml
FloraBloom - 1.3 ml
The pH was 6.3 and didn’t need adjusting. The TDS was 538 ppm.
Runoff was sufficient. The pH was 6.1, and TDS was 2057 ppm.
The tent temperature was 86F, and humidity was 66%.
All is well so far. Happy growing everyone!
6/2/22
Jackie has a new home, finally. I decided to get several smaller 10 inch pots for her and her tent mates simply because of the number of plants I have going right now. Discovering how big pots are, or how much they hold is difficult. Anyway, that’s not all that important.
I mixed a gallon of solution for her and her tent mates today using the Early Growth step 2 level of nutrients. She received a total of 3 cups of the following:
CALiMAGic - 2 ml
FloraMicro - 3.8 ml
FloraGro - 5.7 ml
FloraBloom - 2.8 ml
Floralicious Plus - 1 ml
The initial pH was 6.2 and didn’t need to be adjusted. The TDS was 675 ppm.
The runoff was sufficient and the pH was 6.0, and TDS was 2921 ppm.
She is currently in a 2x2x62 inch tent with several other small plants and 8 potential clones. The temperature in the tent was 88F, and the humidity was 90%. 😱 it’s great for the clones, but I don’t know if the higher humidity will have an adverse effect on the smaller plants.
Jackie and the others look fine. She does look small in her new home, but healthy. Like I’ve mentioned before, she is an auto-period plant, and the first of her kind that I’ve attempted. Every day is a surprise with her and a learning experience. I’m up for the challenge.
Happy growing everyone!
6/4/22
Today starts week 3 for little Jackie, and I call her little because she’s still really small compared to the others in the tent with her. I have to remind myself that she started out from a seed, and the others are fully mature clones that tend to grow faster than new plants.
Jackie is looking healthy, green and strong. I’m sure that her growth will pick up in a week or two.
Today I switched to the Early Growth step 3 nutrients which are the same as step 2 which was started on 6/2/22. I mixed the nutrients into a gallon of water since she and Stella’s Cuatro are all at the same stage right now. She received 3 cups of the following solution:
CALiMAGic - 2 ml
FloraMicro - 3.8 ml
FloraGro - 5.7 ml
FloraBloom - 2.8 ml
Floralicious Plus - 1 ml
The initial pH was 6.3 and was not adjusted. The TDS was 667 ppm.
Runoff was sufficient, and pH was 5.9, and TDS was 3955 ppm.
The tent temperature was 88F, and the humidity was somewhere in the 60% range before feeding, but I didn’t make a note of it at the time. The humidity afterwards was 86%. I’m sure it’s higher because 5 plants and 8 clones were fed in the interim.
Jackie (Sir Jack Auto) is looking well, and I can’t wait for her to hit her stride and start growing a little more. It’s still early, so no worries.
Happy growing everyone!
6/6/22
Jackie has grown a tiny bit more and is now 4.5 inches tall, and 14 inches under the light. Her structure is really tight and compact, which is a lot different than I’m used too. Her structure, although short and compact, is quite lovely to look at.
Today she received the last 3 cups of the solution I made a couple of days ago using the early growth stage.
The pH going in was 6.3, and TDS was 667 ppm.
The runoff was sufficient, and the pH was 6.0, and TDS 3261 ppm.
The humidity was astronomical again today at 91%. I said, “Enough of this sh!t!”, and installed the carbon filter and blower to knock it down and improve ventilation. The tent temperature was 86F, which is also high, but not too terrible.
I didn’t take any pics today, but I will tomorrow or the next day so you can all see how she’s doing.
Until then; happy growing everyone!
6/7/22
Jackie is still doing well, and today she received 4 cups of some freshly made solution.
To note; my TDS meter stopped working properly today, so I won’t be adding any TDS data till it’s fixed or replaced.
I started using the Early Growth step 3 of my feed chart today. Her new nutrient levels are as follows:
CALiMAGic - 2 ml
FloraMicro - 5.7 ml
FloraGro - 7.6 ml
FloraBloom - 3.8 ml
Floralicious Plus - 1 ml
The initial pH was 6.1. I added 1.5 ml of pH UP which adjusted the pH to 6.5.
Runoff pH was 5.9.
The tent had been running warm, and the humidity was out of control, so I installed the carbon filter and blower yesterday. Today the temperature was 82F, and the humidity was a much more manageable 54%.
Jackie is still doing well, and I hope she continues that way. Take care, and happy growing everyone!
6/9/22
Well, it appears that Jackie has a mind of her own, and has decided to start flowering already! I told her that she was too small, but she just gave me the finger and said, “Up yours!” What can one do when she’s an auto-period? Nothing but just take it I guess.
Jackie is still the shortest plant I have growing right now at only 6.5 inches tall. My other two plants that are flowering in my big tent are 40.5 inches tall, and 26.5 inches tall. Seeing a plant flower at 6.5 inches is a first for me.
She is my first auto-period plant after all.
Suffice it to say, today is the last time she gets this level of nutrients. I feel like I’m so far behind the ball. It’s the first time a plant fooled me this bad.
I didn’t even know until I defoliated her today. She wasn’t that bad, but she was looking a little bushy for her size.
When I took the leaves away, fed her, them came back to see her again after several hours; she was beautiful!!
I have never seen such a tiny thing look so nice. You can see for yourself in the pics.
I had just increased her nutrients to the Early Growth step 3 two days ago. The joke is on me.
Today she received 6 cups of the following mixed into a gallon of water:
CALiMAGic - 2 ml
FloraMicro - 5.7 ml
FloraGro - 7.6 ml
FloraBloom - 3.8 ml
Floralicious Plus - 1 ml
Ph going in was 6.5. The runoff pH was 6.0. I didn’t get any TDS data due to my meter being weird.
The temperature in the tent was 79F, and the humidity was 65%.
She begins sleeping in the big tent tonight (6/10) with the big girls. She needs her 12 hours of sleep!
Happy growing everyone!
6/11/22
If any of you read my last log for the previous week, you already know that my little Jackie (Sir Jack - auto) decided to start flowering in the middle of last week. She’s my first auto-period plant, and I must admit that I was, and am surprised. I’ve never seen such a tiny plant, only 6.5 inches tall, start to flower.
That’s how we learn!
Needless to say, Jackie’s feeding schedule has been upended, but it’s just skipping ahead a bit. Today starts a new week, and first of flower! She received 4 cups of the following solution (Early Bloom step 1) that was mixed into a gallon of water.
CALiMAGic - 2 ml
FloraMicro - 5.7 ml
FloraGro - 6.6 ml
FloraBloom - 6.6 ml
Floralicious Plus - 2 ml
Liquid KoolBloom - 1 ml
The initial pH was 5.9. I added 3 ml of pH UP which adjusted the pH to 6.5. I didn’t even bother with my TDS meter. I didn’t need the added frustration.
Runoff pH was 5.9. The tent temperature was 86.5F, and humidity was low at 36%.
She’s a beautiful little plant. Stands proud with her leaves outstretched toward the light above. I may like auto-periods for their simplicity, tight structure, and beauty, but I doubt I’m going to like the yield. She’s already surprised me a couple of times, maybe she will again.
Happy growing everyone!
6/13/22
Jackie is still looking wonderful, and she’s continuing to develop her bud sites (nodes) well. She’s also grown a bit over the past week and is now standing proud at 9 inches tall.
My one problem is that her tent mate is 45.5 inches tall and is nearly at the light (again). That presents a problem for her in that I have her set on top of 3 cases of mason jars off the floor, and she’s still 21 inches below the light. 🤷 what is one to do?
Jackie is still receiving the same amount of nutrients as the other day, so I won’t list them again here.
She received 6 cups today, and may have been fine with 5, but 6 is good too. The solution she received is the same from the other day. The pH was 6.5 going in.
Runoff was excellent. Her pH was 5.9. The tent temperature was 88F, and humidity was 51%.
I took off 2 leaves near the top that were covering everything below them to see if that helps any.
She’s looking great. Happy growing everyone!
6/14/22
Jackie is growing up and out, but just a bit. She’s still a small little woman, but she’s pretty. I can’t wait to see what her buds look like, and to smell her aroma.
She received 6 cups of the solution made the other day. She finished it today, so she’s looking forward to some fresh food next time.
The pH going in was 6.5. The runoff pH was 5.8. The tent temperature was 83F, and the humidity was 61%.
I’m going to have to figure out how to make room in her tent for 4 more plants this weekend. She’ll still be on a pedestal somehow so she get her share of the light.
Take care, and happy growing everyone!
6/15/22
Little Jackie is a wonderful little plant! Every time I open my flowering tent I am amazed at the difference between two different plants.
You can’t tell by looking at them, but Jackie and her extra large tent mate are only 2 weeks apart in age. Jackie is less than a foot tall, and her tent mate is 45.5 inches tall, but has had several branches bent over because of her height. Some branches have been bent over twice!
However, Jackie has to sit on top of 3 cases of mason jars stacked on top of each other just to be at an equal (or close to equal) height.
I just find it weird that’s all.
Jackie received 6 cups of some freshly mixed solution using the early bloom nutrient levels again today.
Since it’s been a while, I’ll list them.
CALiMAGic - 2 ml
FloraMicro - 5.7 ml
FloraGro - 6.6 ml
FloraBloom - 6.6 ml
Floralicious Plus - 2 ml
Liquid KoolBloom - 1 ml
I calibrated my pH meter today, and the initial pH was 6.3, and didn’t need adjusting.
The runoff pH was 6.0. The tent temperature was 84.4F, and humidity was 47%.
She’s a pretty little plant. Happy growing everyone!
6/16/22
Another day, another feeding for little Jackie. She is still doing wonderful, and I really don’t have a lot to report on her today.
She received another 6 cups of the solution I mixed for her yesterday. The solution pH was 6.3.
The runoff was sufficient, and the pH was 5.9.
The temperature in the tent was 84.4F, and the humidity was 63%.
That’s all for today. Happy growing everyone!
6/18/22
Today starts week 5, and the beginning of the mid-bloom nutrients, step 3. Jackie has had a little explosion in growth the last few days, and is now standing 16 inches tall. She is currently positioned 14 inches below the light at 100% power.
She took half a gallon of water mixed with the following nutrients:
CALiMAGic - 2 ml
FloraMicro - 4.7 ml
FloraGro - 3.8 ml
FloraBloom - 8.5 ml
Floralicious Plus - 2 ml
Liquid KoolBloom - 2 ml
The pH was 6.2, and was not adjusted. She had plenty of runoff with a pH of 6.0.
The tent temperature was 86.9F, and humidity was 40%.
Jackie is doing wonderful, and her small size is growing on me when all of her tent mates are giants!
Happy growing everyone!
6/20/22
Jackie is doing awesome! She’s grown another 2 inches in just 2 days! She’s now 18 inches tall. I made a video log today, and I believe that I mistakenly said she is 19 inches, but I was incorrect. She’s 18 inches tall. No biggie, but I do like to be precise.
I defoliated her today, taking most of her larger leaves off to open more space for light to get to all her buds. This little auto is starting to grow on me with the ease of growing that she provides. She’s small, but still looks like she’s going to produce a decent amount of bud.
I’m still using the same level of nutrients as the previous note, so I’m not going to repeat them here.
The initial pH was 6.2, and was not adjusted.
Runoff was sufficient, and the pH was 6.1.
The tent temperature was 84.2F, and the humidity was 52%.
Things are going well in my grow room, and I hope the same for all of you. Happy growing everyone!
6/23/22
Despite my not giving her any attention for 2 days, Jackie is continuing to grow and develop her buds into pure goodness. At least I hope it’s pure goodness! She’s a new cultivar for me, and I’m looking forward to getting acquainted with her soon.
Jackie has grown another 1.5 inches in the last 3 days, and is now 19.5 inches tall.
She received half a gallon of water mixed with the following nutrients:
CALiMAGic - 2 ml
FloraMicro - 4.7 ml
FloraGro - 3.8 ml
FloraBloom - 8.5 ml
Floralicious Plus - 2 ml
Liquid KoolBloom - 2 ml
The pH was 6.3, and not adjusted. She had plenty of runoff, with a pH of 6.0.
The tent is crowded, but she has her own spot and gets plenty of airflow. The tent temperature was 85.1F, and the humidity was 51%.
She continues to do well, which gives me joy. I wish joy upon each of you and your grow rooms!
Happy growing everyone!
6/25/22
Jackie is starting to grow on me. What I really mean, is that her being an auto-period is growing on me. I was talking to my wife yesterday, and I think we decided that I’ll try ONLY auto-periods for the next grow.
I like not having to worry about the plant getting too big! Besides little Jackie here, I have a grow room filled with giants this time around, and I’m tired!
Enough blabbering on. Today Jackie received the second half of the solution I prepared for her the other day. I may need to start giving her some more, because today she took half a gallon of solution, but didn’t have any runoff at all.
She received:
CALiMAGic - 2 ml
FloraMicro - 4.7 ml
FloraGro - 3.8 ml
FloraBloom - 8.5 ml
Floralicious Plus - 2 ml
Liquid KoolBloom - 2 ml
The pH was 6.3, and was not adjusted. Like I said above, she didn’t have any runoff, so nothing to report today as far as runoff pH.
The tent temperature was 84.4F, and humidity was 45%.
She’s doing wonderful, and is full of pistils! I can’t wait to try her when she’s ready.
Happy growing everyone!
6/27/22
I had to do some power washing outside today, so Jackie was one of the lucky plants that I actually had time to feed today once I finished up.
I was contemplating giving her more than half a gallon today because she didn’t give me any runoff two days ago. However, today she gave me a sufficient amount of runoff with just half a gallon. 🤷♂️ I guess she’s a finicky girl.
Today I mixed a gallon of water with the same nutrient level that she received the other day. I say that so you can look at the note above to see what she received without typing it out again here.
The solutions pH was 6.3, and didn’t need to be adjusted.
Her runoff pH was 5.9.
The tent temperature was 82.2F, and the humidity was 55%.
I’m truly in love with her size! I’ve seen a lot of other auto-period plants that seem to only grow a single branch. I’ve always been of the opinion that auto-periods weren’t really worth the effort, but she has changed my mind!
She’s smaller than ALL of my other plants, but her branches, nodes, and pistil development is absolutely wonderful!! I’m actually looking forward to doing nothing but auto-periods for my next grow. I hope all of my future auto’s are as awesome as she is!
Happy growing everyone!
6/29/22
Jackie received the other half gallon of the solution I made the other day for her and she took it happily and gave back a sufficient amount of runoff for my efforts.
Jackie received:
CALiMAGic - 2 ml
FloraMicro - 4.7 ml
FloraGro - 3.8 ml
FloraBloom - 8.5 ml
Floralicious Plus - 2 ml
Liquid KoolBloom - 2 ml
pH going in was 6.3, and the runoff pH was 5.8. I’m still not messing with my TDS meter. I already have enough frustration in my life!
The tent has gotten super crowded since Stella’s Cuatro moved in! Jackie is the smallest plant among a group of giants, but she’s still doing wonderful! I’m contemplating moving her to my smaller tent where only 2 plants are currently flowering, but both of those will be getting bigger fast!
🤷 Whats one to do? I’ll decide at some point and you all will find out when and if it happens.
The tent temperature was 84.2F, and the humidity was 41%.
Take care all, and happy growing everyone!
7/1/22
Today marks the final day of week 6. She should be about half way done right now since Exotic Seed Co. says that her growth cycle is 12 weeks from seed to harvest. All I know is that she’s looking wonderful right now. Such a lovely little plant!
We are still the mid-bloom level nutrients, so they are the same as 2 days ago.
Today I mixed another gallon of solution and gave her half. The solution had a pH of 6.4 once everything was mixed up and wasn’t adjusted.
She had plenty of runoff with a pH of 5.9. The temperature was 85.1F, and humidity was 54%. She’s doing great, but is the only small plant that I’m growing right now, but her size doesn’t bother me. I actually love it! She has lots of nodes with outstanding pistil development, and I can’t wait to see how her buds are going to look once she matures some more.
Till next time. Happy growing everyone!
7/3/22
Jackie is supposed to be moving on to the “Late Bloom” stage nutrients this week, but I still have the last half gallon of the mid-bloom solution from the other day.
So today she received a half gallon of water with the following nutrients. She will start the late bloom nutrients next feeding.
CALiMAGic - 2 ml
FloraMicro - 4.7 ml
FloraGro - 3.8 ml
FloraBloom - 8.5 ml
Floralicious Plus - 2 ml
Liquid KoolBloom - 2 ml
The pH going in was 6.4. She has sufficient runoff with a pH of 6.0.
The tent is even more crowded, but she’s still getting plenty of light because she is the only one put up on a box to get coverage.
The tent was 80.5F, with humidity at 60%.
She looks great, has wonderful pistil and bud formation everywhere! She’s truly lovely to look at. She’s now 21.5 inches tall. Half way to harvest!
Happy growing everyone!
7/5/22
Jackie, Jackie, Jackie. (The_Good_Twin looks at her with a pleased look on his face). I have plenty of problems, and issues in my grow tent. But, Jackie isn’t one!
I have a grow room full of beasts, and in the middle, sitting on her cardboard pedestal, is lovely, and beautiful Jackie.
I defoliated her a great deal today, but I only took the leaves with long stems. I left all of her beautifully small sugar leaves alone. You can’t really tell much if you compare photos from 2 days ago to today. 🤷♂️
Jackie started receiving the Late Bloom, step 6 nutrients today. I mixed a gallon of water with the following nutrients.
CALiMAGic - 2 ml
FloraMicro - 3.8 ml
FloraGro - 3.8 ml
FloraBloom - 4.2 ml
Floralicious Plus - 2 ml
Liquid KoolBloom - 1 ml
The pH was 6.5, and wasn’t adjusted. Jackie received 1/2 gallon today, she’ll get the rest next feeding.
She gave back sufficient runoff with a pH of 6.0. The tent was 83F, with humidity at 65%. I opened up [some] space in the tent, and adjusted the fan with hope of improving air flow.
Jackie is doing great! Bravo to the people at Exotic Seed for the awesome genetics!
Happy growing everyone!
7/7/22
Jackie is awesome! I know you all are tired of reading about that, but it’s true. Sorry.
She is still getting the late bloom nutrients, and received the second half of the gallon I prepared 2 days ago. Look at the previous note for the nutrients she received.
The solution pH was 6.5, and her runoff pH was 6.0. The tent was 82.4F, with humidity at 61%.
Jackie’s buds are starting to get fat, and her smell is absolutely heavenly! Truly nice on the nose. Other than her buds, nothing else is getting big on her, and if you’re following ANY of my other current diaries you know that that by itself is a blessing.
She has not given me a single issue this entire grow. I’m really impressed with her genetics, and the way she grows.
Let’s hope she stays that way. Happy growing everyone!
7/9/22
Today is the start of week 8 in Jackie’s life cycle. I am in love with this plant! She is developing so beautifully that I almost feel bad because she doesn’t require any extra attention from me at all. Oh, and her smell is heavenly!! I just want to bury my nose in it and take deep breathes.
Anyway, let’s get to it.
She is keeping with the late bloom nutrients, but moves to step 7. It’s no different than step 6, so same as before.
She received 1/2 gallon of water mixed in a gallon with the following nutrients:
CALiMAGic - 2 ml
FloraMicro - 3.8 ml
FloraGro - 3.8 ml
FloraBloom - 4.2 ml
Floralicious Plus - 2 ml
Liquid KoolBloom - 1 ml
The initial pH was 6.6 and wasn’t adjusted. Jackie gave back a sufficient amount of runoff with a pH of 6.0.
The tent was 79.7F, with a humidity level of 54%.
Absolutely lovely! She will start the ripening stage next week, but this week she’ll continue to bloom and grow.
Happy growing everyone!
7/12/22
I was supposed to feed my little Jackie yesterday, but got sidetracked and ran out of time. Missing 1 day isn’t all that bad, so today she was given the second half of the gallon I prepared a few days ago.
Same solution, so look at the previous note for ingredients.
The solution pH going in was 6.6, and she gave back plenty of runoff with a pH of 5.9.
The tent was 82.6F, and humidity was 50%.
Jackie continues to fatten up her buds, and has actually grown 1/2 inch, now making her a whopping 22 inches tall.
I find that little bit of information funny because compared to all of my other plants she is super small, but she is still jam packed with bud!
She’s beautiful, and smells wonderful!! She is my favorite plant this grow cycle simply because she is easy, and gives me zero issues.
She’s awesome! Happy growing everyone!
7/14/22
Feeding time again, and Jackie received some freshly made solution today. Half today, and half in a couple of days.
She’s still using the same level of nutrients, so I’m not going to rewrite them here. Just look above, or on the site report.
I calibrated my pH meter today with a new calibration solution, and everything seemed weird today. Anyway….
The initial pH was 6.0, and I added 2 ml’s of pH UP which only adjusted it to 6.3.
The runoff pH was scary at 5.5. My first response was, “WTF!”. Then later I noted that ALL of my plants were lower today than usual. 🤷 I’ll have to recalibrate it again tomorrow.
The tent was 81.4F, with humidity at 55%.
Jackie continues to be a gem in my garden! Happy growing everyone!

Today is the 1st day of week 9, as well as the beginning of the Ripening stage of growth! Now, I made my plan according to Exotic Seed’s timeline of “12 weeks from seed to harvest”. I learned to trust them from a previous grow, and my mistake in NOT listening. I learned to listen, and heed their instructions.
Jackie is still doing wonderful! I have zero complaints about her.
I’ve been having issues with getting the right pH lately, but I have a plan, so I won’t bore you with the details.
As I mentioned above, today starts the ripening nutrients. They were mixed into a gallon of water, of which Jackie received half.
FloraMicro - 5 ml
FloraBloom - 15 ml
Floralicious Plus - 1 ml
Dry KoolBloom - 0.5 tsp
Initial pH - 5.4. I added a total of 9 ml’s of pH UP over 3 separate increments which adjusted the pH to 6.3.
The runoff was 5.4. I’m going to switch out H2O jugs to see if it fixes the issue.
The tent was 81.7F with a humidity of 56%.
Jackie is still a gem! Happy growing everyone.

I’m going to try and stay brief today. Jackie is still the most beautiful plant in my grow room right now. I have no complaints or concerns about her which is nice.
She received the 2nd half of the ripen nutrients and water I mixed for her a couple of days ago. The pH going in was 6.3, and her runoff pH was 5.5.
The nutrients given were listed out on the 7/16/22 note if you’re curious.
The tent was 80.5F with humidity at 70%. Now, the hygrometer had fallen over and was laying on its display when I first picked it up and looked at it. The reading was what is listed above, but after taking her out to feed her, I sat the hygrometer down correctly. When I came to open the tent to get some of the other plants out to feed, it read differently. Temp was 83.3F, with humidity at 58%.
Which is correct? 70% humidity would be higher than history shows, so I’m leaning more toward the 58%. 🤷
She’s doing great regardless. Happy growing everyone!
7/21/22
Jackie had to go an extra day without water again, but you can’t tell. She continues to be awesome, and her smell has kicked into another gear! Lovely!!
She’s keeping with the ripen nutrients, and today received a half gallon of solution from the gallon I made for her. She received:
FloraMicro - 5 ml
FloraBloom - 15 ml
Floralicious Plus - 1 ml
Dry KoolBloom - .5 tsp
The initial pH was 5.2. I added 12 ml’s of pH UP which adjusted it to 6.2. She gave back plenty of runoff with a pH of 5.5.
The tent was 83.9F, and humidity was 52%.
I’m just adding some closeup pics of her buds today. I hope you enjoy them.
Happy growing everyone!
7/23/22
Jackie is continuing with the ripening nutrients for another week, and then we start the flush. But she still has a few weeks to go.
As usual, Jackie is the delight in my garden! The smallest, yet most beautiful plant that I’m currently growing. I wish I could find a way to cool my tent down at night in order to give her trichomes a chance to start costing her leaves and buds a little more, but as of right now I’m stumped on how to do that with what I currently have. 🤷♂️ Oh well.
Jackie received the 2nd half of the gallon I prepared for her the other day. Since this is a new week, I’ll list them for you.
CALiMAGic - 2 ml
FloraMicro - 5 ml
FloraBloom - 15 ml
Floralicious Plus - 1 ml
Dry KoolBloom - 0.5 tsp
The pH was adjusted from an initial 5.2 to 6.2 by adding 12 ml’s of pH UP.
She gave back sufficient runoff with a pH of 5.4, which is lower than I’d like to see, but she still looks very healthy and smells absolutely divine!
Her tent was 83.7F, with humidity at 54%.
Jackie is a gem! Happy growing everyone!
7/25/22
Jackie is about half way through the second week of ripening nutrients, and is quickly approaching the flush. I can’t wait! The flush is like seeing the finish line in the distance.
I mixed up a fresh gallon of water with the nutrients today with the intent on giving her half now, half in a couple of days as usual. She received the same level of nutrients as the other day, so I won’t list them again here.
The initial pH of the mixed gallon was 5.4. I added 12 ml of pH UP which adjusted the pH to 6.4.
She gave me plenty of runoff with a pH of 5.5. I wish it were higher, but it is what it is.
She looks and smells great, and today I took some pics of her trichomes for your viewing pleasure.
The tent was 82.2F, and the humidity was 58%.
Just a little while longer. Happy growing everyone!
7/27/22
Hello fellow growers! Hopefully all of you are having a wonderful time in your gardens cultivating some of the best home grown marijuana in the world! I know I am.
Today Jackie received the second half of the gallon of water mixed with ripening nutrients from the other day. She took it well, and gave back a bunch of runoff for measuring.
The solutions pH going in was 6.4, and the runoff pH was a whole point less at 5.4.
The tent was 80.6F, with a humidity level of 55%.
I took a few more pics of her trichomes today for your viewing pleasure. In my opinion she still has a few weeks to go according to how they’re looking to me. Luckily, that’s how much time is left till harvest.
Lucky me! No problems, no complaints, no issues. She continues to be a gem!
Happy growing everyone!
7/29/22
Today is the last day of week 10 for dear Jackie. Per Exotic Seed, Sir Jack Auto should only take 12 weeks from seed to harvest. I learned from a previous grow to trust the seed bank whenever they post such information on their own products.
So; Jackie received her last drop of nutrients today because the next step is the FLUSH!!
I actually had to do a little Low Stress Training (LST) on her today. I was surprised, but also very pleased. The reason for the LST was due to 3 of her branches getting so weighed down with bud that they started to bend down, away from the middle of the plant.
Fat buds = heavy branches! I just used some of the malleable, rubber coated wound wire to go around the branches and tie them around the center stalk of the plant.
Look at the pics I posted today. The pic of Jackie with her label showing (front) shows no evidence of the LST. However, the pic with the view of her back shows 2 of the 3 adjustments.
Her buds have gotten noticeably bigger, and some color is starting to change, but nothing drastic.
Today she received a half gallon of water I mixed fresh for her last nutrient feeding. She received:
FloraMicro - 5 ml
FloraBloom - 15 ml
Floralicious Plus - 1 ml
Dry KoolBloom - 0.5 tsp
Initial pH was 5.4. I added 12 ml of pH UP which adjusted it to 6.3. Runoff was excellent with a pH if 5.5.
Her tent was 82.6F, and humidity was 61%.
Jackie looks great, smells great, and is still the gem 💎 in my garden. Happy growing everyone!
7/31/22
Jackie has reached an important milestone in her young, and short life today! She has graduated from nutrients and water, to just plain, properly pH’ed water.
I began feeding my plants yesterday (the day that this is dated), but got interrupted, and didn’t get finished with all of them. Jackie is the easiest, so she was fed first and on time.
However, since I wasn’t able to get finished with all the others, I waited till today to take pics of her trichomes and write this note.
She received half a gallon of water that had an initial pH if 7.4, that was adjusted to 6.4 by adding 0.4 ml of pH DOWN.
She gave back sufficient runoff with a pH of 5.5.
The tent was 80.3F, and humidity was 55%.
She’s got some more heavy branches, but they didn’t require support just yet. I simply positioned her to where they wouldn’t be hanging against gravity, but are supported by part of the tent.
Just a couple weeks of flushing and then harvest time! Happy growing everyone.
8/3/22
Jackie continues to impress me with everything that she does. She has practically grown by herself! The only thing that I have had to do with her is feed her water and nutrients, and defoliate her a couple of times. That’s it.
It wasn’t until recently that I had to do any LST on her, and that was only to support her heavy, bud laden branches. I love the headaches she gives me, which is none!
After saying all of that, today I had to add a few support poles to keep her from leaning a little bit, but I did it because I wanted to, not necessarily because I had too. It helps, but isn’t required. I figured that if I could make her last couple weeks easier to manage, then why not?
Her buds are super fat, and they are starting to turn either dark blue, or a purplish color that I find beautiful.
Took some pics of her and her trichomes today, and you all can see for yourselves how she’s doing.
Today she took the other half of the gallon of fresh, properly pH’ed water that I prepared for her the other day.
The pH going in was 6.4, and the runoff she gave back had a pH of 5.3. A lot lower than I want, but I can’t complain because of how she looks and smells. Which is awesome by the way!!
The tent was 83.2F, and the humidity was 52%.
Looking at her makes me anxious for my next grow, which is only going to consist of auto-period plants. Happy growing everyone!
8/6/22
My wife was away on vacation with her best friend visiting her friend’s family in Peru 🇵🇪 for 3 weeks. She got back in between feeding days for my plants. Needless to say, life got in the way again and all of my ladies took a back seat for a couple of days. 🤷♂️
At this stage (the flush), I wasn’t too worried about Jackie. She’s been awesome this entire grow, and going a day longer without getting fed didn’t really matter at all. In fact, she looks better now than she ever has.
I mixed another gallon of fresh water with the appropriate amount of pH DOWN to in order to feed my lady. The initial pH was 7.5. I added 0.4 ml of pH DOWN which adjusted the pH to 6.5.
I gave her 10 cups of water today because she had gone an extra day without, but she really didn’t need it. She gave a lot of it back as runoff. Her runoff pH was 5.6.
Her tent was 85.9F, with humidity at 48%.
Jackie has deepened the color I mentioned toward the end of last week, and her trichomes are looking crusty in a beautiful way. This is a wonderful plant, and she should be ready for harvest in about a week.
She’s completely changed my opinion on auto-period plants, and cutting her up is going to be bittersweet, but that’s what I’m growing her for. Happy growing everyone!
8/8/22
Today is a somewhat weird day in that it’s the normal feeding day for my plants, but I ran out of some important nutrients the other day which make it impossible to feed anything today except Jackie.
Jackie is getting pure, properly pH’ed water, and that I have plenty of!
Jackie received a half a gallon of water today with a pH of 6.5. Her runoff, which was plentiful, was 5.7. Very nice for this stage in her life. It’s shows, or at least I hope it does, that she has a good, nourishing root environment. She looks, and smells fantastic!
Her tent was 85.1F, and humidity is at 52%.
I took her outside today because I wanted to see what she looked like in direct sunlight. I took pictures of her for your viewing pleasure.
If you look through the screen door, you’ll get a good look at our little (not really little) dogs. Anya is a pit bull, and Demitri, who’s more shy, is a boxer.
Anya always loved to be around and to sniff my babies whenever she gets the chance. She’s a lot like me in that regard, but other than that, she’s definitely my wife’s dog.
Happy growing everyone!
8/11/22
Jackie is definitely exhibiting some purple hues that are lovely to gaze at! Her flowers are wonderfully covered in trichomes and glisten in the light. Still the best plant in my garden, at least this time around.
Jackie is continuing with the flush and is actually near the end of her scheduled life. Exotic Seed Company says it should be 12 weeks, seed to harvest, and we’re almost done with week 12! Depending on a few things, today may have been her last feeding till I let her dry up to harvest. We’ll have to see come Saturday.
Today she took another half gallon of fresh, properly pH’ed water. The initial pH was 7.5, to which I added 0.4 ml of pH DOWN which adjusted the pH to 6.3.
Jackie gave back plenty of runoff with a pH of 5.8. Her tent was 82.6F, with humidity at 52%.
We’re so close to the end that I believe I’m going to miss Jackie once she’s harvested. That’ll be a first. Happy growing everyone!
I started this diary with zero experience with auto-period plants. I had never grown one before and I didn’t know what to expect. Boy was I PLEASANTLY surprised!
I want to begin by sending a great BIG thank you to the people at Exotic Seed Company! They have produced an absolutely amazing product that quite nearly grows itself!
Jackie (as I called her), presented no problems, no issues, nothing negative at all to report.
🏆🏆 Bravo to Exotic Seed Company 🏆🏆 Bravo, not just for the top notch genetics, but also because Jackie here was grown from a free sample seed that was sent along with my seed order.
I couldn’t have asked for a better grow, and I would recommend both, the cultivar, and the seed company to anyone!
8/26/22
The last time that I fed, and I mean really fed Jackie was on August 11th. I had every intention on letting her use every last drop of water, then harvest her. However, it took me longer to harvest another plant, and my time table was pushed back a bit.
I ended up starting the harvest on 8/16, but I decided to harvest her differently than I had ever harvested a plant before. I decided to cut off each branch one at a time till I was done, and to put her back into the grow tent each day when I was done.
On 8/16/22 I took 3 branches off and trimmed, then got their wet weights and hung them up to dry.
I went out of town for a day trip on 8/17, then cut and trimmed, then weighed 2 more branches on the 18th.
Then, on 8/19, I got all of the rest trimmed up and weighed, then hung up to dry.
Fast forward to 8/24/22….
I collected all of Jackie’s dried branches and buds and weighed them again to get their dry weight on the branches. After that, I removed all of the bud from the branches and got the true harvest weight of the buds alone.
Here’s how all of the weights turned out.
The combined wet-trimmed weight = 7.892 ounces.
The dry-trimmed weight with the branches and buds = 2.505 ounces.
The actual harvest weight (buds alone) = 2.091 ounces.
After getting everything weighed, I placed all of the bud into 2 quart sized jars and affixed my own label with the name and end of harvest date.
Jackie (Sir Jack - Auto) was my very first attempt at growing an auto-period plant. My opinion of them beforehand was not good, but it was due to ignorance mainly, but also after looking at some other auto-period plants on grow diaries that were less than stellar.
Growing Jackie completely changed my mind, and has led me to decide to only plant a couple of auto-periods (also from Exotic Seed) for my next grow season. I only hope that they are as wonderful as little Jackie was!
This concludes the harvest diary for Sir Jack-Auto. I hope you all have enjoyed following along, and I hope that all of your gardens grow wonderful weed!!
Happy growing everyone!
@Exotic_Seed,
I’ve been trying to contact you, but my attempts have gone unanswered. Please let me know how and where you would like me to contact you.
@Exotic_Seed,
Thank you for checking back in. I always wondered how other growers diaries were “approved by” the seed bank.
I guess one just needs to do a good job and the rest handles itself. I’m glad that you all approve.
Stay tuned though! My next grow season is going to be:
Strawberry Cola - auto &
Purple Monkey - auto.
