So this week I thought I had overwatered the plant. I keep hearing that is a noob mistake, so I was constantly looking for signals of overwatering. Some leaves turned yellow and the whole plant was droopy. So I stopped watering for two days and initially it looked like it was getting better, but suddenly it looked so weak. So I gave it a lot of water and pretty much within one hour it looked better.
I bought a moist meter the next day and started measuring. It was bone dry! The moist meter is a lifesaver, the knuckle thing just doesn’t work for me.
So now I’ve upped watering amounts from 0,4 litres to 0,75 litres.
But now at least I’m not watering blind because of the moist meter.
I think the plant looks healthy and has a lot of potentially big buds! Let’s hope!
Hi. Let your soil dry out a bit more between watering. At this stage it takes most its water through the leaves. You shouldn't need to water twice a day. Once every few days. Looks like it's over watered to me but not to much that it will ruin it. Hope this helps.
What is topping and when do I do it? I just saw a grow diary with the same seed, He did something called topping in week three what is that. Help first time
DO NOT TOP AN AUTOFLOWER!!!!!!!!!!!!
Autoflowers cannot handle the stress that such a technique produces... it will most likely ruin your entire grow. They are pre-programmed to do things at certain times and major stress will interfere with that "program." The MOST you should do is some LST but not for quite a while yet... The diary you saw that mentioned topping was probably growing a photoperiod - they can handle the stress but autos can't. I only grow autos so take a look at any of my diaries if you want...
Good luck!
Hi! This week my plant has not grown so much in height. It was 48 cm last week and this week it’s 52. I’m done some very light defoliation because big leaves was blocking so much light. Other then that I haven’t used any LST. Anything wrong here?
after the initial stretch at the beginning of flowering they stop vertical growth and buds start to fatten up instead. nothing wrong with it. give it a little epsom salt as i can see mag and sulphur need on your plant other than that they look healthy.
you may want to include a micro with the grow and bloom into your grow as well. but they are looking alright. congrats.
calcium def. this is that rare occasion when calmag can actually be utilized by a grower :)
damaged leaves will not heal but adding calmag to your feed will stop spread. use 1/2 strength as the recommended dose by the manufacturer.
peace!
@GrowingGrannie, thanks!!!! I have no idea what I’m doing, this is my very first time 😂 But I couldn’t have done it without this site and nice people like yourself!
