Jackie has reached an important milestone in her young, and short life today! She has graduated from nutrients and water, to just plain, properly pH’ed water.
I began feeding my plants yesterday (the day that this is dated), but got interrupted, and didn’t get finished with all of them. Jackie is the easiest, so she was fed first and on time.
However, since I wasn’t able to get finished with all the others, I waited till today to take pics of her trichomes and write this note.
She received half a gallon of water that had an initial pH if 7.4, that was adjusted to 6.4 by adding 0.4 ml of pH DOWN.
She gave back sufficient runoff with a pH of 5.5.
The tent was 80.3F, and humidity was 55%.
She’s got some more heavy branches, but they didn’t require support just yet. I simply positioned her to where they wouldn’t be hanging against gravity, but are supported by part of the tent.
Just a couple weeks of flushing and then harvest time! Happy growing everyone.

Jackie continues to impress me with everything that she does. She has practically grown by herself! The only thing that I have had to do with her is feed her water and nutrients, and defoliate her a couple of times. That’s it.
It wasn’t until recently that I had to do any LST on her, and that was only to support her heavy, bud laden branches. I love the headaches she gives me, which is none!
After saying all of that, today I had to add a few support poles to keep her from leaning a little bit, but I did it because I wanted to, not necessarily because I had too. It helps, but isn’t required. I figured that if I could make her last couple weeks easier to manage, then why not?
Her buds are super fat, and they are starting to turn either dark blue, or a purplish color that I find beautiful.
Took some pics of her and her trichomes today, and you all can see for yourselves how she’s doing.
Today she took the other half of the gallon of fresh, properly pH’ed water that I prepared for her the other day.
The pH going in was 6.4, and the runoff she gave back had a pH of 5.3. A lot lower than I want, but I can’t complain because of how she looks and smells. Which is awesome by the way!!
The tent was 83.2F, and the humidity was 52%.
Looking at her makes me anxious for my next grow, which is only going to consist of auto-period plants. Happy growing everyone!
@Exotic_Seed,
I’ve been trying to contact you, but my attempts have gone unanswered. Please let me know how and where you would like me to contact you.
@Exotic_Seed,
Thank you for checking back in. I always wondered how other growers diaries were “approved by” the seed bank.
I guess one just needs to do a good job and the rest handles itself. I’m glad that you all approve.
Stay tuned though! My next grow season is going to be:
Strawberry Cola - auto &
Purple Monkey - auto.
