Pinched out growing tips and set tomato cages around them. Will start LST as soon as side branches are big enough. Weather hot, 94-100. No signs of distress.
Weather is good, a lot cooler and a little rain.a lot of stretch this week. LST to the tomato cage and then to the ground. Hoping they will fill out in the middle. Pulling beets so they'll get more sun. Started bloom feeding.
Weather has been hot but rainy, over an inch in the last week. Supposed to be 10° cooler tomorrow. Ogreberry is doing well, could have trained them better, next one will pinch a bit sooner to encourage branching faster and LST in four directions instead of two.
Been a pretty hot week in the 100s. Coming along nicely, I had to remove training straps those stems wouldn't get squeezed or cut. Got a half inch of rain tonight dont need to water tomorrow
Record high temperatures, 107° Fahrenheit yesterday. They look like they're close, so I'm stopping nutrients and the flush and give straight water from this point out. Looks like about 2 weeks into harvest, one plant further along on the other might give it three weeks.
Temperature is dropping significantly, heat wave is over, temps dropping significantly. 80s yesterday and today, tomorrow 89.. started harvest on overberry one, pulled 150 g weight off, 80 grams dry. Second plant seems to be following behind a little later, even has one branch that is just started filling out. Will probably harvest the rest of Ogreberry 1 in the morning
Harvest near complete on ogreberry number one, just under 3 ounces curing. The plant is still growing lol So I left it there. The second plant shot is another branch out with brand new buds on it so I decided to wait on harvesting on that, and looks like the other branches are starting to double stack getting really thick nice looking. Trichromes are still clear and cloudy But keeping it close I on it because it's maturing pretty fast, probably harvest next week.
First plant was harvested on day 66. It had a beautiful berry-like smell rotten fruit. Buds were pretty gray color nice trichomes perfect timing. Second plant had an odd bottom branch that started budding on Day 70, so I let it stay for a little while longer. It started to foxtail and get a little bit wispy, started to smell a little bit different so I decided to go ahead and harvest it on day 78. Do think I actually should have harvested a little sooner. Trichromes we're still somewhat cloudy but a few Amber some clear, but the terpene profile changed a little bit leaving it a little longer started to smell a little more fuelly which I don't prefer... Smells amazing curing though, lost a little bit of that spicy smell being replaced by a rotten fruit smell. Good weight; first plant had wonderful density the second one was a little bit wispy could have been a little bit more dense. I need to find maybe a final stage flowering food. Cure on the first one is going great, I've had a sample and it hits pretty hard, good one for night time. Definitely really good taste, not harsh. Really heavy on the eyes. Really great on my back pain. All in all something I would probably purchase and grow in the future.
All in all, very easy strange to grow. Good for beginners. I LSTd these too, and would like to grow one without having any training. So I have one going for the very last of the year that I am not going to train I'll just pinch out the tip and see what the difference is. I did not use any IPM on these plants, and hemp borers got in but did not cause much damage, lost maybe five grams. Pretty impressed with the past resistance..except for the aphids at the very final days right before harvest. They seemed attracted to it quite a bit, and since it was so close to harvest I did not use any IPM and just went ahead and harvested. You could have been better, but I think it's because they were some of my first plants and I lacked the experience to be able to LST them properly, even though I was impressed with them I would have liked to have them spread a little more. There is still one major branch and some clumps out there probably another 100 G wet. Harvest was fairly simple, although it was quite a bit leafy, but harvesting the second plant almost in total took just a little over 2 hours, so not too bad for some nice buds and not very much damage from pests.
